Worked!!
I wanted to handle our problem without impacting our pets or wildlife. We put them in bait boxes and over a couple weeks noticed reduced camera activity. Checked the boxes and they were definitely consumed. No sightings since!!

DOES NOT WORK
Perhaps I should rephrase the title of this review, but I needed to get your attention so you’d read this. I cannot say with 100% certainty that it does not work because I don’t know what would happen to the mice and rats if they ate this. Why? Because THE WON’T EAT IT! I have had these since March, and I even went so far as to buy their little bait stations too. 3 months ago, I placed the station right next to a hole where mice were entering my home. Of course they simply avoided it. I set up a night vision capable camera and watched them walk around it rather than go inside and eat the bait. So, I placed a disc outside of the station and still in front of the hole. They literally crawled over it and just went along their merry way. I even tried to put this in a dish with rice, bird seed, cheese, you name it. I tried so many things and they would still not touch this bait. I even crushed some of the pellet version that I bought and mixed that with different things. Guess what? They wouldn’t even eat cheese if it’s coated in this stuff! WOW. So what about outside? Nope, not a single bite. I placed bait stations outside too. I even got some other brand ones with bigger openings so the rats coming down from the hillside would fit. They crawled on top of the stations rather than go inside. And when I put bait on top of the station, they didn’t even pay them any attention. Mice and Rats are simply not attracted to this bait at all, so how could it possibly work if they won’t eat it? I have no clue what to do to entice them to eat these darn things. I was so hopeful that this would reduce their numbers, but I was deeply disappointed. What a waste of my hard earned money. If it was still within the return window, I would grab all the discs and pack them back up in the bag to get a refund. Yes, I have all the discs still because the mice and rats won’t even sniff this stuff let alone eat it. Save your money and buy something else that’s more effective.

We are amazed! It works!
We have had a growing problem with rats in our large chicken Coop at night for months. We used snap traps, but they couldn't kill them fast enough or in the numbers we needed. We tried the stupid buckets the rats are supposed to fall into - Ha - apparently we have smarter than average rats as not one fell for it, or into it. We had contemplated poison traps but didn't want pieces of the green cakes getting loose where our chickens or cars might eat it. We also didn't care for the thought of another animal eating the poisoned dead rat carcasses. So we kept looking. And WahLa!! We found RatX! After 2 months of use in large plastic bait traps the numbers of live rats have been reduced significantly and we aren't finding many bodies? We've smelled a couple of dead ones but wonder if they mostly crawl off into the woods to die? In any case we highly recommend this product - and have, a few of our rural neighbors are also now using the product.

Smaller amount of disks than advertised
Bag only contained 32 disks when it states on bag that it contains 45. Seems to work well so far but false advertising regarding quantity.

Rat poison
Perfect size suggest you wear gloves when handling them. Slows the rats down and they pass. Does not harm birds that eat them. Is not harmful to chickens, children, dogs or cats

Non-toxic to other life and that's the whole point
I feel your pain fellow rat-sufferers. They've invaded my house in the past, they may have killed my beloved lemon tree this year. When they strike one wants to see them dead as soon as possible. It is tempting to buy something highly toxic like bromethalin or an anti-coagulant rodenticide. Resist the urge. In the end having such a dangerous product in your home or yard and the risk it poses to other animals or even humans in not worth the faster action. It took some time to get the rodents to take the rat pellets. And I was frustrated to find them chewing little bits off a dozen pellets and scattering them around the yard, worried the amount they were ingesting may be insufficient. But I do believe it's working, the numbers truly seem diminished after a couple weeks. Oil or a small amount of peanut butter did increase palatability but they would chew the outside of the pellets and leave a lot of bait behind-- that being said I do think some of them got a toxic dose from this because again, the amount of activity in the yard and new rat feces is less and less. I am excited about leaving this product out all the time in bait boxes. And, I placed one out in a tray along with pellets and it was completely gone-- I suspect it was probably carried off to a nest. I have a feeling these discs may be more palatable without any additives that may make the product more effective. So yes, this product isn't going to be a 1-2 day kill like with some other products. But you can sleep easier not worrying you're going to kill wildlife, cats or dogs through accidental ingestion or secondary poisoning from eating deceased rodents. Calm yourself, be patient and don't resort to highly toxic baits that are harmful to the ecosystem, a danger to your loved ones and impossible to safely dispose of. At least that's where I am in the struggle for now.

Not recommended
This product is a disappointment. I used the throwpacks with success and ordered the bait discs which were delivered in bad condition. To be exact, the discs had disintegrated into powder. My reorder was just delivered with the same issue. I am disappointed because the throwpacks worked really well but were expensive. I was hoping for a less costly option.

It does what it says on the bag. The only draw back is that they expand and crumble with the humidity. So if you position them on bar in a Rodent bait box they end up in a pile of dust. Unlike more robust poisons. But they still work.

The council "rat man" told me that these would do little more than make a rat feel a bit ill. Which would probably then discourage them from coming back to the baiter box.

The discs, all of them except six were crushed and just arrived as powder. I have tried the product as powder but rats seem to just distribute the dust on the floor outside bait boxes.

The product disintegrates in the bait boxes, the rodents don't eat it, more rats than ever nearly 4 weeks on. Expensive waste of money.

The rats sniffed it and ran off! Total waste of 45 quid a packet! Complete rubbish!
