perfect multi-purpose health pot for chinese medicine and western teas
UPDATE: I've been using this pot almost daily for over a month now. I love still love it. I make 3-4 cups every morning for work to pour into my thermos. I'm expecting a shipment of dried ingredients for Chinese medicinal soup to arrive today so I can try the soup function. MY OPINION: i really love this Aroma 16-in-1 Health Pot. it's well-made, easy to use, and the preset functions make brewing traditional teas and herbal infusions convenient. plus, it's nice to look at. it's built for convenience and multi-use, and it 100% follows through. REASONABLE EXPECTATIONS: if you are looking for a high-end, fancy health pot or kettle, you will not find it in this price range. the presets are generalized rather than ultrafine temperature-engineering for delicate leaves. unlike more expensive health pots, it's NOT going to hold exact temperatures for hours with very little fluctuation. this is a mid-range, great value for households who want a single cooker for lots of uses. not a luxury piece aimed at tea enthusiasts. PRO TIP: it's best not to put tea directly into the pot. always use the tea strainer, as tea leaves can discolor the bottom of the pot as they're heated. always rinse the kettle and it's removable components after use. do not let the used water sit for hours. keep the lid off until the pot is dried. but also do NOT rinse immediately with cold water, as cold may crack and shatter hot glass due to the drastic temp change. if your tea has fine leaves, some will escape through the strainer, so it's best to use a tea bag for these those teas Or pour through a fine mesh strainer instead of pouring directly into your cup. for teas with leaves that drastically expand as they soak, it is best to use a tea bag and hang it from the lid unless you are filling the pot with more than 4 cups of water, as you may find that the leaves do not fully submerge and soak in the strainer. for best tasting tea and upkeep of the pot, it's advised to use filtered water, as minerals/additives and pipe residue from your public water and your faucets can affect the taste of the tea and create build-up in the pot. NEW USERS: the instructions in the booklet may be unintentionally misleading to users who are new to this style of pot, or teas in general. this device is for chinese medicine. when the booklet tells you to boil your tea using the preset settings (like “herbal tea” or “flower tea”), it's referring to traditional chinese or medicinal teas made from dried roots, flowers, or whole herbs. those ingredients are meant to be simmered at high temperatures for a long time to extract their nutrients and flavors. if you’re using western-style tea blends or delicate loose-leaf teas (like green, white, or fruit blends), following those instructions will actually overbrew them and ruin the flavor. those teas should be steeped, not boiled, for a few minutes rather than continuously boiled for 30-40 minutes. once you understand the difference, this pot is incredibly versatile. great for traditional herbal decoctions, soups, and even warming drinks.

The Kettle That Does It All (Except Make Your Bed)
Let me tell you about the Aroma Professional AWK-701 16-in-1 Nutri-Water Kettle in Pink—this thing is basically the Swiss Army knife of kettles. If you’re looking for a way to turn your water-boiling routine into a luxurious experience, then buckle up, because this kettle is here to make your life 100% better. First of all, this kettle does 16 different things. SIXTEEN. I’m just going to say that again: sixteen. It doesn’t just boil water; it empowers water. You can make green tea, fruit tea, flower tea, coffee, instant noodles (because why not), and probably even make your dog a nice cup of chamomile if you wanted to. Okay, maybe not that last one, but it does practically everything else! If this kettle were a person, it would be the MVP of multitasking—probably the most productive item in my kitchen, and that includes the fridge that has never met a salad it didn’t forget about. The 1.5L capacity is perfect for anyone who likes to over-serve at tea time (me, I’m guilty). And let’s talk about Pink—it’s not just a color, it’s an attitude. This kettle is so cute it almost makes me want to invite it to my next party. It’s got a vibe that says, “I’m here to boil your water, but also look fabulous while doing it.” The modern design adds that little pop of color that says, “I’m an adult, but I still enjoy a splash of fun in my life.” The delay timer feature? Pure genius. It’s like having your kettle start the boiling process while you’re still deciding whether you want a hot tea or a cold brew coffee. I love how it works around my schedule instead of the other way around. I’m basically living in the future, folks. And did I mention how fast this thing boils water? Lightning speed. Seriously, I don’t even have time to contemplate my life choices before it’s done. I just blink, and my cup of tea is ready. Bottom line: The Aroma Professional AWK-701 16-in-1 Nutri-Water Kettle is a must-have. It’s versatile, it’s chic, and it’ll save you so much time you’ll think you’ve discovered a new dimension. 10/10, highly recommend! This kettle is a total game-changer and the most fun you can have with hot water.

Five stars, buy it, worth every penny, best tea kettle hands down
OMG! Oh my God! I love my pink tea pot with the infuser. This is the BEST $60! I have EVER spent. This is for serious herbal tea makers not for commercial tea drinkers. Okay boom, herbal tea, takes an hour to boil on the stove, then you have to let it cool, strain, then reheat to consume with little leaves and bark pieces stuck in your tea? Never again! I love my tea pot. It has all these different legit settings. 40 minutes and auto shut off for herbal tea. The infuser is so well made, no loose tea leaking through, the water gets so hot so quickly. Boiling begins in 2-3 minutes, no exaggeration. There is a warm feature, will keep your tea warm through out the day. I drink clove and pau d arco and Black walnut bark. This pot literally sucks all the herbal goodness out those leaves! Tea is rich and black with antioxidants. The pot is so great. I make batches of tea at work to take home at night, I can leave the pot boiling and go to a meeting with complete faith in this device. No fear. It is sleek, top of the line quality. The detachable but sturdy parts make clean up a dream. Remembering not to immerse base in water takes a little getting used to but I treat this pot like a newborn baby because it is so great. The aromatic flavors when making the team are intoxicating. There is a button for fruit tea, I have put fresh orange slices in with cloves. Unbelievable. There is an extra cup for stew and desert but I value my tea pot too much to put food in it. This pot is worth it. The swivel base for picking up the pot hassle free. The rectangular base is so space friendly and aesthetically contemporary. People compliment my pot all the time. I just love it. I really do. I never write amazon reviews but this was so worth it. I wasn't sure if $60 was worth it for an electrical kettle but this is top of the line. Thank you amazon. I'm in love. Having that superior quality cup of tea is the highlight of my DAY!

