These journals are perfect for me. I use fountain pens, and I don’t get any bleed-through at all with the 120 gsm weight of the paper. It doesn’t bother me that there’s no pen holder; I just slip my pen under the elastic band at the top of the journal (see photo). I also like the pretty colors and the writing space between lines (which is slightly narrower than in many journals). The jury is still out on the binding. I haven’t had any problems, but I’m always cautious when flattening the book to write in it. I’ve lost pages or sections from lesser quality journals, and I don’t want that to happen with these. So far, so good!

As someone who has used and loved Moleskine for years, I won’t say these compare in terms of material quality. However, I found that for every day needs I didn’t need to use a Moleskine. That being said, these notebooks are very high quality for their price. They are definitely worth stacking up on your shelf for your daily needs, and you don’t feel the pressure of needing something “worthy” of writing like you do a Moleskine or equivalent. There is no ink bleeding, though it’s hard to attribute that to the paper or the pen. They really do lay flat, no break in period required and surprisingly no spinal creasing. The other thing I like is that the cover grips your writing surface, almost like a soft rubber instead of a smooth leather that slides while you’re writing. If that was intentional then it’s a smart choice by the manufacturer. We will see what 10-20 years does to them when they are filled and shelved, but I bet they will hold up just fine. Save yourself some money and buy these, you won’t be disappointed.

I rarely write reviews that don't contain some mention of a product's flaws. This is one of those rare ones. These books are very comfortable to hold and use. They "feel good" - seriously - and I've never written that in a review before. They're well constructed. Almost no damage after being dropped a couple of dozen times on a hardwood floor - only one corner looks very slightly dented. Surprisingly good quality paper that's a pleasure to write on. Nice touches like a ribbon bookmark, sewn spine, and a pocket on the inner back cover are icing on the cake. On top of all that, they're very well priced. I wholeheartedly recommend them, and you'll be glad to have purchased them should you do to. I am, and will be buying more. If you know someone who journals or is always taking notes, they'll love these.

Mixed opinion. For the price - wow. For use with fountain pens - double wow. Very thick yet smooth paper. The line space seems cramped, even for college rule. The construction feels a bit "off." It takes effort to make it lay flat. If I buy again it would have to be dots, grid, or blank. Highlight - stands up to fountain pens VERY well. Great paper.

Great to give out as gifts to friends and family.

I picked some journals up at Walmart, but was disappointed in the price and the quality. Buying some on line just seemed risky! It's hard to tell quality in a picture and I didn't want the hassel of return. But I felt so unsatisfied with my Walmart find that I checked Amazon for something else. That is when I found these gems. For $3 less, I got 5 journals, instead of 4. Everything about them was better!!! Cover material, paper thickness, quality/consistency of the lines, pocket on the back cover, elastic strap for closing, the ability to lay flat when open. EVERYTHING. I absolutely love these! I'm leading a Bible study for women and I gave one to each of them for our weekly Scripture journals. They all love the journals too! It's not just me. Amazing product, amazing price. I HIGHLY recommend them (and I am a very picky person).

Great pack of budget notebooks. Well packed and each one is individually wrapped. I have only opened one so far, but the others seem to be in good shape. Cover seems sturdy and has a nice pebbled texture. Elastic closure is nothing exciting, but does the job. Pen loop is convenient and seems glued in well. Simple pocket I. The inner back cover pocket has a basic card stock but seems to be glued in evenly. I tested it out with a juicy Lamy 2000 F inked up with Diamine ancient copper. No feathering or bleed through. Only a small amount of ghosting (could wrote on the back if I wanted) and a nice feel while writing. Really great find for a rabid fountain pen user!

I wanted to try these journals because my miquelrius journals contain too much information to risk losing in the field. I REALLY like the thicker 120 gsm paper in the Huhuhero journals. When scanning field notes written in black ink, I see next to no bleed-through. As I use these when performing field inspections at construction sites, the only suggestion that I have is to make a brighter cover color (high-visibility yellow, orange, red, etc.). The black looks professional in the office but, when I put my journal down on field site, I need to find it again in a hurry.

This is the best journal you can buy. But the delivery time for me is almost a month.
