Solid fan that actually does everything I need
This fan was a great buy for me. It’s pretty much perfect for my needs, but I’ll break it down in case some of it matters for you. Assembly wasn’t bad. I had a little struggle getting the front grill on, but I was also distracted at the time. No tools needed, everything comes in the box, and once it’s together it feels snug and doesn’t feel cheap even though it’s all plastic. One thing I'm not quite sure on is disasembly when the fan blade inevitably starts getting dust on it. I hated taking my box fan apart with that, but this hopefully wouldn't be too bad. Power-wise, it works great. I basically live on speed 1 since it sits close to my desk, and even then I can feel airflow across the room. If I move about 10 feet away into the living room I still feel it. I’ve only used speed 2 a couple times and it’s more than enough. I can easily move papers from 10-20 feet away on the second speed. I’ve never even needed speed 3. The oscillation feature is actually useful, not just something you ignore. I use it a lot when I don’t want constant airflow but still want the room to stay moving air-wise. The sweep is roughly 90 degrees and does a good job of covering a wide area. The tilt adjustment is another thing I use more than expected. it goes from straight ahead all the way up to pointing straight up. In winter I’ll angle it upward just to circulate air instead of blowing directly on me. It helps even out temps in the room, especially with cold air settling near the floor on laminate flooring. You can also combine tilt and oscillation to spread airflow without sitting in a direct blast. Another fun thing I'll use the tilt for is aiming it straight up and puting stuff on it to dry. Couldn't do that with my old fox fan too well as it would rub against the fan motor, but I'm not finding that I have that problem here with the curved face. You can even combine tilt and oscillation to cover an even wider area and prevent the fan from blowing directly on you if needed. This really comes in handy with that laminate flooring but yet it's 10-20 degrees outside. Keeps that heat very well distributed preventing cold spots in the house. Height adjustment is straightforward. Lowest setting puts it around 2.5 feet from floor to motor, fully extended is about 4.5 feet. That range makes it easy to adjust depending on whether I’m at my desk or just trying to move air around the room. To adjust there is a little rotation thing that squeezes around the pole. Fairly large and easy enough to grip. Cord is about 6 feet. It works, but I do wish it was longer so I could tuck it away better or have more placement options. Not a dealbreaker, just something I noticed when moving it around. Controls. It's simple as can be. You have a spin dial for controlling speed, and then a little pull knobby thing that turns on/off the oscillation. Noise is good. I work from home with my main job as "call center". On speed 1 it’s quiet enough that nobody hears it, even if it’s pointed right at me. Speed 2 is a bit more noticeable for me but still not enough to interfere with calls or hearing people clearly. The other end still has no idea I have a fan going in the room which is nice. I haven’t really used speed 3. Compared to old box fans and especially metal shop fans, this one is much quieter. Overall: Simple, reliable, and works exactly how a fan should. If you just want something that moves air well and doesn’t get in the way, this is a solid pick.

Great fan but not without issues
I needed to replace my old fan (15 years old, still works, now in the bedroom as my second fan. Hot flashes. IYKYK) and I've owned Lasko fans in the past and never had any issues. Now, I'm a bit particular about my fans. I have bad allergies, so it must be easily taken apart for cleaning and this one fits the bill. It must also have great air flow and the 5 blades make for a noticeable difference in my 20ft long living room with cathedral ceilings. Even on the lowest setting I can see it ruffling the curtains and blinds. It was easy to put together (my years of experience taking apart my fan to clean it finally came in handy!) and in no more than 8 or 10 minutes, had it up and running. If only everything was that easy! But remember when I said it was not without issues? There are a few small issues, but nothing serious. The stand is supposed to seat itself securely in the base with a strong push and a few clockwise turns. Unfortunately, my base doesn't appear to have anything to hold the stand securely and while it is steady when still, if it has to be moved, it comes apart. Not a deal breaker as I really only move it twice a year - out of the closet in the spring, into the closet in the fall - , but a little annoying; although now that I think about it, it'll be snap to take it apart for storage as winter comes! Look at that, not an issue after all! Last, the noise - I read a lot of reviews who said the fan was too noisy for them, so here's my observation. In the video, the fan is set to the lowest setting, and while there is a hum, I don't think it's louder than any other fan I have owned but fans are one of the few sounds my ADHD brain can filter out. So if you're bothered by a mechanical hum, just be warned. But if you're not bothered by it and you're just looking for a great oscillating fan to push air around your lonely hovel, this is a good buy.