It had potential, but too many things are wrong with it.
Aesthetically, it looks wonderful and many of the functions work well, but there are other major problems with it. I had to return the first one because Aroma sent me a used one. After getting the second one, the problem that you read the most about here - burnt dots forming on the boiler plate - appeared after about three uses. I decided that I could live with this by just cleaning the metal with diligence after every few uses. When the water boils, the heat comes from a concentrated area on the boiler plate making it the hottest area and so the "burnt" looking spots appear in that location. If they would've just made it so that the heating element gave heat that was more evenly distributed, then there wouldn't be this problem. About a month later, I noticed that one of the two tabs on the top of the lid was getting soft. I said to myself, "I bet that isn't gonna last much longer..." and just a few days later, one of the tabs on the side of the lid completely sprung it's spring and no longer firmly grips, so it falls off now if you don't hold it while pouring. Now, this morning, I get an error warning "E00" on the display and the unit just stops. I was able to turn it on again, but the whole process has to be started from scratch. It's also not a good sign of what may come next. In the end, I'm tired of surprises with this kettle. You can only get so much enjoyment from the aesthetics of something. It's like having an attractive partner who has constant health issues - you want things to work out and try to work around the problems, but, in the end, the game is sometimes just not worth the candle. December 30, 2020: I'm going to have to drop the rating down to 1 star. Last night, I looked in the bottom of the carafe and saw mold forming around the outside of the boiler plate on the bottom. I'm guessing that an amount of water flowed down the outside of the carafe and got under the white covering on the bottom and began to mold - which means that the seal is not good on it. The customer service is good, but even tho they sent me a new one right away (before this latest problem), now I'm thinking of getting my money back. I just can't trust this to work correctly.

Great health kettle
This kettle is very useful. It has so many functions that I can use. I can prepare the soup/tea the night before, set the delay timer and it's ready in the morning. It has 'auto shut off' so it is safe to use. I was considering Buydeem Tea Maker but this one is delay timer and the price is much lower. It is small and it does not take too much space. I have used it more than 10 times and it is still working great. The only thing I don't like is the lid which is very thin and not sturdy.

Love it works great and the price is good too
I love my health pot heats up really quick and can become very hot. Make sure you use the right setting so the water does not evaporate on you. The price is good compared to others I have seen. If you’re on rednote then you know how popular this is. I have prime so the shipping time wasn’t bad. I was just impatient to use it. Also of you have an HSA it can be purchased that way and they have an option for you to break up the payments. I like to use that option with higher pricing. I use Amazon though they don’t tack on interest. It’s very quiet so you should keep an eye on it. It does bro when done. I like that this has a keep warm setting also. It’s a good size as I like tea I get a few cups out of one use. It has a large range of different settings for The different types of tea. It’s durable as well as I have dropped it a couple of times. The size as far as taking up space is good too I wfh so I keep it on my desk I also love that it has a diffuser so the tea leaves aren’t all in my cup. There is another attachment but I have not used it In not quite sure what it’s for I lost the booklet lol but I’ll Google it. The packaging when it came was great it was very well protected. Definitely worth it!

Great kettle.
What I like about this kettle is that it doesn't make much noise when boiling water. I've had some kettles that make so much noise it can't be used at night or it'll wake up people in my house. Not a problem with this kettle though. Another thing is this kettle can be used to make so many different types of drinks and desserts. You can put ginseng or tea directly in the kettle and boil with water. This kettle is easy to use, easy to clean, and has lots of functions. Would recommend.

Great tea maker and much more
I am happy with this purchase. I was eyeing on Buydeem tea maker, but that was too expensive for me. I found this one is $100 cheaper and has the same function. I was worried about the quality of the tea maker since it is a lot cheaper, howeever, it didn't disappointment me. I have tried most of the function to make tea, make soup and bird nest. It is working super good. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

Lis broke twice in less than 3 months
I do like the kettle. However, the lid has broken twice already and I've had it less than 3 months. First time it broke, I emailed the manufacturer for a bit and finally they asked me to send them proof of purchase and told me they're based in U.S. so Amazon would have to help me out, they can't send parts to Canada. I was within the 1 mo th refund period so I returned the kettle to Amazon and bought a new one. The lid on the new kettle broke again but differently. First time the white removable part wouldn't click back onto the bigger part of the lid. This time the very top part came off and can't be snapped back on. It's deformed maybe from the heat of the kettle. But I'm already passed the return date and the manufacturer doesn't ship out of the U.S. You would think a product like this would have warranty. It DOESN'T. So save your money and buy this from a store or brand that would actually help you when something goes wrong.

Unique Kettle
Really great product! I’ve used the kettle 3 different ways and with all the different ‘attachments’. The least favourite was the tea strainer, it did keep the ingredients in the strainer but doesn’t really help bring out the flavour. The little glass jar was handy to ‘dun tong’. It has a small capacity so only enough for 1.5 servings. It’s very handy to set the brew time and not have to worry about it boiling over or running out of water.
