Review: Design not as advertised! - The shoe rack is functional but the design is not as advertised. All of the screws are visable and silver. They are extremely noticeable against the cherry finish. The instructions were in Chinese or Japanese and unless you read the language, you will be unable to decipher them. Luckily, the construction was fairly straightforward. If you haven’t put together furniture before, I would not recommend this product. Review: BAD INSTRUCTIONS - Poor Quality - I have a high IQ and struggled with this. Took over an hour (30 mins to get the styrofoam remnants off of it). Instructions are in Chinese only. No numbering or translation what so ever. It is particle board so I was careful NOT to over-tighten. Still, fasteners will not grip tightly. This is a $49.95 dollar product (at best). Not $100 for sure. See photos of concerns. Screws bulge thru finished surfaces. Exposed Screw Heads (for $100 it should be counter-sinked with caps). Chipped corners and edges. It is not a good build quality for $100. If it was 49.95 then I would give it 4 stars. Oh, and the screw driver that comes with the kit (just throw it away). It is soft metal and will strip your fasteners. I used my own screw driver and had ZERO issues driving the screws. I'm 175 pounds and will not sit on this. Hope this helps . . .
