Seriously? I'm Obsessed with a Curling Wand Now?!
Okay look, confession time from a total hair styling klutz. Curling wands and me? Oil and water. Always seemed like way more effort than it was worth and the one time I tried a friend's let's just say smoke was involved. And a weird smell. And curls that resembled ramen noodles. Tragic. So when my friend raved about this Remington Pearl thing and I got desperate for easier waves (because let's be real who has salon time?) I caved fully expecting the usual disaster. But… nope. Total shocker. Box was basic yeah. But the wand itself? Okay the pink accents are actually kinda fun. Not my usual vibe but hey it works. Heated up stupid fast – blinked and bam ready to go. Five tips still look ridiculous overkill but whatever. Conical shape though? That looked promising. Still skeptical mostly but… intrigued maybe? Using it? Seriously smooth glide. Barrel just whoosh – hair wraps easy. Heat? Totally even felt it instantly. And then – waves. Legit soft waves you know? Like actually soft and they moved right. Waves that felt like silk even. Huh. And get this – my waves actually lasted two days with just dry shampoo! Totally unexpected for my usually limp hair. Ten heat settings – messed around dialed it in quick. Usability "Heads-Up": Okay clipless thing? Still takes practice hands down. Seriously expect a couple of slightly awkward attempts before you get the hang of it. Heat glove is non-negotiable unless you're into finger-burning. And yeah waves are the game here – don't expect tight ringlets ain't gonna happen. Plus pro-tip: watch that tip – it gets HOT hot. Almost singed my forehead spacing out for a sec there. So usability-wise? Not totally idiot-proof. Bottom line? Color me beyond surprised. This Remington wand… it actually works. Like amazingly works for waves. Compared to every other curling iron or wand disaster I've tried this thing is in a different league. Still not totally sold on curling wands in general but… this one? Yeah I'm keeping it. And using it. Maybe even… recommending it? Whoa. For usability design wave quality and overall value this wand seriously delivers. Okay four and a half stars. And seriously if I – the girl who can barely braid – can get waves with this thing you know it's gotta be easy. Mind blown slightly. P.S. Just cancelled my salon appointment. Seriously.

Great wand -- Highly recommended
About me: Long hair down to my lower back, cut in layers. My hair is very fine and straight. It has been bleached and color treated which has made it a difficult to hold curls. This is my first curling wand and I really love it. I have always used the curling iron with the clip, but once you practice a few times with this one it really is easy and fast. I would recommend watching a few YouTube demos so you can really get an idea of how to use it and all the specifications before you buy it. The wand heats up fast and stays hot. (BE VERY CAREFUL! I burned myself twice) There are temperature up and down buttons so you can adjust it to your liking. But I find that the hotter it is, the more defined the curls, the faster it curls and the shinier my hair looks. This wand does not dry out your hair! It gives you nice glossy bouncy curls without having to use a ton of products. With other curling methods I would have to use a lot of hairspray to keep my curls. I purchased the 1” – 1 ½” wand. I would recommend this wand if you have longer hair and you want beachy curls/ waves or just to add some body to your hair. If you want tighter/ more defined curls I would recommend the smaller wand. There is a small stand at the bottom of the wand that allows it to sit on any surface without burning or sliding away. But the stand is small enough that it doesn’t get in your way like on some other models. There is a rubber stopper at the end of the wand that prevents your hair from sliding off (this has been a problem with other wands that I’ve used) and it also gives me a place to rest my fingers while I’m holding the tip of my hair. But be careful because if the iron has been on for a while this part can get pretty hot too. The only negative is that (and I don’t know if this is a problem for everyone or just me) the on/off button only works to turn the device on and not off. To actually take it off I have to unplug it. I don’t know, but for right now it isn’t a big deal.

