What’s the height from the floor to the underside of the bed? I.e how high up from the ground...

Hello, From the floor to the frame of the bed is around 20cm.

Is there a gap at the pillow end/ will the pillows fall down the gap ?

There is a gap but you have a strap that you put over the pillows and there's one near the bottom .I always pull the pillows up and put them long ways.

When erecting this walk bed, is glue needed at all? Or is it just screws

It is just screwwed and bolted together - it is very heavy when complete and needs at least 2 people to assemble. Watch out that you have the pieces the right way round as the instruction's pictures change direction and can be confusing.

Please recommend a matress for this bed?

Hello, The mattress should be 140cmx200cm and the most important thing is that tt can not be more than 18cm thick otherwise you will not be able to close the bed properly.
