Salad Saver, Green

As cited in other reviews, this cute green salad saver is too small for most sizes of lettuce. I am updating my review because I decided to keep it for spinach. WOW, this product has a tight lid and really keeps our spinach fresh, minimal wilting. And, that's not easy to do with spinach. Would still appreciate a large version for lettuce

I love this HUTZLER product. It is very well made, and the lid is super, as it's semi hard / semi soft. Therefore it is easy to get off. And the bottom half is of nice thickness of plastic. It's c very attractive also. The only thing , I do wish it was a bit bigger, as I tend to buy large heads of lettuce. But for this salad saver, I'll buy smaller heads to keep them fresh. I recommend this item.

It is cute. It rinses out easily (though you have to keep track of the tomato slice in the bottom). That is probably the best I can say for it. I did read in other reviews that it was small, but, I was hoping it would hold more than it does. I use pre-washed and bagged lettuce and salad mixes most of the time. I like to mix various types of lettuce in one salad which means more than one bag is open. Because of this, there is often some leftover that rots if left in the cellophane bags and I was hoping this would hold a substantial amount of leftovers. Not so much. I find that one of my larger plastic containers with a piece of paper towel in the bottom works just as well. Live and learn! At least it wasn't horribly expensive (although I do feel it was a waste of my Amazon Prime points)!

Just so you know. The bowl wont hold an uncut head. But it seems to keep it fresh anyway

Perfect to keep the food fresh. Got two… was supposed to be one for a friend and one for me but… keeping both…Washed, rinsed and stored my vegetables in them. So easy to use… keeps the vegetables fresh… Good quality too, sturdy works great and good price…

This is a very attractive product, but it's verry difficult to handle. Removing the top is challenging...I have to insert my fingernail under the lid because the tab is too small for me to grab. The flat is too small for the container to lay securely...and holding the container is even more challenging. This goes in my "donate" box.

What a great bowl. It keeps my salads fresh for many days! Cute design.

We use this container for fresh spinach and it extends the life of the spinach outside of the store packaging. I love the shape and the novelty as it makes eating healthy less lame (I love veggies, but sometimes it gets boring for me) and helps me to reach for “good” stuff In the fridge. Container is on the smaller side, so we may get another for our other fancy lettuce.

The lettuce seems to rust (go reddy brown) quite easily. I thought it would be better with the built in drainage, but alas not. The container is also unstable and tends to topple over quite easily. Otherwise it is quite a solid peace of plastic.

Put the lettuce in and completely forgot about in in spare fridge , opened it up today weeks later and the lettuce is still fresh!

Es muy bonito práctico es para una lechuga grande cierra muy bien y ahí preparas tu ensalada y luce genial a la hora de comer,conserva muy bien la lechuga ya preparada lo recomiendo .

Belle qualité, cute et pratique. J'étais septique au fait qu'elle se garderait croustillante ma laitue iceberg. Wow!!! Elle est croustillante même après une semaine. Quelle merveille, je suis tellement contente de mon achat. J'avais essayé plusieurs trucs et rien ne fonctionnait, mais là ce produit est vraiment efficace. Je suis très satisfaite et le recommande sans hésiter. Beau cadeau à offrir. Cela vaut le prix. WOW WOW!!!
