Honey-Can-Do 5-Tier White Wire Shelving Unit, 200 lb/Shelf, 36x14x72 in

I have several of these 3 tier shelving units. Honey Can Do units are strong and reliable. This particular size even fits inside of closets for clothing, toys, shoes, etc. They are metal. They are very easy to put together and very sturdy. They are also easy to move around your house as needs change. These make your organizing easy peasy.

This was the EASIEST shelf system to put together I have ever purchased. The directions were a little odd, very few words and pictures that were no help, but the part labels were clear enough and that was all I needed. I find it amusing that so many others who purchased this say they needed a mallet to put this together. I needed nothing at all, and it's all due to the genius design of the shelf parts. The kit comes with 4 short poles and 4 long ones that attach with a coupler bushing that screws in to one end of both, they just twist together with your hands. The feet also just twist in, so that all that is left is attaching them to the shelves. There's a bag of these shelf support clips - this is what is brilliant. The way the clip together, around the legs of the shelving, if you look very closely at them one end is slightly wider than the other once they are snapped together, and this is by design. You can easily measure the distance on each leg because there are indented markings that you can count, and they're all exactly in the same place. You snap a shelf support clip in to place on the desired spot, making sure that the narrower part of the clip is pointed toward the top. Once all 4 clips are in place for the first shelf (always do the bottom one first!!) then you just slide the shelf down on to the clip, and the shelf is snug! Once I got the first shelf in place at the desired height from the ground that I wanted, I set the frame upright so that the empty poles were pointing up. Then I just snapped 4 more clips on at the spot I wanted my next shelf, slid the shelf down onto to the clip, pushing the shelf holder down over that narrowest part of the clip and once it reached the widest part, it is forced to stop in place. I repeated the next two shelves the same way. These shelves don't bow in the middle like plastic shelving does. I got this to store all my paint supplies, leaving the bottom shelf just high enough to store a set of gallon cans below it. Once I figured out the design of those clips, my job was easy. No place in the instructions is it discussed about the clip design (there are no actual words other than the names of the parts) - so it took me a few minutes to notice how, when the clips are snapped together, one end is slightly wider than the other. The ease and sturdiness of these shelves is fabulous. I am a 59 year old woman and was able to put this kit together in about a half an hour, and part of that time was deciphering the funky instructions! I am impressed. I love these, perfect size and height for what I needed. I purchased the 4-Tier Shelving Unit: 250 lbs per shelf with intentions of storing all my gallons of paint, plus my miter saw which will go on the second shelf from the bottom. Yes, I have my own miter saw.

This is an excellent product, and I really like it. I needed a rolling rack/cart to hold my tool boxes. I assembled the shelves to hold my stuff the way I wanted. Then, to make it roll, I removed the sliders that come with the product, and replaced them with 1-inch casters (6mm/0.25inch threaded stems). Works great. (See photo.) 1. It was easy to assemble. No tools required. It takes a little bit of trial-and-error practice using the black (cylindrical) shelf lock clips, but you can deploy then disassemble multiple times without damaging anything. 2. It is strong. 2a. To get the rack to sink onto the lock clips, I (160 lbs) stood on the rack. 2b. My 70lbs of tool boxes sit fine on the shelves. I stood on the shelves with the tools on there (added my weight) and it was fine. 2c. Notice in my assembly, the bars are free at the top (not anchored in a shelf corner), but they are sturdy enough that when I pull on them (to move the rolling cart) they don't bend/flex. 3. It is attractive. The chrome looks great. I am thinking of adding a stainless steel handle to pull/maneuver the cart around my workshop. Great purchase. Would buy it again!

This shelf is pretty standard for those adjustable wire shelves out there. My only comment is that this is NOT considered "heavy duty"compared to some of the truly heavy duty ones out there from Uline that they use in commercial places. It's not even mid-level duty that you can get for some heavier residential needs. This is definitely light duty. Im not sure if the 250 lbs they claim the shelf can hold is for the entire shelf or for each shelf, but either way I'm skeptical. The shelf is so soft that I was concerned about using my mallet to tap/lock it into place when I was assembling! This might be good for some books or toys l1 However, that being said, I was not disappointed. This is what I was expecting from Honey-Can-Do brand and it works perfectly for my needs! I built a stuffed animal zoo with bungee cords for my daughter's room and it works great! Very stable despite being so tall and standing on carpet! My only difficulty was that the bungee cords, which weren't even pulled tightly, kept pulling the bottom shelf loose and up! I had to set weights on the bottom shelf to keep it in place. This is probably related to it being light duty - although, in all fairness, I've never tried to attach bungee cords to the heavy duty shelves to see if it holds any better.

