Enjoy learning to play the piano
Using this after Book 1 of the same name. It includes teaching tips and QR codes to scan where you can actually hear the songs being played.

Helps you learn how to play, but could have been edited better. Vague in some areas.
Ugh, I'm a newbie obviously... this is the second book I'm using to learn how to play just to have a variety... I find this book frustrating at times, I read every part line by line and follow the directions and exercises as instructed to. However, you get wrenches thrown at you that are not explained and your left to figure it out on your own. One example is on page 35 under the bass clef and it says "2 on __" no where are there instructions for what this is supposed to relate to or what your filling the blank with. I finally scanned back and forth through out the book to figure out that your goal is to put the finger number in the blank space. How the editor missed that I have no idea, but as a beginner that was extremely frustrating trying to understand why that was there. Next was page 50-51, again Im learning here and would prefer to not have to read into things and just follow directions. I thought the Camptown Races song was all thirds since thats what we are learning on the page prior to the song. I kept playing the song over and over and couldn't understand why it didnt sound right, again playing thirds because that's what we are being taught to play. Finally figured out oh there are some seconds in the song also... amazing the song sounded right after that. Overall I like the book I am progressing at a decent pace and learning a lot, but have even more to still learn. I think the book could have been more specific in places and less specific in others. I would still recommend this product especially if you enjoy being self taught and like books that make you think on your feet not just follow along...

well paced and organized with video links for instruction.
This is an excellent book. The instructions are clear. Each piece comes with a QR code to a video demonstration and lesson. The lessons are well paced. I think I finally found the perfect piano method book.

Professional and well designed for the beginner/intermediate player
I started taking piano lessons at 62 years old because of the COVID shut down. I ordered Book 1 and loved it so I am now starting Book 2. They also have an App that will help you with the timing and also makes your piano playing sound better (nice added benefit).

Excellent Piano Methods Books for Adults
As a piano teacher for over 20 years, I have found the Faber Piano Adventure Series to be the best methods I've ever used. The adult books share the same excellence. I like that it includes theory pages and technic as well as the usual lessons. The songs are a nice selection from classical themes to traditional to originals. All are arranged very musically. This book covers the equivalent content of the Older Beginner Book 2 through Level 3B, so it moves along at a good clip. Of course there are also 189 pages. (Faber Adult Piano I covered Key of C & G, and reading notes up to high G right above the staff & down to low G at the bottom line of the bass staff, and overlaps with to some of Older Beginner Level 2. That gives one an idea of the level it begins at.)

Superb Piano Book
I was so impressed by the quality and standard of Book 1, that I bought this accompanying Book 2. It is of the same superior quality in content and I know I will be able to continue with my piano learning journey with the help of this resource. As with Book 1, the QR codes are an excellent learning aid and I love that I can play along with the music, which makes it such fun and keeps interest as well as a sense of achievement. This Book 2 continues to expand on theory knowledge as well as technical skills ( covered in Book 1) with a lovely selection of pieces to learn as well.

Great continuation after Book 1, if not a little boring.
This book follows up book 1 neatly and builds on the techniques you learned. I spent much longer on each piece than I did in book 1, naturally because the pieces are more difficult and longer. Some pieces look daunting at first, but you just have to try them and you'll find yourself learning these pieces in an hour. However, perhaps it's just the novelty wearing off, I found this book to be much more boring to get through compared to book 1. There are only a hand few of songs that I enjoyed going through, and all the pieces are left hand chords, right hand melody and it gets repetitive quick. You'll only know 3 of the major scales and the equivalent minors by the end of the book, so I would recommend spending 5 minutes a day trying to learn one new major scale a day, something I wish I did. Nevertheless, that's just the struggles us self-learning adult pianists have to endure. You have to stick through it to be able to play the pieces you enjoy. I finished the book in about 3 to 4 months, but I'm currently going through the book again to refine my techniques, which unfortunately is even more of a bore the second time around. On the bright side, the earlier pieces are good sight reading material as it is likely you'll forget them by the end due to how forgettable they are.

Videos not as good as the first book
I've only just started this, but what I've immediately realised is that the online video resources that were so useful with in the first book are not provided for this one. They provide a bunch of audio files, but these are just backing tracks, and so it can be difficult to understand how a piece should sound, which is important for beginners. They do provide a video playlist on YouTube of Randall playing some of the pieces, but unless I missed something, he doesn't play all of them. Yellow Bird, for example. So you'll have to go to third parties to find videos of people playing these pieces. The pieces he does play, aren't played fully, it seems. I wanted to hear the entirety of Niagara Falls to understand how the Coda works, but, again, unless I missed something, he only played a part of it. The videos for the first book also had two camera angles of the pianist, whereas this one only has one.