Super fan, but perhaps not for everyone
This fan was a great buy. It's nearly perfect for my own needs, but I'll list its qualities just in case some of them might not work so well for you. It wasn't difficult to assemble. The hardest part was getting the front cage to snap on properly, but even that only took a few tries. And since the cage just hooks together rather than needing screws, popping it off to clean the blade will be a breeze. (Although, there's not much of a hook to those hooks, so I don't plan to pop the cage off any more than I absolutely have to. If those hooks wear down or break, then that's that.) Also, all you need to put it together is your own two hands. No tools needed. It's very powerful. It moves a great deal of air, even on low (I haven't gone past medium yet; I'm afraid it might blow the cat across the room on high!), which is a relief. For two weeks when my A/C was out, I needed a fan that could cool me off even though the air it was moving was hot and humid. This fan blows with such force that even warm air movement is refreshing. And its force means you can set it at a fair distance and still feel it, but it's also strong enough to blow papers and stuff around if they're in the fan's path, even when they aren't particularly close to it. The oscillator has a wide swing to it, about 90 degrees, which I suppose could either be a negative or a positive. If you want it to swing but still stay relatively contained at a small angle, you may not care for this. On the other hand, it's perfect when you have a small area of cool air (like a new portable a/c with a fairly puny blower) and want to distribute it far and wide. The cord is fairly short—rather shorter than I would've liked, honestly. I didn't measure it, but I'd guess it to be maybe 6 feet. That could be a problem if you want to use it in a place without an outlet handy, but a cheap extension cord solved that problem for me. (Incidentally, there is no grounding prong on the plug, so you can use a 2-hole extension cord if necessary.) The pole has a decent amount of extension to it; I'd say you can adjust the height by about a foot and a half. At its tallest, from base to motor is (again, this is an estimate) probably 4-1/2 feet. This makes it pretty versatile; you can stand it on the floor or shorten it and put it on a (large) table. At full length, though, that also makes it a bit top-heavy. It's fine if you leave it alone, but the cat knocked it over when I first put it together and now he's scared of it. It's loud. Even on low it's pretty loud, compared to what I remember my last box fan sounding like. It doesn't bother me at all, but if you're someone looking for a fan for your bedroom, and you need quiet to sleep, you probably won't like this. Seriously, I have a hard time imagining a fan with this small a footprint with as much power as this one has. I wish the cord were a bit longer, like I said, but that's really my only complaint. When the air conditioner died, it was a real lifesaver!

Fan works GREAT! Assembly instructions needs improvement.
The fan works great! Not bad for the price. My only complaint is that the instructions were just a picture of the rear grille, nut, blade, spinner, and front grill to be fitted together. A couple of words directing to screw the nut into the rear grille and head assembly together before attaching the blade and screwing in the spinner would have saved some grief. The 1st time I assembled it based on the picture, the fan let out this loud flapping sound with the nut hanging off inside. Then it stopped working. This was described in a couple other customer's reviews. So, I took it apart and started looking at the pieces closely and realized I needed to screw the nut into the rear grille attached to the head assembly before everything else. Then it worked perfectly. I hope this helps the next person that runs into this problem. It's a great fan so far. Not the best manual instructions though.

Good product and a good price.
Great fan. I've purchased several over the years and the price keeps going up like everything else, but it's still a very good deal. It's not to loud and moves a decent amount of air.

Air movement is great, construction is poor.
Honestly a let down. I bought these because they were a good price and Lasko is a brand I know and have had many fans from. I bought two of these trusting that I was getting good quality and that is not what I got. Both have issues with the front grid of the fan, usually there are clips that will hold it place so it doesn’t end up falling off and you have blades just spinning freely, but there are no clips, they feel like they just kinda sit there, it’s not even a snap in kinda deal, they just sit there. If a toddler went up and pulled on it they would come right off. One in particular is just holding on by the bottom, the top isn’t even touching it’s just floating. That same one makes a horrendous noise while running, it’s sounds like when you put a card in your bicycle spoke, it has quieted down with some use but it’s still there. The only redeeming quality is the amount of air they move, we bought a much more expensive fan a few years ago and needed a new one for our plant seedlings. We ended up putting this one in the bed room because the slowest setting was stronger than our old fans highest setting. Also no weird buttons with features we won’t ever use, just a turn knob for the speed and a pull lever for oscillation. I wish I could rate it better but the front grill construction is horrible and pretty dangerous. 3 stars for the air movement alone.

Lasko Pedestal Fan
The fan has a good quality motor and pushes good air in one room when it's hot indoors .. The fan should maybe push a little stronger air but is still good quality for the price .. The only bad thing about this fan is that the long bar on the stand does not stay up and in place when tightened to the desired height and keeps sliding down whole in use and has to constantly be readjusted .. If these issues could be fixed the fan would be of really good quality .. Overall Lasko is known for good quality products but this particular fan could be better

Great fan for the money
We've been really happy with the fan. It has good temperature settings, it's easily adjustable and the quality seems solid.

Good fan
I was initially skeptical because the blades seemed a bit flimsy but it has turned out to be a great fan. I've had a small Lasko heater for years and it still works great which is the reason I went with the fan. It's a bit more noisy than I'd like but it performs great. When the time is hot and humid and feels like 40 degrees C, it works great to cool down the room. I am pleased with my purchase.

Excelente

Great Amazon Find
I bought this before the weather started to warm up because last summer the fans on Amazon sold out fast. It seemed the only ones available in July and August 2020, were ones above the price of $125. I bought this fan because the Amazon reviews were decent and the price was fair. It is quite big, 18" is quite large. But it is nice because it gives a nice breeze on the first setting (and others). It cools well. I do like this fan quite a bit. It does have a "white noise" effect so if you are into that, this fan is for you! If not, maybe look elsewhere. Overall, the assembly was easy. I did not need any tools and I was able to assemble using my hands (I have a weak grip imo), so that was nice because I like to assemble things myself, rather than my fiance. It appears to be sturdy too and I hope this lasts for many years to come. My only quip with this is the price. I recently found out (after a couple months of having this), that Canadian Tire has sturdy oscillating fans of a similar style for only $20!! This is June 1, 2021 by the way. So I am a bit disappointed at the price here. But oh well, other than that, I think this is a fine fan :)
