Crisis, After 7 years, her old catflap stopped working. (I knew something wasn't right for months and chose to ignore it) So emergency order put in for this flap. It arrived a few hours later, and I was able to quickly remove the old one and get this installed. The old flap was an older version of the same catflap, just without the connect functionality. Swapping out the catflap couldn't have been much easier, remove a couple of covers, remove the screws, then put the new one in place and do up the screws. Add batteries, press the button to add my cat to the flap and hey presto, it's up, running and configured. She's once again happy, and able to come and go as she pleases, and I'm happy that it's going to stay secure when she's not activating it. Combining this with a set of good quality lithium AA rechargeable batteries and this should serve our needs for the next 7 years, hopefully longer. The addition of the connect functionality looks like a fascinating upgrade, I like that the footprint of the flap has not changed from the older models, so it did not require any further modifications to my door. It's also great that my cat also now has a brand new crystal clear door to look out of before we goes through. The old one, showed signs of wear, but hey it was 7 years old. I feel that whilst the cat flap isn't the cheapest, the quality more than makes up for it, with the promise of 7 years expected life, it will pay for itself in the peace of mind that I have knowing that my cat has her own personal entrance, that cannot be used by anything else.

Brilliant cat flap, an investment. I use it in conjunction with the sure cat portal and it’s excellent. Sturdy when in and easy to activate.

I read a lot of reviews and there was one that stated that you need to buy the hub for this cat flap to work. You absolutely DO NOT need to buy the hub. I did, and it turned out to be unnecessary. The cat flap will work without it. You can set which pets, by microchip, are allowed through with or without the hub. The hub is just glitter. Good cat flap, though. Does what I needed it to do. I have three cats and one is not allowed out. This flap lets my other two free roam whilst keeping my house cat in. Just don't be fooled into buying the hub, you don't need it.

This initially lasted around 5 years before requiring replacement. Other than that, with good quality batteries it lasts a few months at a time. Works flawlessly and only lets in / out our cats. Need to keep it clean to be working well, but noting out of the ordinary or overboard. Easy to pair cats and to the hub. Connects well with the app. Good support from manufacturer if needed

Forces you to submit a questionnaire about each of your cats before the app will work. The info is irrelevant to the function of the product and none of their business. Making it mandatory is particularly irritating and tedious. To top it all you can’t set curfews on a per cat basis. Sent back. Afternoon wasted and pretty cheesed off.

We have 3 cats and wouldn't be without this now. The cats like it as well as they know other cats cant visit so they don't get stressed. One of my cats would spray when we got unwanted visits from our cat neighbours, so once this was installed, the spraying stopped. Its very easy to put in and set up. Also we have just moved house and I thought I would have to go through the set up process again as it had been switched off and new Internet but honestly couldn't have been easier.through the app. Was literally done in 5 minutes.

This is a very good catflap but there is a but. I found our ancient, deaf cat outside and wondered how she’d got out as I had programmed the catflap to not allow her to go out. Turned out another cat had gone out and the flap hadn’t closed fully … elderly cat couldn’t believe her luck. I looked at the sensors on the top of the tunnel from the outside and there was a small amount of fur which I removed. I think that was the problem. Moral of story - you have to keep the sensors clean!

Really well made, very intuitive, and can integrate into Home Assistant (through the cloud). Quiet during operation, cats find it easy to use, and keeps out unwelcome visitors. Had to replace a couple now (they've done 5 years of hard service) and found the warranty services to be very good!

At first it wasn't working very reliably on my metal door, I went back and made the opening an extra 1/2" larger, leaving just two metal tabs of the door to anchor the trim. I only did this on the outside/exit side of the door, didnt touch the inside and its touching the frame of the sureflap and it works 100% of the time. Try this before dropping another $20 on the metal door frame, I really only think you need that for glass. Didnt cut any extra of the foam core of the door either so it stayed snug, used expanding foam insulation spray before putting the trim on. Make sure you use the expanding foam for vinyl windows, the regular foam will put pressure on the sureflap as it dries and could cause the flap to not flap because its being squeezed. That regular construction foam will bend window and door frames as it dries and your door wont close. At first we used some tape to hold the flap open so they would just use the hole for a while and the sure flap would click and they would freak out at first. Then we let the door down and used some tape stuck to the door so when they would walk up we would lift the door from the inside and then let it down on them so they could get used to it on their back as they slid through. Really only did that for one cat, the other just started following the first one. Watching them go through from the back is amusing, the fat cat looks like a seal with its legs both sticking straight out as she pulls herself through with her front paws. I was very surprised how fast they got used to it. Good deal and very functional, cant believe how well the chip reader works. Were still on first set of batteries, with two cats using the door 20+ times a day after 3 months.

Fungerar klanderfritt Dock bör man nog undvika att förlänga tunneln, verkar som att katterna är misstänksamma när den blir för lång, i mitt fall 40cm genom väggen, och undviker att gå in.

j'ai acheté une première chatière en 2019. J'étais très satisfaite de son mode de fonctionnement et ses possibilités diverses selon les situations de ma chatte Rouxstick. L'application connectée est facile à comprendre et je sais toujours si Rouxstick est à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur ce qui est très pratique quand je dois partir et mettre l'alarme de la maison. ATTENTION quand vous nettoyez la chatière ne laisser couler aucune goutte d'eau sur le système électrique/pile car c'est ainsi que le système de connectivité était défectueux en mai 2021et irréparable. C'est pourquoi, je n'ai pas hésiter de racheter la même chatière que j'ai su reconnecter avec l'application existante sur mon portable. JUSTE ATTENTION QUAND VOUS LA NETTOYER.