Decent curling want for a beginner
This was my first experience with a curling wand. I originally wanted to try this out because I had my hair done a few times recently where the stylist used a wand instead of a curling iron and it seemed to give me better looking waves or curls depending on the look I was going for that event. At first I was extremely frustrated because none of my curls turned out right or half of the hair would be curled with the other half wavey to straight. However, that is not the wands fault, but the inexperienced user's fault. If this is your first time using one of these devices please, please, please go to youtube and watch some videos on how to properly handle a curling wand. Then practice, practice, practice before you actually need to have your hair curled for some reason. It takes a good bit of coordination to hold the wand right, wrap the hair to the right tightness for the curl you want, slid the hair out, all without burning yourself. If you don't realize it yet, you have to hold your own hair, there is no clamp like a curing iron or some wands that have a clip to hold just the end. Aside from that I'll talk about the item itself: The curling wand is pretty light weight and nothing was defective about it when I recieved it. The ability to dial in a temperature is very nice since different hair textures often need a different amount of heat. The wand got hot pretty fast, but it wasn't obvious to me exactly when it was at temperature. It has a nice long cord and the part that connects to the wand itself moves so you shouldn't get tangled. I removed a star because once I figured out how to handle the wand, I still had issues where my fingers would mess with the buttons because of where they are on the handle. I'm not sure how this could be improved, but I found myself turning it off or changing the temperature without realizing it. There are little feet for it to sit on without burning the surface beneath or rolling around, but I found that it was very peculiar in how I had to set it down for it to not just roll over or for weight of the cord to pull it around so the feet weren't all that helpful. The heating element is tapered so the end closer to the handle is larger in diameter than the end, which is nice since it give versatility in the diameter of the curls and assists in those curls that are looser near the root and tighter by the end of the hair. The included "heat resistant" glove. I'm unsure if the included glove is really heat resistant of basically just a cheap knit glove to have some kind of barrier for your hand. I know I watched the people on youtube using this wand without a glove, which I tried, but wouldn't recommend for a beginner until you know where to put your fingers or you will burn yourself. I have really small hands so the glove was way too big which caused some fumbling, but eventually I made it work. Despite the glove, my fingers still got pretty hot sitting next to the wand and luckily I was doing loose curls that didn't need a lot of heat. I felt more like the glove just stopped me from actually touching the heating element rather than actually prevent heat from reaching my hand. I don't curl my hair often, so I won't be investing in a better glove since I can make this work for my own purposes, but if you plan to use this often and are worried about burning your finger tips not using a glove, then you might want to find a better one. Overall, I do really enjoy curling my hair with this wand now that I have watched videos and practiced. I like that there is a lot of versatility in the kinds of waves and curls I can get.

LOVE IT!! So glad I bought THIS one! True HONEST review!!!!!!
Ok, I watch many YouTube beauty/hair gurus & they all have different hair tools of choice. Usually very expensive ones ( often given FREE for a "review" of the product!) . Well, I got new 22inch Remy hair extensions & wanted a curling iron or wand to make the "curls, waves, etc everyone is doing now. I looked at a lot of them. Many way more expensive then this one, but this had great reviews. I received it the other day & tried it out- HOLY MOTHER OF $&&$)!!! It gets HOT!!!! It goes up to 410 deg, other go to 450, I can't see WHY anyone would need more heat than THIS??!! I burnt the cr&p out of my finger ( not thinking that "I" needed the GLOVE!) , so it's really HOT!! It took seconds to make a nice curl in my super long hair. The curls STAYED IN THE NEXT DAY AS WELL, even after sleeping on them!! Heats up in a second too! I really can't see how the more expensive wands etc could be any better than THIS ONE! Your paying for the "name" & THIER advertising expense ! This is wonderful!! Digital button controls, which I had NO problems with touching or hitting them & changing it or turning it of( u know?) . The SWIVEL CORD is amazing!! I will never buy another hair tool without one now!! It also cooled off pretty fast as well, which is a good thing if your in a rush & don't have one of those fancy curling iron /blow dryer holders & I DON'T, lol. I'm super pleased with this, would recommend to anyone looking for a wand! I like the fact it doesn't have a "clamp" , very easy to use & the curls are fabulousness ( and no kink at the end from the clamp!) I might use the GLOVE , to save my flesh but its not totally necessary , Just for shorter pieces really. I write reviews for CUSTOMERS, not the "company"!! With so many bogus, fake reviews now on here, I feel we "true consumers" owe it to ppl to write HONEST reviews!! I REALLY love this & wouldn't recommend it if I didn't... I use my REAL name etc. hope this help someone save some $$. & choose a good product.. Will update if I have any problems with it... Jenn~

If you have dead straight hair like me... this will work
Great! It took a few times for me to get use to a "wand" and I prefer the wand after switching back to wand from a regular curling iron. My hair: I have very straight hair. My hair is fine and long. I do not have thick hair. It usually takes a lot of hair spray and mouse to put my hair into a bun that can stay for more than 5 minutes (only fine straight hair people know what I mean). When it’s humid out it my hair will not “explode” but drop into dead weight and turn super super straight. And my curls usually don’t stay when there’s humidity. That’s how straight my hair is. Prep: I don’t want to take too long to get ready in the morning, and this is great because it takes minutes to get the wand heat up. By the time I sprayed heat protector evenly to my hair, the wand is ready. If you are impatient like me, this is great because it usually take me less than 10 minutes to do my whole head. How I do it: I usually divide my hair into 12 sections. First I do Bottom half first. 3 sections each side. If you don't want you hair to look like you curled it, don't curl your hair in one direction only. I usually curl away from face, then curl towards, and out. etc... Same as the top half of my hair. 3 sections each side starting from the back. I also tried using a light weight hair spray after curl but did not like how it turned out. The outcome was not natural for me. I find TRESemme thermal protector works best when curling my hair. It’s really light weight and smells pleasant. I don't use the heating glove because I don't like how i can't feel the hair I'm holding. (i don't suggest it unless you are accustom to doing it because the end of the hair can be extremely hot!) Each section of hair I hold gets 30 count (faster than counting the second). I tried 20 and my hair just does not stay curly/wavy the whole day. My only complaint about this is that my hair smells... smells like I just freshly curling ironed it.... and that's the whole day. Other than that, I love this.

