Following a three year hiatus from the music industry, MARINA will release her highly anticipated album ‘LOVE + FEAR’ on 26th April across all platforms. MARINA used her break as a period of reflection and to rediscover her authentic self, as opposed to the artist and persona (‘and the Diamonds’) she had lived and breathed since signing her record deal at the age of 22. MARINA says of the album ‘‘LOVE is filled with a longing to enjoy life and a desire for unity. FEAR explores subjects that have been a lot harder for me to work through and understand, such as purpose insecurity in love, and major shifts in our social conscience regarding the systematic misogyny and sexual abuse employed by powerful figures in the media. A companion to LOVE, these ideas cross to showcase and explore the polarising sides of human nature’’. Review: Back to save the music industry - Firstly, I cannot write a review of this album without complementing the artwork and packaging of the vinyl edition. It's beautiful and any serious music collector or Marina fan should buy it. Secondly, and most importantly, the music. Love + Fear showcases Marina's maturation as a singer/songwriter, from the early days of "OMG you look just like Shakira" to the excellent tongue-in-cheek "OMG I think it's Karma," without losing her signature 'Marina-isms" that helped make her stand out in the first place. Love + Fear is both introspective and very universal, as Marina searches within herself to reevaluate what her music means to her and then produces an album that's very outward-looking, as she tackles climate-change, politics, social media, loneliness to name but a few. It all very feels very grown-up and mature, which is also respectful of her maturing fans. Thirdly, and lastly, the album is packed with pop-bangers, from "Baby" to "Enjoy your Life" and "True." I also love the summery vibes of "Orange Trees," "Baby" and "Karma." There are more melancholic and reflective moments, like "Soft to be Strong" and "To be Human," the latter arguably the best song on the album. Marina uses pop as an extremely powerful tool, tackling important issues while delivering listenable and very danceable tracks. This album proves she truly is a pop revolution. Review: Different, but equally as a good as previous albums. - I discovered Marina (& The Diamonds) when she released "Electra Heart" way back and it became one of my all time fav albums. Her voice, the lyrics, the production, I was blown away and was basically my soundtrack for 2012/2013. When she released "FROOT", in 2015, I honestly didn't know what to think. The production was different, but it still felt like a Marina album. After multiple listens, I can honestly say that album topped "Electra Heart" over time. I was very interested where she would go after FROOT, and it turns out, she didn't go anywhere for a while. She decided she wanted to explore life and wasn't even sure she wanted to continue music, something I can respect. When the first "teaser" single "Baby (with clean bandit)" was released, I wasn't sure what the exact direction for this album was going to be. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, she released the first 8 tracks as the first half of the album. I was blown away, and the other 8 tracks don't dissapoint either. If you're a fan of her previous three albums, DEFINITELY buy this one. My top 5 tracks from the album. 1) Enjoy Your Life 2) Orange Trees 3) Believe In Love 4) Baby 5) Karma / Superstar (cheated a little there lol)

An Outstandingly Good Album
Marina Diamandis is an outstandingly talented artist who seems incapable of writing a poor song. Add to this the increasingly clever production of her music and the result is another wonderful album and her best to date. Marina really is getting better and better. Her seemingly simple lyrics - she is a real poet - connect with people as she is sharing her innermost feelings. There is real beauty in her words and music which reflect this beautiful person. They resonate with those of us who find, in her art, expressions of feelings we may not ourselves be able to put into words and music. Thank you, Marina, for another collection of fabulous, connected songs. Keep progressing!

Her most accomplished album
She has matured so much from her days of 'Electra Heart' (Hence the name change, dropping 'and the diamonds') and this album feels fresh and new from her previous three. All 16 tracks on this (double) album are amazing. The standouts of 'LOVE' for me are 'Handmade Heaven' and 'To be human' the latter she said was the base point for the album. My favourites of 'FEAR' are 'Believe in love' and 'Life is strange' Overall this is another beautiful masterpiece from Marina and if you liked any of her previous work you will definitely like this!

Marina redefined
This is Marina without her diamonds for the first time. The album is more mature sound-wise and more sensitive compared to her previous ones. You can really get a true sense of who she is as an artist and as a person. I believe that this is her best work yet and deserved more recognition that the one it got. Same goes for Marina herself. Her talent is incomparable.

This is the first album I've bought featuring this artist, but I love every song, great music, vocals, and lyrics that get you thinking and tell a story.

Selbstliebe (Handmade Heaven, Enjoy your life), die Liebe zur Heimat (Orange Trees) oder altruistische Liebe (To be human). Dabei sind "Handmade Heaven" und for allem "To be human" Marina's neue Juwelen.

Forgot to leave a review after getting the album a few weeks back. I’m making this one now after getting a second email asking about the product. It came in great condition and everything works and sounds good! Amazing album and much love to you Marina!
