Returned some highly rated lidded ones that were an unmitigated disaster. Yes, something simple like an ice cube tray. Went by the rating and the ratings have let me down yet again. The "food safe rubber" smelled like cheap floor mats, and since when are lids needed on ice cube trays? They caused more problems than helped. I digress. These are nice. No weird cheap rubber smell, first batch came out clean and perfect. Yes, its the simple things. But also, they are more sturdy then the ones so they dont buckle at all when carrying them full of water to the freezer. I think people that are ignoring the fact that if they are truly food grade, you dont want odd smells/odors leeching into you ice and freezer. These do just the opposite of the cheap Chinese crap ones we just got rid of. 5 stars is reserved for quality products.

I got these trays primarily for the purpose of using in an Old Fashioned glass. They worked so well, I'm on my second set, gifting to my other family members. Gone are the days of fighting conventional plastic trays that may crack while twisting or chasing cubes that popped-out unexpectedly and landed on the floor. The silicone makes for easy removal and always as expected; never any pop-goes-the-weasel surprises. And due to the mass and density of these larger cubes, they last much longer. In fact, I can casually get through my entire first cocktail and use the same cube for the second drink. The melt is nice and slow, steady as she goes. Nothing worse than drowning your cocktail with water from the quick melt provided by regular small cubes or the layer the melted water leaves on top if you get a little chatty between sips. I want the flavors of the drink, not the ice. So the trays themselves last longer, as I dare you to tear the silicone. Exact opposite or conventional trays, which are easy to crack/break if one gets a little vigorous on those pesky cubes that refuse to leave. Needn't save these for just cocktails, either. The large cubes work great for batches of ice tea as well. Then you don't have to worry about little ones choking on small, rounded pieces of ice. They're not going to put these hummers in their mouth. After one year of use, I have yet to find any substantial downside.

These glacio ice cube molds make large, slow-melting cubes that are great for whiskey and mixed drinks. The silicone trays are flexible and easy to use, and the cubes pop out without hassle.

Easy to use, easy to clean in the dishwasher. Perfect ice cubes for sipping whiskey. Give at least 24 hours to freeze, maybe a full 48 hours if you set your freezer temperature high or have it packed full of stuff. Once frozen, it may also make sense to put the trays in gallon Zip-lok bags depending on how quickly you use the ice cubes. They can absorb smells in the air just like any other ice cube. Not a problem if you use them in a week or two, but even the cleanest freezer will rub off on ice cubes after about a month of sitting around. Speaking of which, these do not sublimate noticeably. Generally, ice cubes shrink in the freezer due to the defrost cycle taking a little off the top when it warms up above freezing. Given the size of these, I find they last a long while. Best to get to sipping whiskey so that is not a problem. I hear good peated Scotch is best. Allegedly.

Nice mold that makes large cubes of ice. Ice cubes come out easily when pushed from the bottom.

These cubes are great. They work well for your drinks like Old Fashioned, Negroni, etc. Would recommend them.

Liking large ice cubes it was always difficult to find a tray big enough. These trays are great. They need to be put under hot water for about 30 seconds to release them. Other than that they are just what we wanted. Unbreakable trays too. Highly recommended.

Es muy util y fácil de usar, los cubos salen bien y con buena forma (obvio depende de como los llenes de agua). Al ser de gran tamaño tardan mucho más en disolverse, lo que lo hace conveniente si no quieres diluir tanto tu bebida.
