Are there any levels on the product (or mounting plate) to ensure a level line when using on walls? Or do I have to set a level on the laser line?

The plate can also be used as a wall bracket for the measuring tool and use a level to fix the leveling plate flat on the surface. Has anyone tried using this to install hardwood flooring? Can it draw a line half inch away from the wall?

It can project a line approx. 3/4" from and parallel to the wall. However, the 45 & 90 deg. lines will be aimed at the wall. Therefore, it will only be useful to project a straight line, not using the squaring function.
