Performance Manual Applicator, 08190, 50mL | Steady Application

Excellent gun. Way overpriced.

If you're a full time mechanic or body repairman, you'll need a bigger applicator and larger tubes than this one comes with. If you're not and you need to repair some plastic somewhere, this is for you. I thought this applicator was a little pricey, but it's worth it to only do the job once. Make sure and get some extra nozzles as you'll need a new nozzle for every application. I have used about 6 nozzles on my projects. I used the 3m 38191 nozzles.

This is better than the old applicator I had. If you're using a high grade industrial epoxy like the 3M line, you need this gun and the mixing tubes. Well worth the investment.

The only tool to use if you want to do it right. I wasted a whole tube of epoxy thinking I could rig something up to work. It didnt work and I ended up buying another tube of epoxy and purchasing this. Worked like a charm.

I bought this product along with the 3M scotch weld 1:1 adhesive and the mixing tips that attach to the adhesive package. I was very pleased with how easy this was to use and how solid it seemed to operate. I was able to complete the task of installing new clips onto the metal frame of my car to hold down the side windshield plastic cover that goes between the metal frame and the windshield. It was accurate and dispensed well without issues. I went slow on the dispensing of the epoxy. I knocked this down to a 4 star solely due to the price of this and that I think it is pretty messed up you have to buy a $50-$60 product to dispense the epoxy you have to buy separately. There is no reason I can see why this should cost this much money but you don't have a choice if you want to use the epoxy cartridge. It is a good product, just realize you are being overcharged big time. In my case having the Honda dealer do it would have likely cost me twice as much and I would have the tool so it was still a good deal for me.

Great gun and it can be used with several different types of glues as log as you have the right bars to push the glue out of the tubes, The gun comes with three different bars. Worked well.

3M should be ashamed at the price they are charging for these!!! I have 2 other applicators that purchased together don't cost half of which these do. However 3M has apparently made their two part epoxy 2216 container smaller on one side. This creates a bind when using my other dispensers ( which are identical in construction and materials). So to not deal with that binding issue I had to go with these way overpriced 3M applicator. If your willing to deal with the binding and the 3M containers pushing out of the base then go with the off brand for sure. I also noted that if I slowed my roll a squeezed slower I could use the way cheaper option, but time equals money here. They got a three only because of the price. Hope this helps.