I always buy Honey Can Do products, they are the best solution for sturdy storage. I’ve never been disappointed in how easy they are to put together, and take apart when I want to rearrange the height of the shelves, which I do often. I’m always rearranging things. Not only shelving but every Honey Can Do product I’ve bought was of great quality.

Ignore the video giving this shelving unit 1 star. The parts that seem not to fit are shipping spacers used to align the shelves (see picture). The parts that grip the pole are not supposed to fit perfectly together. Pressing down on the shelf causes the plastic pieces to compress, resulting in a firm hold. Without space for compression, the shelf would lack support (see picture). I have multiple shelving units like this one in different sizes, and this one is just as good as any of the others. I like the fact that it comes in white and in the 18x24 size. I was impressed with the shipping materials that protected the parts from damage. It's extremely easy to assemble with no tools required. The instructions are easy to follow, if you even need them, because the bags containing the parts are labeled clearly making building it self-explanatory. Each shelf easily holds 90lb of pet food and the 10lb cat that wants to eat it all! The only room for improvement would be for the shelf brackets/pole grippers to come in white. 10/10 highly recommended.

A real puzzle at first. Assembled twice and it collapsed twice. The problem? The shelves must be "flipped" unlike that shown in the image. Why? The pole openings will fit only one way. The openings are different sizes. The largest openibg must face down to smoothly and completely cover the support clips once mounted. Otherwise, you have to use great force as some have complained about. (Perhaps a helpful hint: with the poles assembled with feet, lay the poles down and line up the grooves. Mark the grooves where you want the shelves positioned. I used small pieces of painters tape. With the bottom clips attached (to do this, press two clips together with the arrows pointing topside. Press the clips on the selected groove and slide about 1/2". The clips will lock into place. Press again to secure. I placed the bottom shelve on the floor with the long EDGE down. Then carefully ran the 4 poles through. With the shelve flipped the clips will easily go into place with maybe slight finger pressure. With the bottom shelf in place, it will be stable enough to stand up and complete). It sounds like a big hassle but the key is the shelf must be "flipped". It took only 25 minutes to assemble once the key issue was identified. It's a great shelf. All small parts were seal bagged and accounted for. No damage to any aspect of the unit was noticed. Very stable and strong for my use. Would buy again when the need arises. By the way, it didn't to me which side of the shelf went up.

I have a number of shelves similar to this one, but a different brand with wheels. The instructions are useless, but we have so many of this type shelf, assembly was a breeze. For each level, you use two clips that have to be in the correct orientation. The clips are marked so you know which end is up. Once you have the bottom shelf in place, count the grooves on the side posts to position the clips for the next shelf. Once you have the clips in place, put the shelf over them and either push down hard or pound the shelf down with a rubber hammer. I grow all of our veggies in our basement and needed a small shelving unit to store my fertilizers and soil additives. I had been keeping them on the floor and this wasn't working well. This shelf is perfect for storage of these items and keeps them off the floor. I am very happy with this shelving unit and would recommend it. I hope this review was helpful for you.

I just love this shelving unit. I also have another Honey-Can-Do Unit with a wooden top shelf and pull handles/cart feature. It's strong and shiny chrome, looking real nice. The one I have, although years old, looks brand new still. I want one more of the same I just received to complete my area. Although it appears to cost a little more than other comparable units, you have to consider the quality of the materials, which are perfect. You get what you pay for. I have to save up for the next one, but it is worth waiting/saving for.

Elegí la estantería cromada con tres anaqueles. Se arma en pocos minutos y posee gran capacidad de almacenamiento. El empaque de cartón venía muy sucio y con la lengüeta semiabierta; lo bueno es que hallé las piezas completas y sin desperfectos de importancia. Exceptuando por estos detalles, el producto cumplió con mis expectativas.

Absolutely suburb I have a metal wardrobe similar to this and ive had that for 15 years so knew what to expect. Easy to put together and can be easily dismantled if I need to.very pleased.