Holy grail curling wand
This is the ONLY curling wand I have used since I was in college. I think I purchased my first one in 2013, about 13 years ago. Since then, I have used nothing else to curl my hair. And in that time, I’ve only had to replace it twice. This product is amazing and such a steal for what you pay. I’ve never had any heat damage, and my curls consistently turn out perfect. Anytime anyone asks me how I do my hair, I send them the link for this curling wand. I’ve had my current one since 2022 with no issues. I will continue purchasing this as long as they continue to make it. It’s so easy to use, and they even include a little glove so you don’t burn yourself. If you want healthy, beautiful curls for a reasonable price- buy this wand!!

Decent for the price
Let me preface this with saying that I really don't normally curl my hair. I have in the past, but it's not my go-to style and I only have a 1" Conair wand to compare this one too, so I can't really speak to how this holds up against other wider barrel wands or fancier wands. For the price, I'd say this is a decent choice. It gets HOT (the default setting is more than hot enough to curl my straight hair), heats up fast and creates loose curls in a matter of seconds. It's easy to use, it's cute and it's good for more casual hairstyles. There are a few things that aren't great, but again, you can't really expect a $25 curling wand to knock it out of the park. Side note: Not sure how many of these issues are because of the wand and how many are because of the styling products I use, but I tend to buy higher end serums so I think it's more likely to be the want. The beautiful loose curls (beach wave-like) you get at first only last a few hours at most - my hair doesn't go completely flat, but by the end of the day I have really gentle waves that look decent enough that I don't feel ashamed at work, but definitely don't look styled (and I use strong hold hairspray!). Also, my hair frizzes up fast - it usually takes a few hours for the frizziness to hit (around when the curls fall out), so that could be my hair/other products rather than the wand. Overall, I'd say that I'm glad I got this - it's a good "entry level" wand for curling novices like myself. If you're looking to upgrade your current wand, I'd probably get something a bit higher end.

Five Stars
I get seriously great curls with this wand. They still look awesome even after being pulled back in a pony tail during a three mile bike ride in 110* heat. I just take the pony tail down when I get to work each day and finger comb out the curls or use a large toothed comb. I've read other reviewers who say this product is dangerous and they've gotten burned and it's too hot for hair and all manners of other complaints, but I have not had any bad experiences with this product at all and I was a 100% beginner when i received this product. I suggest watching a couple of vids about using wands so that you can get a good understanding of how to do it. It's very similar to using a curling iron, but the main difference is that you wrap your hair around the wand, rather than using the wand to wrap your hair with. I do one side of my head at a time and pull the other into a hair tie to keep it out of the way. I do use the hottest setting most of the time because of my bike commute to work, but if I'm doing my hair other wise, I use the lowest setting. Working in 1/2 inch to 1 inch sections on the right side of my head, I hold the wand in my left hand and brace my wrist against my head somewhere so mhy hand does not move and the tip of the wand is pointing somewhere towards the floor. I have the glove on my right hand and with the hair in my fingers, I wrap it around the wand from the handle to the point. I leave it about three to five seconds and let go. If the heat is too intense on the gloved hand, you can use the tip of your finger to twirl it around the barrel so it does not stay in one spot to heat up. I do not use product to help the curl set, not even hair spray after I'm finished, I just let the curls fall out naturally throughout the day. After 12 to 16 hour days my hair still looks great and has amazing body. Love love love this product!

Worth Every Penny!! (Even though we don't actually use those anymore)
Oh My Goodness! I'm in love! I have naturally thick, curly and crazy hair and wanted a curling iron that would #1 work, #2 be efficient, and #3 be easy to use! I did my research and found this one, and it did not disappoint! My curls feel soft and natural (Not dry like when using some irons), it heated super quick and its actually kind of cute (I was worried about it being pink because thats not really my thing, but its more of a soft mauve-pink). I feel it gives you a lot of control and options for how you want your curls to look. The only thing I would suggest is when using the wand to hold it closer to the base of the handle. This baby gets really, really hot and just placing my index finger over the hole with the screw on the back of the handle near the barrel had enough heat to give me a little burn. Nothing terrible, but just good to be aware of. As usual, amazon shipped the product in record timing! = One happy online shopper :D
