Prima Marketing Inc Redesign Transfer - Rose Celebration

I have a solid pine computer workstation which I bought over a decade ago and became bored with. So, I painted it with chalk paint 'original' and 'graphite' and left the outside of the cabinet plain as I have a lot of paintings on my walls and didn't want it all to look too much. However, the doors are frequently open as I am on the computer a lot and I decided to glorify the insides for fun with this Prima Re-design 'Rose Celebration' transfer! It doesn't look like the transfer in the advert as I chopped the design into bits so that there could be some balance between the design on both doors. I think it works well and am very happy with the end result as well as with this brand of transfers which I have used before on a small pine wardrobe ('Delicate Roses' also reviewed with photos). Rub on transfers require care, pressure, and perseverance. The transfer designs are adhered to clear plastic which is rubbed to transfer the artwork to another object (workstation, wardrobe). The trick is not to lift the plastic quickly but to apply pressure and gently lift little by little to check that the transfer has left the plastic completely. I find them very easy to use and have had no problems at all. Pricey but worth it.

I bought a used dining table to convert into a sewing table. I didn't want to sand and stain so I decided to paint it. I used an all in one paint but it just looked plain. I have never used transfers and decided to try them. As you can see from left to right on the table, I got more comfortable and actually trimmed out the parts of the pattern I wanted. I sanded the edges trying to soften and blend it in. I put one layer of poycrylic but debating on a different finish for a shinier look and more glide. These transfers don't take any special skills to apply. Peel, stick where you want and rub with wide popsicles stick or even a plastic store/credit card to get bubbles out and seal to wood.Overall, I think it too expensive for what you get. I paid more for the transfers then for the table! I am happy with the table though.
