Hello, i have an old ac and i was wondering f this remote will work on my lg plasma gold thanks

I ordered this for my dad to use on his air con unit, but when it arrived it lacked instructions on how to pair it with the unit, my dad isn’t technical at all & although I have more experience with these things I couldn’t work it out either. I think it really needs technical knowledge in order to get it to work for what it’s intended.
