Why aren’t my glasses returning to clear when in the dark as they are permanently tinted. When I took them out of the box they started off clear.

Mine have never been completely clear, but I presume that during delivery it was in the dark so much that they were clear - if you want them that way again, I'd say try putting them in a dark box for about 24 hours and see what that does... from what I understand of them, they're meant to darken in the light and then go paler when out of the light, not so much go completely clear...

Can you use these for indoors use too ?

They're glasses, so what would stop you (apart from looking like an idiot if you wore sunglasses indoors at night) - the main bonus of them is the photochromic light changing, so if it gets bright, the glasses will change (over time, it's not instant), but be aware that some laptop screens & monitors are polarised, so you might see nothing until you tilt your head...
