Bones Super Swiss 6 Skateboard Bearings 8 Pack

I've had these on my board for a few races now, and a bunch of sessions. They roll farther, longer, faster, and smoother than all my other friends setups using regular Reds or other brands. Hands down at this $39.50 price point I cannot think of a better bearing for the money. The 6ball design really reduces friction and the results speak for themselves. Some people argue that bearings make no difference or not enough difference to factor into the performance of your board..but I've proven to myself and quite a few others that a good bearing can go a long way. I start at the back of the group behind my friends and finish far ahead. Every run. Just a great bearing. I'll be buying a set for every deck I run. I highly recommend getting the Bones Cleaning bottle and some speed cream. These stay cleaner longer than regular reds because of the shields, but keeping them clean keeps them fast. Edit: After having the these same set of Bones SS 6Balls on my downhill board for over a year..they are still the best bearings I have ever ridden and especially for their price here on Amazon. (They retail for around $60) As this is an update after long periods and many many use, I keep these clean with the Bones bearing cleaning kit (that bottle kit) and use speed cream every time I clean them. I clean them about once every 3 months or if they are particularly covered in grime after rougher surfaces. After over a year of frequent use I still overtake people not using these bearings in many many races, and glide much much longer during prolonged kicking over flat surfaces. If you're kicking around the idea of buying these at all...just buy them. They are excellent quality and sustain excellent performance over time.

For a bit of background. I’m almost 44 years old and skated only Bones Swiss back in the 80’s. I’ve just gotten back on the board every Sunday for our 40+ club. I initially started with Bones Reds and Indy 7’s. They were okay but my friend told me about Bronson Raw so I ordered a set. They were awesome out of the box but after 3 sessions of pushing around, they got super and slow on my back trucks (I’m on the heavy side). I thought that maybe my weight played a role. I thoroughly cleaned and used Bronson lube to no avail. I decided to return them and get these bearings. All I can say is that they are super fast, quiet and smooth out of the box. The Swiss make the best bearings and Bones have the name to back them up. If you’re hesitant to spend the money for Swiss, don’t be. Keep them clean and lubed and you’ll be that guy that hasn’t replaced his bearings for years!

The Bones Super Swiss 6 may seem like they are ridiculously priced, but as someone that's been skateboarding for over half their life, these are more worth the money! I'm 32 and no other bearing I've ever skated in my life has been as smooth and as long rolling as these are and these are FAST bearings. They do however take a while to break in...took me about 3 to 5 sessions to get mine good and seated but they have been 100% on point since then. I have not a single regret on buying these. They are better than Bones Reds, Independent Blacks, Black Panther Ceramics, Lucky 7s, and so on and so on. They are the same as Bones Swiss except they have 6 ball bearings instead of 7.

I am completely satisfied with these. I bought these to replace my older set of Bones Swiss and I have no regrets. I longboard as my main source of transportation usually averaging 20-25 miles a day, so I need dependable long lasting bearings. The break-in period on these was about 2 days for me, 63 miles, before I really noticed the performance of these bearings. I have already put roughly 680 miles on these and have had no issues with them. I cleaned and re-lubed them for the first time at 256 miles and even then I only did so because I thought they would need it, much to my surprise they were still lubed and clean in the tracks. They ride very smooth and I have noticed they have a much smoother acceleration (kick off) than regular Bones Swiss. They also maintain speed much longer with much less effort. I have had sets of every Bones bearings including Swiss Ceramics, and the Super Swiss 6 have outperformed all of them. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for well built, dependable, quality bearings.

So I've been out of the skateboard game for a while, and other than the last month, the only baseline I have would be bearings I could afford in my teens. I've recently had w/e they put on LandYachts, w/e they put on Loaded, Big Balls, and these SS6; these are not even in the same league as the others mentioned. I haven't skated a bunch of high quality bearings, but am very familiar with precision equipment and quality made products and boy oh boy am I impressed. I set out to build a nice longboard and am simply not going to spend three figures on bearings, but willing to go more than $25, and could not be more pleased. BTW I got the Big Balls after these to put on some slidey wheels, and also compare; BIGS are solid but these are way better. Literally just spun them real hard inside Cuagamas and went for 2:45...

