I found they advertised "upgrade",can anyone tell me what are they upgraded?

Upgraded groove design for easy opening in emergency. This groove on the top and bottom which is different from others. BTW,Winonly provide 5 years warranty to make sure you could buy door lock with confidence and would try our best to solve any problem until you are satisfied.

Has anyone had a break in? Does this lock strong enough to hold up?

I have not tried to kick my own front door down, but between these locks and the double strike plates I just installed, my doors really do feel a lot more secure.

I ordered a 2-Pack of the upgraded version, but received the older version. I want the grooved ones, what do I need to do?

Quite honestly, I have some of the older and newer versions and I cannot tell the difference between the two versions in their ease of use nor their effectiveness.

Can this be installed in metal door?

If the door frame is wood yes or if you have a drill bit for metal.
