Espresso dripper
I bought this dripper in May of '22 & it is still working like a dream. I use it to make espresso, dark roasts and iced coffees. Super easy to clean and store. Great product.

Get new flavors out of your beans
This is an interesting way to brew coffee that will get you some new flavors from the same beans you are used to. Had a "whoa" moment when suddenly the plain old medium roast beans that are okay but nothing special as drip showed a round sweet cherry fruit profile. Excited to try this with a robusta. The phin filters seem very well made and it's good to have two of them when brewing for two, because it takes a while to brew. Brew over ice or condensed milk for a nice treat.

Finally, Vietnamese Coffee at Home!!!!!
I love Vietnamese coffee. Every time I go to a Vietnamese restaurant, I order it and I have been doing this for at least 20 years. Recently, I was in a Vietnamese Cafe waiting for my Bun Mee take out order when I looked around and noticed that every table used an empty coffee can to hold their utensils. Every single table had an empty orange can of Cafe De Monde Coffee and Chicory label. Wait, one second....I have this coffee at home!!! At this precious moment, I realized there was no secret coffee bean used in a delightful cup of Vietnamese coffee. I raced home, went to Amazon because Amazon has everything, and searched for Vietnamese coffee filters. Out popped this as one of the choices. I took a chance and purchased it. This is such an easy contraption to use. It is no different than the Vietnamese coffee presses I have used in a restaurant. In matter of fact, it is the same press. How to make Vietnamese Coffee at Home: Ingredients: Cafe Du Monde Coffee and Chicory (Also available on Amazon) Sweetened condensed milk Hot Water Put a heaping tablespoonful of sweetened condensed milk into a coffee cup. Put a heaping tablespoonful of coffee at the bottom of the Vietnamese coffee press. Stack the coffee press on top of the coffee cup. Pour hot water into the press. Wait. And wait...all Vietnamese coffee presses take a long time--I have gone through this at restaurants. Once all the water has drained into the cup, remove the press, stir the cup. Drink. Heaven at home!

I have been using it for lattes and it’s been great
I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about this thing at first. I bought this to use with dark roast coffee because I don’t have any Vietnamese coffee beans. I thought the brew time would be too much. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I have been using this with a dark roast that I haven’t been too crazy about lately and this type of filter seems to have improved the flavor. I love it. Do I wish it was a little faster sure but the end result was worth it. You just have to get your grind right.

Makes good, strong coffee perfect for iced coffee!
I missed the strong iced Thai coffee from the older days and thought this style of brewing should be very close. I must say that I am very happy and the brews have been strong and flavorful, reminiscent of the old days. You do need to be patient with the process as the drip is slow. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, with photos of each step. I will say that I did not measure out 30 ml for wetting the grinds, just eyeballing it, but it all worked. You would do well to use the recommended coffee, Trung Nguyen, and sweetened condensed milk also. This set is the only one I looked at that had a screw on tamper (they call it screw down insert), which does a good job of packing the grinds tight for the drip process. I do not have the other tamper style of pushing down on the grinds, so I cannot say if there is any difference. The quality of the set is very good.

Perfect for a reusable pour over.
Perfect alternative to pour over. I don't mind the grounds at the bottom. I just throw out the last bit at the bottom. The coffee is delicious and the maker is easy to maintain. I just knock out most the grounds and rinse out the remaining bits.

Works perfectly with my Vietnamese coffee powder. I think people should use this more since it’s eco friendly because there’s no need to buy paper filters. Less waste, less trash, better for the environment. It’s also very portable, great for hiking or camping. The water flow can be adjusted somewhat, but I think it will work well with all strong bodied coffees. Vietnamese coffee is the best tasting coffee in my opinion.

Excellent high quality phin filters made in Vietnam. Takes a little to get used to but if it drips too slow the coffee is ground too fine and screw is too tight, but once your perfect the technique you get a wonderful cup of coffee.

I have bought it to use on liveaboards. And it works perfectly. Just a few minutes and a cup of a flavored coffee is ready. Thus far TNI King coffee looks like a good choice for it.
