Excellent investment
This little brooder as worked out very well for our aviary. It's good at maintaining a constant temperature. We use a cup of water to increase humidity, and that works well, but I do wish it was designed with a humidifier as well. Super easy to clean. Very portable. It's paid for itself over and over again.

Works as expected
Works as expected but make sure to check the corner cardboard packaging before you toss it out because the power cord is hidden inside one of the corner cardboard inserts. Don’t make the same mistake I did and toss the cardboard out.

Probe can be chewed off by babies.
Poorly designed. Temperature probably hangs down and is not protected from birds. Mine has been chewed off twice and they want 99.00 to send a replacement control board. Should have been designed with a metal cage around the probe to prevent access to larger babies.

Lifesaver for our hedgehog
We used this incubator to keep our elderly hedgehog warm while he was going through a rough patch. The incubator is wonderfully portable, and now that our hedgehog is doing better, we still use this incubator for quick overnight trips when we can't bring a larger enclosure. The car charger works flawlessly, and we've had the incubator constantly on (in case of emergency) for months now without any issues whatsoever.

This is a great product I wish it was a little bit bigger but when I originally bought at the Animal, I need to put in it at the time was small but after seeing how great of a product it was, I wish I would’ve gotten a little bit bigger one

Unhealthy Air Circulation a Concern for Young Parrots
I recently purchased the Brinsea Products TLC-30 Advance Brooder Intensive Care Unit for my young parrot, hoping to provide it with a safe and comfortable environment. However, I was disappointed to find that this brooder constantly blows air inside the machine, creating excessive air circulation that can be detrimental to the health of my baby parrot. One of the primary concerns with this brooder is the lack of control over the airflow. The constant blowing of air can create a drafty and turbulent environment, leading to discomfort and stress for young birds. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts to adjust the settings, I was unable to find a way to minimize or redirect the airflow effectively. Moreover, this excessive air circulation poses a significant risk to the respiratory health of my parrot. Birds, especially young ones, are highly sensitive to changes in temperature and air quality. The constant exposure to forced airflow can lead to respiratory problems, such as irritation, coughing, and even respiratory infections. Regrettably, my parrot fell ill shortly after being exposed to the brooder's uncontrolled air circulation, which further confirms my concerns. Additionally, the noise produced by the constant airflow is another issue to consider. The noise level generated by the brooder's fan is quite noticeable and can potentially disturb the bird's sleep and overall well-being. While it is crucial to maintain a suitable temperature inside the brooder, the noise level should be taken into account to ensure a calm and stress-free environment for young, sick, or injured birds. On a positive note, the Brinsea Products TLC-30 Advance Brooder does offer other valuable features, such as temperature control, humidity adjustment, and easy cleaning options. These features contribute to maintaining a suitable overall environment for avian care. However, the persistent and uncontrolled air circulation undermines these positive aspects, making it difficult to recommend this brooder for young parrots specifically. In conclusion, the Brinsea Products TLC-30 Advance Brooder Intensive Care Unit falls short in providing a healthy and optimal environment for young parrots. The constant blowing of air inside the machine creates excessive air circulation that can negatively impact the respiratory health of birds. While the brooder offers other useful features, the lack of control over airflow is a significant drawback that needs to be addressed. I would caution potential buyers, especially those with young or sensitive birds, to consider alternative options that prioritize a balanced and controlled environment for their avian companions.
