This is a great cat door. We cut into our laundry room to garage door and the best part is you can lock it to not open from either side, or lock it to go out only or come in only. I had my first oone for over 10 years and bought this one to replace the pastic that broke off due to my dog trying to go through it. The cats use it without any problem. Once it is installed it does not slip, the adhesive holds well, fits great and all sizes of cats can use. I have a 10 pound female and a 19 pound male that use it. This dorr is made to last.

I installed this pet door a few weeks ago, and it has been a great addition to our home. The size is perfect for my cat, and she figured out how to use it almost immediately. The flap is lightweight enough for pets to push through easily, but it still closes well to help keep outside air, rain, and bugs out.Installation was fairly simple and only took a short time with basic tools. The frame feels sturdy and fits nicely in the door without looking bulky. I also like that the flap is slightly tinted, which gives a bit of privacy while still letting light through.Since installing it, my pet can go in and out freely, which has been very convenient. I no longer have to constantly open the door for her, especially at night.

I would've given this a 5 star review, except for the fact that the instructions are only pictures. While they are easy to understand for me, I loathe pictures in instructions because they aren't even really well-drawn.Now that I've said that, I borrowed a jigsaw from my dad to install this in a hollow-core door I found on the side of the road. I was hesitant at first because the last cat door I bought that he installed on a hollow-core door was a pain to install. The template was incorrect, so we ended up having to recut and wing it. This one, however, was exact. (The template is what the instructions are printed on.) I traced the template, drilled the holes on the corner (inside the template), then cut it out with a jigsaw. I then got a small drill-bit and drilled starter holes for the four screws that go in the front corners.In total, I spent maybe 10 minutes total, including going back inside to get a different drill bit.The instructions did not mention starter holes, but I wasn't able to just screw these in without the holes. They also didn't make it 100% clear that I had to drill INSIDE the template to start off before cutting with a jigsaw, but after looking at it for a second, it became clear. I had just assumed at first that was the starter holes, but it was not. (Judge away...I've never done this sort of thing before.)The locking mechanism is also really easy to use on this door. However, I can see it being TOO easy...I could see it latching accidentally, but it's not that big of a deal for me, as she will just be going in and out of another room, vs going outside.Also, heads up, the flap does not have a seal so I would definitely not install it on an exterior door.The only down-side to this door that I do not like is that the screws only go in through the front. The back part of the door is stuck on with stickers that are included. That seems very cheap, but it serves it's purpose and my cat is on the small side (8 pounds) and she doesn't mess with the door or try to ruin it. I don't use it to lock her in a room either, so she doesn't claw at it. The door is just so I could install an actual door on my laundry room since it is not insulated, and I'd rather keep the litter box smell isolated as much as possible, and keep my small kids OUT.

It works as good as the person installing it. Make sure you get the screws straight or it will slightly twist and the door will not swing as well. I was lazy and didn't take the door off to do one of mine and it didn't come out as good as another. I can't blame the product though.Also it's accurate when they say designed for cats up to 15 lb. I have 2 18 pound cats that barely fig through with some wiggles so I should've gotten something larger.

This door works fine however my major complaint is that it does not have a middle section. The instructions recommend putting tape in between the two pieces to cover the gap. Not acceptable to me. If I had to do it over again, I would spend a few more bucks a buy a complete door. And that's exactly what I did for my second door. Haven't received yet but spend a little more and hoping for a complete door. The size and pet access to this door is fine. As stated, it functions as it should. Installation was easy and materials are decent for the price but still cannot recommend.

For the low price of this door, $8, I was halfway expecting no so great of a product. I thought I might as well try it and replace it later if it didn't work. We had a pet safe model cat door at our old house, and when we moved I tried to but the same thing.I'll admit I must have been distracted or something when I bought this, because it thought it was for exterior door use. It is not. But that is clearly included in the description. My fault.Since we moved our pets to the new house before we lived there, we needed a way for the cats to get inside for food and to be out of the elements. I realized my this product is for interior doors but installed it anyway on the exterior door to our garage. It's has been on there for eight months now, and functions so well I don't wish to change it.What makes it for interior doors only is that it is missing the piece in the middle which covers the exposed inside of the door that you cut a hole in. I Cut a strip of Formica that I had and put it in the middle of this cat door to keep the rain and moisture out of the inside of the door. So far this has worked great.As far as I can tell the build quality and materials used in the interior door are the same as the exterior pet doors. Well made thick hard plastic sides and hinged door. It swings open easily and has the ability to lock if you feel the need.Obviously I don't recommend anyone to use this inside door on the outside door, but my point is that it is very well made and durable. Not a different flimsy grade or anything because it's meant for inside.The magnet is holding up great, I have had no problems with it falling out as a few people have mentioned. We have two cats that go inside and put quite a bit throughout the day and night, so I know it gets quite a bit of use.The instructions are easy to understand, they tell you exactly what you need before you get going so there are no surprises. There is a bit of overlap in the pieces so in case you are not perfect with your cuts it will not show when the door is installed.

Great to add into our laundry room door for our cat, easy install, was able to take the plastic door part out as our cat doesn’t like it.

We had a bad smell in our basement due to cat litter box and I always wanted to move it to the cold room but then I had to leave the door open. Then I realized there might be something like this on the market. I looked it up and lots of products came up . I chose this one because it looked like a good products . I got it and I can not be happier. I already installed it . It took me 10 minutes with some tools and it looks amazing. Some issues that is you door is thicker like mine , the inside of the door will be visible which is not a problem for me. You can see it in the pictures . The other issue is that our cat is still not trained after a few days and we have to keep it open with a tape . He actually got his paw stuck. He pushed it then when wanted to retract his paws it got stuck and we had to help him to get it out but that is the training no big harm . I wish I know about this earlier .

La instalamos sin necesidad de desmontar la puerta. No tuvimos el problema de que quedara espacio entre las dos piezas como otras reseñas decían, pero eso depende del grosor de la puerta. El primer día la dejamos abierta (la tapadera) para que entraran y salieran los gatos sin tener que empujar. El segundo día les estuvimos enseñando como pasar cuando la puerta está cerrada.
