I needed magnetic switches to act as a discrete reset switch in some of my electronics projects so I bought reed switches made of glass as a first trial. Those could not bare the hot weather of Florida are were rendered useless before I could even use them. I then decided to give a try to this product, a bit more expensive but hopefully of better quality and I was right. They work like a charm and if one get stuck due to a strong magnetic field, just pass the magnet on the other side a little longer to reset it. The only drawback is that they are a pain to solder due to the material used for the leads.

Worked perfectly for me.

These switch pretty fast and are decently sensitive. activates sooner when the magnet is close to one of the leads. they are mechanical parts though so you can wear them out (fail closed)

These switch with a magnet approaching from either end or the sides. Seem decent.

I used this to wire up a kill switch in my car. I run a magnet over the reed switch that is hidden inside the car in order to get the vehicle started. I only needed one so I'm not sure what I'll use the rest of them for.

Using them to sense trains on my model railroad. Work fine.

Worked like a champ on converting a standard bass pedal to a rock band pedal!
