Drive Medical Folding Bed Wedge, 12 Inch, Blue, Pack of 1

I honestly couldn't live without this bed wedge. I use it pretty much everyday, but not for sleeping. I work on a laptop all day, and this has been an absolute lifesaver for my back and neck. By around 2 p.m. each day, I prop myself up on this wedge, place my laptop on a tilted laptop desk, adjust my adjustable bed to the perfect position, and I'm able to keep working comfortably for several more hours without the usual aches and pains of standing at my normal work desk. The size, shape and firmness are absolutely perfect. I needed something supportive without feeling like I was lying on a rock. Before finding this one, I bought several other wedges that just weren't right. This one is the perfect middle ground, not too firm, not too soft, just incredibly comfortable while still providing excellent support. I have several health issues, and I genuinely wouldn't be able to continue working without it. I bought mine back in 2017, and nearly 10 years later it still looks as good as the day I received it. It has held up incredibly well considering how much I use it. The cover is removable with a zipper, so it's easy to wash. I'm actually still using the original cover! (See photos.) For reference, I purchased the 7-inch version. I do wish the price had not increased quite so much. I'd love to buy a backup. That said, considering mine has lasted nearly a decade of daily use, I'd still say it's worth every penny. 😄 I can't recommend this wedge enough. Useful during a head cold to elevate the head or for reading in bed.

It was perfect for my stay in a hotel. First plus, is that it folds up into a rectangler cube and come with a reusable handled case, perfect for travel. I have since made another case made out of nylon ripstop fabric that is more durable for air travel. The wedge has now restored my ability to travel and stay comfortably at a hotel or for visits with my grandchildren. :-D Let me say that my less than perfect score was, only because, my first night, I used only the wedge to prop me up. I woke up feeling like I was sleeping on a rock hard, concrete wedge. So the second night, I used a couple of the hotel pillows to soften the surface, which was much better. Lumpy, but I did get a good night's sleep! I have arthritis in my lower back due to a old car accident injury, so lying flat has become problematic. At home, my sleep solution was a recliner. I am able, now, to sleep in my own bed, thanks to the wedge. I have since made a cushioned pad, to top to the wedge, which works better than pillows.

Originally I bought this for my husband who had a bad upper respiratory virus. Laying down flat would send him into a coughing fit. This wedge seemed to help and I tried it out myself at one point and just had to buy a second one for me. I often sit on the bed and do things like reading or drawing. But not having a headboard, it can get painful. This wedge helps with that problem tremendously. And if I need extra height I just add a pillow. It helps me when I sleep too. I have sleep apnea and asthma and lying flat, even with a CPAP machine, can make breathing difficult. Using this wedge my breathing is easier and I sleep longer and deeper which is important because I also have insomnia. It's firm but still comfortable and I like how it can fold into a rectangle when needed. For the price it's a great buy. Would definitely recommend!

Good wedge but I ordered the wrong height. 12" height is way to high for me to get comfortable sleeping on this and unfortunately this item cannot be EXCHANGED or RETURNED. The foam itself is great no weird chemical scent & it did not come compressed like other foam wedges or foam anything these days. It is on the firm side so yup, excellent in giving the support needed for leg, back & other things - with that said most people will find the firmness of the foam uncomfortable to sleep on. Great for reading, watching TV etc. Since I cannot exchange this - it's basically useless to me. If you like a supportive very firm foam wedge that does not smell toxic buy it BUT choose very wisely! I should have purchased the 7" wedge.

I initially got this for my Dad who had trouble sleeping due to a hip injury. He didn't like it so I tried to return it - FYI you can't return these! In any case, I'm glad they didn't take it back. Later in the year I had a herniated disk in my back and began laying on it face down so I could do a push up for my back, which has gradually gotten better. If you have back or hip problems, this is a great pillow to have for stretching. I use it every day. I would say it has remained firm even though it takes most of my body weight. It's lightweight and easy to move around.

I have been using this for 2 weeks now. Before getting this Bed Wedge i pilled a bunch of pillows to get my head up. The pillows would slip out and make it hard for me to breath. The Bed Wedge put me at a great sleeping angle. I sleep on my side. Got some of the best sleep in years. Now for the bad news. The Bed Wedge is extremely firm / hard. It took a few night for my body to get use to it and to figure out how high up on the Wedge to sleep. Plus i found if i slept on the edge of the wedge it was not as firm. The Firmness of the Wedge could be a problem for some. I think if you sleep on your back the firmness might not be as noticeable.

This wedge pillow is awesome! I initially bought it because I have mild sleep apnea, and was advised that sleeping on a slight incline might relieve the problem. The wedge is very comfortable to lie on, and it's a great seat back as well; I love to use it while reading. It's very firm and does not compress much. I have a daybed, so it's nice to have the extra support when the bed is in 'couch' mode. It doesn't shift around and the cover washes clean.

I purchased this last minute before my vacation to manage my GERD symptoms while staying in hotels. It surpassed my expectations. It was comfortable, and while it took up 70% of my suitcase, it was light and easy to transport. I had no reflux problems whatsoever on my trip. My only complaint is that the tag says that the foam has been treated with flame retardants, as are many furniture items. I will be purchasing another wedge pillow eventually without the flame retardants as my primary, but for the price, this will do for now, and will serve me well while traveling. I'm not sure if my efforts are in vein, but I removed the foam from the pillowcase, wrapped it in plastic wrap and put the cover back on. Hoping that limits my chemical exposure. Was easy enough to do!

I purchased this for help with acid reflux and sleep apnea. It has proven to be extremely useful. I really like the fact that it folds. It was one of the main reasons I chose it. Serves its purpose well. My complaints - it is very hard. I realize there is a need for it to be firm, but for some reason, it is just much firmer than I was expecting. This has taken some getting used to. The second complaint is the fabric. I'm not sure what it is called, but it is, personally, not the best. Something that wouldn't pill, attract pet hair and snag every little bit of rough skin would be nice. Lol. I had to cover it with a sheet as it makes my skin crawl. Conclusion: Generally satisfied, do not regret purchasing.
