California Costumes Men's Robin Hood Adult

I'm giving this set five stars even though the material is cheap crappy stuff that has already ripped in one spot, for the money it is still a great value. I partied pretty hard with this on Saturday and ripped one of the boot covers a bit but still using it again tonight. Once Halloween is over I am really not sure if I will keep it or toss it... it looks pretty good and the fitment was fine but how many years will it be before I want to do Robin Hood or Green Arrow again? I don't know. In the packaging everything was wrapped such that the vinyl pieces would not get wrinkled... I doubt I will be able to package it as well myself to survive a couple years or more of storage. I kinda hate to perpetuate the whole throw-away-nation thing but this set is really borderline as to whether you'd really keep it and actually ever use it again. We'll see.

Attractive and appealing costume. I'm 5'11" / 175, and the medium size fits me comfortably. The colors and basic appearance match the photo, and to my eye present a good image of "Robin Hood." The material is lightweight and the construction is cheap, which is no surprise at this price point — e.g., there's no edge stitching on the belt and strap, unlike in the photo, and the warning on the tag ("Do not wash. Do not dry. Do not clean.") tells you all you need to know about long-term durability. Still, it's not going to fall apart on you just putting it on or wearing it for a Halloween weekend. A few caveats: as others have noted, the shoulder strap doesn't actually wrap all the way around your back. It has velcro to hold it to the vest at the shoulder, but you may find yourself wanting to attach an additional length of fabric. The front buckles, unlike in the photo, aren't black on both sides, so the ends that hang loose might interfere with the look unless you color them over. The boot covers aren't scalloped around the edges as shown, and are probably the weakest-looking part; you might want to invest in a pair of actual costume boots instead. All that said, it's still a sharp-looking costume, easy to put on and comfortable to wear. Hard to beat at Amazon's price. Accessorize with a costume bow-and-arrow set, and you're good to go!

This outfit is amazing. I got many compliments on how amazing and authentic it looked. I am 5"8' at about 155lbs. This fit me perfectly. The vest's belts ended up being a bit long after connecting them, so I cut the ends off at an angle. Also, I paired it up with these items as good looking bow and arrow set. I love the look of this costume. The material and stitching isn't the BEST quality but everything is in tact and gets the job done. The boot covers look great when paired with black shoes. The gloves fit and stay on very well. The tunic is a bit big for me. I'm 5'-6" at 170 lbs. and bought a medium. I have to fasten the front buckles to the tightest/first hole but the access straps dangle too much and looks tacky. Also, since this fits somewhat large for a medium, the inner shirt has too much material and bundles up when the belt is wrapped around me. Another thing about the belt, the over the shoulder piece velcros to your shoulder. The BEST thing about this is you can customize it like I have. I've made it into a short sleeve, adjusted and sewn the front belt straps to stay permanently fastened and will not come undone, and ditched the belt it came with and use a real leather belt I got from a renaissance fair. Now I just need to get a decent bandolier.

If you're looking for a quick costume that can be used a few times - this is it. This hood and vest attached shirt has some ups and downs, but overall I enjoyed it (wore to Renaissance festival twice in one season) The good: fits just as described, and comes with a few fun accessories to help fill out the costume. The fabric 'bracers' look great with the costume, and will last quite a while (as will the boot covers, I'd guess at least 5 heavy uses minimum, will update when they go bad) The "Ehh, not bad": The buckles seem to constantly come undone for me, but looping them onto themselves fixes this, while maintaining the look. The ugly: Belt, 'pouch' and over-shoulder belt - I would spend a few dollars getting better quality ones, but for a Halloween party or costume party, it will do. All in all - I got exactly what I paid for, enjoyed it and got a few compliments once I tossed in a little better costume belt.

This plus Rubie's Costume Men's Lord Of The Rings Adult Elven Grey Cloak made for an excellent combo as a halloween costume. I ended up not wearing the pouch because I wore pants with pockets. The buckles gave me a little bit of trouble but after trimming some of the material I found it worked very well. I expected the costume to be a bit loose but it was actually rather snug out of the packaging. However the adjustable shirt straps allowed me to loosen up the chest area (which was a pinch point) and tighten up the belly area (which was loose.) Saw a kid wearing the same costume but without the accouterments I added and it looked pretty cool all by itself. A bow or a sword will pair very nicely. I would also recommend an undershirt if you wear this when it's cold out unless you have a cloak to go with it.

Love how complete this costume is. You need pants and black shoes or boots plus weapon to finish it off. The quality at this pruce is hard to find....a little bit small fit. 6ft 190 Large size belt just fits otherwise costume is great!!
