Gillette…the best a WOMAN can have.
I am a woman with PCOS which sadly means I am blessed with a little extra facial hair. I have tried multiple methods of shaving this hair (which is primarily above my upper lip and on my chin, both awkward to shave spots. I have tried dermaplaning. I’ve tried shaving with a regular razor primarily marketed towards women. Doing both of those things, I managed to cut myself. And with both of those things, I could still feel the remains of little stubble-y hairs, even on day one. I’m a bit of a wimp so waxing, which I tried once before, wasn’t going to happen. I searched on tiktok to see what other PCOS girls were using for facial hair. I found a video where this razor was recommended. Part of my was like ‘well I’ve already used a razor, AND a razor marketed as being for sensitive skin…and it was nothing special. So surely this will be just another waste of money I’ll end up using to shave my legs.’ The other part of me was desperately hoping that maybe this would be the fix to all of my problems. WELL LET ME TELL YOU, IT WAS. I used this razor for the first time and, immediately on first stroke, was absolutely impressed. It didn’t feel like it was dragging on my skin, or catching on and pulling the hairs. It felt so nice and gentle I was worried that it actually wasn’t getting the job done. When I was finished, I rinsed my face and that is when I was INSTANTLY sold on this razor FOREVER. My chin was COMPLETELY SMOOTH. My chin hasn’t been completely smooth since I was a teenager. I am amazed. AND!! ZERO CUTS! Now, like any razor, you will probably feel a little something on day two or three once the hairs start growing back. But this razor making shaving my face not as unpleasant and I find it easy enough to do every other day. Basically, if you are a girl, struggling with PCOS, and looking for a solution to those pesky facial hairs, don’t be embarrassed or self conscious of purchasing this because it’s a ‘men’s’ razor. It is truly worth it and so superior to any other razor I’ve tried on my face that I’m just sad I didn’t try to look for something better sooner. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone, no matter your gender. Almost everyone shaves in some capacity, and everyone deserves a comfortable shave.

Best headshave
Smooth and irritation free. I've got curly hair and was even able to shave comfortably against the grain. Definitely a must have for any bald guy!

shockingly good! great for sensitive baldies
wow! i had very low expectations given poor experiences with disposable blades in the past. i have curly part African hair and can get ingrowns easily when shaving my head. i’ve tried many many different kinds of razors and trimmers. so far the best have been double edged safety razors and Andis or Walsh outliner / detailer style trimmers. i tried this gillette out purely for travel as it’s difficult to fly overseas with DE safety blades. anyway cue my shock when it turns out this gave perhaps the best shave of my life. pretty darn close without being too close for ingrowns. zero irritation! no stinging when washing off shaving cream. no cuts or nicks which was super common for me when using single blade Bic “sensitive” razors. plus each blade has a slippery gel bar on it that helps tremendously. the third blade on the side helps with around the ears. this also worked really well for some “manhood” grooming… if you know what i mean lol. anyways if my experience sounds like yours, you gotta try it. the only downside for me is the refill price is high. just know that it might be worth it. ultimately this goes to show what a big company’s R&D department can pull off.

Fairly Good Option for Those Who Don't Wet Shave Often
This is a good razor for those who find it hard to NOT cut yourself whilst shaving. I will say, this is not a body hair shaver, your best bet for body hair is cutting it (when it's long) with the trimming blade. Don't go too wild, it's just that: trimming. Now, as for how it shaves, it is actually fairly decent. Glide: As far as how it glides across the shaving area, it depends on a couple of things. How much shaving cream is there on the area? When did you last shave? Which areas is it in, any problematic areas for you to shave? I find it hard to wet shave a lot of my face without some discomfort, but in areas where it's not as problematic, it glides fairly well. Shave Closeness: Since it has two blades, it, of course, is not as deep as 5, 4, or even 3-blade razors. That being said, I would say it is a decently deep shave if you go over the same area a few times. Just take a couple fingers and run them across areas you've gone over to check, against the grain, if the hair is still there. After one day(at least for my hair growth), you get the hint of scratchiness, and I usually like to shave with it every other day. Discomfort: I would say the discomfort of shaving with this is just shaving. I've been using electrics for 90% of shaves after puberty, so I am fairly inexperienced. Thusly, this is the perfect razor for me. I had always thought that normal """safety""" razors would actually be a good razor if it was like a Norelco, which has it's blades behind about 0.5 mm steel with slits for the hairs. This is the best I've seen for something like that in safety razors. The discomfort I have is at its height when I haven't shaved a couple days. Anything else I missed is probably in the other reviews. You CAN cut yourself with this razor, but it reduces the chance of it.

Greatest invention since the wheel
I was soooooo sick if all these annoying razor bumps and burns and ingrowns id get from other razors, not only that but it never even felt like a smooth shave. Finally decided for the sake of my poor skins face I should give this razor a try especially since its the first that came up when describing my situation. And my god its beautiful, shaves as smooth as butter, and its so clean. No knicks so far just a wonderful shavings experience. Irritation has reduced, ect. I couldn’t recommend this more and the price is quite reasonable for this quality.

Life changing, no more ingrown hairs, comfortable and not painful
I can't believe I am 51 years old and took that long to question my life choices in shavers. Previously I hung onto using more and more blades. I would buy the three and four blade versions of shavers. I would use them and no matter what I tried, I always end up with ingrown hairs. One day on a whim, I saw these. I can tell you they make logical sense. They are smooth to shave with. The shave is easy on your skin and not harsh. You do have a bit more of a 5 oclock shadow, but they don't leave as many (if any) ingrown hairs. This is a miracle of science! One more thing that these do is they have a single blade at the top for close up or edge trimming. I am surprised they don't advertise this more, but it really works wonders. I don't need multiple shavers to do around my beard or sideburns, this one does it all. These are highly recommended from someone who has suffered (unwittingly) all these years. Try them out. Life changing.

Gentle and close shave
My story is like hundreds of other reviews: I’ve tried everything - soaps, moisturizers, gels, creams, blades, trimmers, etc. - but my throat and throat back of my neck always break out after face and head shaving. I’m 46 years old and this has been an issue since I was old enough to shave. The only effective solution I have found for my throat is to trim it down to the lowest stubble possible (0.4mm on my Philips Norelco Prestige Beard Trimmer), but that still leaves me wishing for a closer shave (I typically sport a beard or goatee). For the last 10+ years I have been using the Schick Hydro Sensitive on my head and a variety of other solutions on my throat (Norelco rotary shaver, Philips OneBlade), but continue to suffer from bumps and acne. If I let the hair grow out, the bumps go away, but if I grow too long, I get itchy and break out again. So, this Skin Guard blade was basically my last attempt before giving up and just keeping very short stubble on my face (and likely switching to a head shaver that won’t cut close enough but will do the trick). I used it on my head in the same way I normally do - with Edge Sensitive shave gel - first with the grain, then against. Surprisingly, it shaved just as close as the Shock, and I definitely felt like it was a lot easier on my skin. No cuts and no blood. Unfortunately, I can’t tell if the bumps I already had there were just made worse by shaving in general or if they were just still irritated from my last shave four days ago. I also shaved my throat (mostly with the grain) and cheeks (with and against) and used the blade edge trimmer (which was very effective and sharp). In the end, I agree that this is a gentler and close shave. But, whether or not it will completely eliminate razor bumps and acne for me remains to be determined.
