Quality strings as usual

The aren't as bright and don't pop as much as the green ones I purchased for another bass, but they do work well with the color of the bass i put them on. As far as playing, they play different but not bad. They respond differently than the strings I had been using. Not bad, just different, so they will take some getting used to. I didn't really notice a difference in sound. Shipping took longer than expected, but that happens here.

Perhaps the worst bass strings ever made. Completely dead sounding with no tone at all. I'm guessing the positive reviews are from inexperienced players that are just into the novelty of having colored strings. The Neon Blues were like they were covered in blue latex house paint, killing any potential sound properties. I put them on did a sound check, for a VERY LARGE outdoor show, and it felt like there was a mute on my bass. I asked the sound engineer how much time I had for full band sound check, he said 20mins.. which I used that time to put my normal Nickel Hybrid strings back on my bass, thankfully I brought my backup strings to swap back to. My bass was back to it's brilliant, bright sound and the show went fantastic. Had I kept the DR Neons on my bass, I would have been EQ'ing and trying to fix my tone for the next 4hrs. Enough of an experiment that novelty colored strings are not for me, maybe just for bedroom players.

I really like these strings, and I bought the green version previously. It takes about a month for them to ship to Japan, but I was excited to get them today. I really like the feel and sound of the strings, but the G string snapped while changing them. Pretty disappointed about it, but the other 4 sound good.

These seem to be short scale and won't fit my Ibanez BTB605 bass The winding drops in diameter twice at the nut end and so the diameter on reaching the nut is therfore loose in the slot. A normal long scale string reaches the nut before it reduces in diameter. Unfortunately I've missed the return window because my bass was at the shop. So I've wasted money on 2 sets I can't use. Pity as they look very nice.

Leider sind auf der H,E, und A Saite Herstellungsfehler. Der blaue "Belag" (Ummandlung) ist teilweise beschädigt und man kann die "blanken Saiten" darunter sehen. Der Artikel hätte als B-Ware verkauft werden müssen. Ich werde ihn jetzt reklamieren.