16 Bones Super Swiss 6 bearings used in a Rollerblade X5 FSK with 80mm/84A Hyper Concrete Grip+ wheels. Purchased 24 (3x8) Quality - great material as good as Bones usually and better than an Twincam ILQ9 PRO (6 ball) Acceleration - noticable speed difference, however my girl's Bones Swiss can keep it's speed longer. Dependence - weather, humidity, temperature. Seems that it rolls smooter on hotter days. This definitely sucks in Dublin. Cleaning - easy technical assembly. Bones should be more thorough about advising cleaning products for best performance. Using methylane shouldn't have been a problem but in fact cleaning after 3 times each before used for less than consecutive 100 km the bearings started to spot-rust. Used Bones Bearings cleaning unit... tried to do it text book style, still rusting, big mistery. Very disappointing. Support - Bones must think that the fine printed 'manual' answers everything - guessing that they provide the same one with every bearing and on the website - but they should spend time and energy on their overseas customers and their possibilities. (we don't necessary have the same engine cleaner that they use in the US) Of course no answer to e-mail query. Replacement parts - too expensive. You'd better off buying a new set of bearings better yet a new set of skates equipped with bones bearings. Packaging - very disappointing. Box - more like A5 cardboard envelope was damaged and no bubblewrap were used. 1 set of bearings were slightly sticking out on the side. I wonder why is it not a standard that fine equipments are protected if not over... not to mention spending over $180 including import fees and very expensive shipping and packaging charges. Regulations - Ordering to the EU only offers a bit of saving - even though product price much cheaper, however totalling the product, import fees, shipping and handling and government tax from our side adds up and leaves you with a 10'er, but since locally nothing is available didn't have any other choice. (Don't understand why quality bearings aren't promoted here or why are these priced so high compared to the US.) Shipping - on time. dispatched 2 days after placing the order. Delivered as promised between 3-5 days. Charged government tax unexpectedly - caused a bit of awkward delay in receiving but DHL returned on the same day and happily delivered upon payment. 21% DON'T FORGET!!! to have cash ready. I am an artistic/disco quad roller skater using vanilla freestyles with Vgrip interceptor wheels. I think I'm the first quad skater to rate or perhaps even use these bearings as everyone else appears to be a skateboarder. Negatives: You must tighten the wheel nuts all the way down, not super tight, but all the way. My right front wheel came off during break in. These bearings for some reason cause the nut to loosen. Not sure why. There should be a torque specification for these to prevent confusion. the 8 pack is only enough for one skate. buy 2 packs, which they don't warn you about. break in time is not a sure thing, so don't listen to the product description. very misleading. just start skating and you'll know when they're broken in. Be careful with these bearings, once broken in they are super fast and you can hurt yourself. Bearings are about 1 mm off the quad axle, which seems odd, but see comments below. Positives: The bearing fits loose, but actually leads to precision handling especially with figure 8s, Smooth gliding bearings at all speeds. Easy to clean, and you don't need spacers if your wheel has a machined groove. If you are a speed skater, you will never lose with these bearings. Trust me on that. Bones Bearings have always been the best but these bearings take the cake! I had a set of Bones Super Reds before and while they did the job, they were no where close to as smooth and fast as these. When I ride down hills now I can go 5x the distance I could with the Super Reds. Building up speed on the Ripstik is so easy now; less muscle spent in acceleration = more time riding before you're exhausted! For a mere $45 dollars you'll have a set a bearings that are so closely comparable to ceramics that you won't even want to spend the extra $75. Plus, with some love and care, these bearings will pay themselves off and still have plenty of life left to them. Treat these babies right by cleaning them and re-lubing every 3 months, maybe 6 if you don't ride it everyday. As they are on the spendy side, I would highly recommend buying the installation tool made by Bones to avoid damaging the inner ring as could happen if using a screwdriver or other make-shift tool. Bones also sells a great cleaning kit and Speed Cream lube that share the same quality we've come to expect from them. Hatte vorher die race reds und diese zurück geschickt. diese Swiss bearing sind mega. ich musste höllisch aufpassen nach dem Wechsel dass ich nicht von der strasse abkomme, so ein enormer unterschied, die Geschwindigkeit ist enorm gestiegen.

ABSOLUTELY crazy bearings I stuck them in my home made Long board and tested it down hill I was going way too fast the board slipped from underneath from a power slide I didn't even try doing and smashed right into the curb. My advice is get wheels that have really good grip or you will have your board will power slide from the slightest turn
