This is the best pour over coffee I ever had. We travel to South east Asia for 7 weeks and brew our own coffee every morning and this thing brings us so much joy every morning. It’s light weight and easy to clean. I carry 1 backpack the whole 7 weeks with everything that I use for our trip and this pour over coffee is compact, light weight and just amazing. I will take this with me on every trip.

The only way to make an excellent cup of coffee every time. The Melitta 1 cup Pour-Over-Coffee Brewer, using the Melitta Filters, provides the perfect cup. The size is great for one person, it fits well in top rack of dishwasher, the plastic is durable. The water flow through the coffee grounds is as perfect as the pourer knows how to direct the water. I advise people to Google making pour-over-coffee to educate themselves.

There are times when I want a cup of coffee but don't need to brew an entire pot. This Melitta 1-Cup Pour-Over Brew Cone gives me a simple way to make a single serving without pulling out another appliance or wasting coffee. The design couldn't be much easier. I place the cone over my mug, add the appropriate filter and ground coffee, then slowly pour hot water over the grounds. There are no buttons, cords, pods, or complicated settings to deal with. I also like having more control over the brewing process. I can adjust the amount of coffee, grind, and water to get the strength where I want it rather than accepting whatever a single-serve machine decides to give me. The compact size is another big advantage. It takes up very little cabinet space and would also be easy to pack for travel, camping, or anywhere I have access to hot water but not necessarily a coffee maker. There is a little more hands-on effort involved than pressing a button on a pod machine, and getting consistent results takes some attention to the amount and speed of the water you're pouring. For me, that's part of the appeal rather than a drawback. Overall, it's an inexpensive, straightforward way to make a fresh cup of coffee without brewing an entire pot. No app, no touchscreen, no Wi-Fi connection—just hot water and coffee. Apparently we've finally discovered something that doesn't need a software update.

Great for one or two cups. Easy to clean and store. Lightweight, does not affect taste of coffee. Good quality. Adequate appearance.

Single drip outlet makes the coffee pour better managed

This sturdy plastic coffee filter holder is just right for brewing a single cup of coffee, though it will likely require 2-3 fills of hot water, depending on the size of your cup. It sits flat on the rim of all my coffee cups with outer diameter between 2 3/4 - 4 1/8 inches (7 cm - 10 1/2 cm), and is very stable. This holder does not have a handle, but you can grasp it easily with thumb-and-forefinger along the tall part of the cone without burning your skin or getting your fingers in the coffee. It takes a #2 disposable paper coffee filter. The liquid exits with appropriate slowness through one very small hole about 1/8 inch (3mm) diameter in the bottom of the holder (not shown in photo). You could use 2 filters at the same time if you want to brew more slowly. So far, this holder seems to wash easily. The black color seems much less likely to show coffee stains as much as the lighter-colored filter holders do. I have been drinking brewed coffee for 63 years, and I like this filter holder better than most others I have used.

This makes pour over coffee as good as your beans. No reason to spend more money, buy a fancier device, or pay extra for a barista (always tip your barista) to make you a pour-over coffee. Just get this. I can make an argument for a non-plastic device, but this should last many many years and is shatter resistant and unlikely to be dented. It's light weight, with the correct filter (a few are included) makes it easy to get a great cup of coffee at home, or in a hotel room. Pour over coffee has no delays, and you don't have to wait for a machine to do the work because you do it yourself. Water just off the boil and your favorite beans with the right grind make gourmet coffee that's as good as it gets. And when it's time to clean up, the filter pops out making the cleaning job simple. I would like to caution, however, paper filters help remove oils, and those oils, when allowed through, tend to accumulate in the nooks and edges of any coffee basket and those go rancid, so use your filters and clean with a brush occasionally. Or use a permanent filter and use a brush daily. 5/5 stars, and an essential part of my daily coffee arsenal.
