STANLEY Pliers, Diagonal Cutting, 6-Inch (84-105)

These little pliers are the no frills get the job done tool for wire cutting. I installed a rabbit fence around my raised flower garden last weekend and needed to cut off the last foot of fence since it overlapped and needed to do it with wire cutters due to the strength of the fence. I was able to cut through the wire fence in under 10 minutes and with very good consistency to avoid any sharp edges left. They seem to be well made and durable for all my needs. They should be an essential tool in anyone's tool box for a nice clean cut on any type of typical wire. Overall a great value and very practical tool

At work I am constantly cutting zip ties so I need a good pair of "snips" as we call them. Originally I used 8" snips but I quickly lost those and they also didn't fit well in my tool belt. I went shopping for smaller, cheap alternatives on Amazon and ran across these. After using them for several months, I am quite happy with them. These 6" snips work just as well as my 8" snips did at cutting zip ties, yet they are smaller and inexpensive. If I lose these again (loaning them out and not getting them back, them falling out of my pocket or toolbelt, etc.) then I can place another order here on Amazon and it won't break the bank. There is a slight issue with the black and yellow grips sliding downwards, but this is easily rectified by twisting and sliding them back up. Overall, I am very satisfied with them. This is now my go-to pair of snips. Way cheaper than Kobalt, yet just as effective.

As the title says, these are the cheapest, reliable cutters you will find on Amazon. As an add on, these are a steal. I broke my previous set of cycling cutters and have a pair coming from the UK so I needed a short- term solution. I just installed fresh cables and housing on a bike with these and they work very well. The one complaint I have is that you have choke back on the cutter to use it effectively, which eliminates a bit of the front of the cutter. However, that's to be expected for heavier cuts, given the compact size of these. In short, these are extremely cheap, but reliable and of good quality. They are sufficient for small and medium applications and well made. I'd purchase them again, especially at the add on price.

As with any products made by Stanley tools, this pair of Diagonal Pliers, or dikes, as they are more commonly known as, are excellent quality pliers. I already had a pair that I've had for at least 20 years. But after 20 plus years of stripping wire I felt it was time for a new pair. A lot of companies out there making similar looking pliers, just not similar in quality. Stanley is one name beside Craftsmen that is a trustworthy brand. Getting the right quality is the most important thing in tools. That and price. Stanley keeps there products affordable. If you need a good pair, or need to replace a pair, try these. And BTW, better price here on Amazon than Home Depot too. I checked.

Unlike some other products, these pliers are a great addition to my small collection of hardware. It is easy grip, allows for a solid concise cutting, and is lightweight. It handled my small job along with a couple others seamlessly and will definitely recommend to anyone needing a good thing of plier cutters.

A good, small cutting plier. The rubberized grip is very comfortable, and the cutting edge works well for small cutting needs. I typically use it for cutting zip ties, guitar strings, and plant stems, so I have yet to try it on denser or thicker grade wires; but I have no doubt that these should be able to adequately handle most types of smaller wires. The size is good for utility drawers and boxes, as well as pant pockets and tool belts. Stanley offers a lifetime warranty in the event that they fail to perform at any time. They simply request that you call their toll-free number to arrange for a return/replacement.

Seemed to be good quality when I first looked at it, but when I got around to actually using it, I found that there was too much play in the joint, so that instead of the two sharp edges coming together, it comes together on two flat faces, so it will not even cut a plastic zip tie. There's no adjustment. In addition, even if it did cut properly, the pointy end is too blunt compared to a Craftsman pliers that I own, so it makes it kind of hard to get into a tight area and snip using the tip. Unfortunately I waited too long to return it.

Jaws are sharp, and align well with no gaps, but very thick after the cutting edge. Work good for solid #14 and heavier wire, but don't cut thin wire, or other materials (like wire ties) at all! Wouldn't recommend for all around use.

Elle coupe un fil electrique... mais pas trop gros … Elle ne coupe pas les ongles de pied de Chuck Norris, pas plus que le la tete du petit clou que vous venez de planter et qui depasse de qq millimetres... bref : c est une pince !
