I bought this to add a degree of difficult to the balance exercises I am doing. I got the XL size since I have big feet. It is large enough for me to use for a toe to heel stance on the diagonal. It is thick and springy and the textured surface prevents it from sliding on my hardwood floor. I am happy with the quality and use it every day. Good addition to my routine.

Post surgery and after an 18 month illness that left me nearly bed ridden, atrophy in one leg set in requiring extensive rehab and PT. This matt help with balance and it does a superb job in retraining the brain and muscles in learning to walk and balance again. It doesn't look like it would but, because it is soft and spongy, our body starts tipping over in one direction or another. By looking straight ahead and stepping onto this matt, our brains tell our feet calf's, thighs hips, and especially our lower backs to work and maintain balance.

Perfect amount of padding. Bought initially up to use under my forearms when planking, but I also use this under my knees when doing girlie push-ups. I don’t care for the synthetic cover material but I just put a cotton pillowcase over it anyways. It has held up well due to its density. Portable and lightweight

My PCP referred me for PT to work on my balance. We used one of these every week in my sessions. I never saw or heard of one of these until then. Its sponginess makes it a bit challenging to stand on and maintain my balance. That is the whole point. I use it almost daily as a start to my home workout: one foot in front of the other, holding a 5 lb weight in front of my with both hands and then trace the Alphabet with outstretched arms and the 5lb weight. Try it. My PT recommended it as one of her most effective exercises to help with my balance. But you need one of these to really benefit from it. Make sure you get this size. There are smaller, cheaper pads. This one allows you to comfortably place one foot in front of the other. I've been using this for about six months now. Excellent investment in my health!

Almost as good as the Exercise Balance Pad that I use at the gym which is much more costly.

This is exactly what it says it is. I had a knee replacement -- I had a similar old one that needed to be replaced. I bought this one, I am very happy with it. I like the color too & the size was excellent. It's comfortable for all Physical T.

Good pad to practice balance on and keep yourself in shape

This balance pad is exactly what I’ve been looking for but didn’t know existed. It has the perfect amount of cushioning and firmness. It “gives” just enough to help me regain my balance after a brain injury without causing me to fall. Also it’s the first pad I’ve found that cushions my badly injured knees without allowing me to sink to the hard floor. (I’m on the heavy side and I should have been looking for a balance pad instead of kneeler or gardening pad.) I can now bathe my dirt dog myself and save the money I was paying the groomer! My My dirt-dog jack will jump for joy when he learns about this find because it means he can play in the water and mud more often! It looks very nice and it does not slide underneath me on the slick floor. I may get the regular sized one to use as a booster in my vehicle.Thank you.

Cercavo un tappetino da usare per la riabilitazione del mio cavallo (550kg) e ero molto titubante sulla resistenza di questo (quelli appositi per equini costano 10 volte tanto e non volevo spendere tutti quei soldi). Invece resiste BENISSIMO, non ha neanche un acciacco nonostante lo abbia usato ormai una decina di volte. Inoltre, non so se sia solo suggestione, ma mi sembra di aver già notato dei miglioramenti nella postura del mio cavallo!
