This colorful 32-page book offers a collection of fun, easy-to-use detective cases for Grades 4 โ 12+. Some cases may be more challenging for younger students, but teachers and parents can always provide hints when needed. The cases develop critical thinking skills by requiring students to read carefully and analyze and synthesize information to guide their decision-making. The cases also develop observation skills, reading comprehension, deductive and inductive thinking skills. The ability to identify and evaluate evidence is the very heart of critical thinking. Review: Fun for Everyone - My students and administrators love it. The kids had fun with finding the thief. My administrators approved the use of this book because it requires the kids to justify their answers. Review: My son loves this - These mysteries make problem solving fun and don't take too long so they are easy to fit in with other school work. I have always been pleased with books from The Critical Thinking Co.

Three Stars
Clever but not for the older age groups. Its more middle school and below.

Misprinted and confusing
This critical thinking book uses process of elimination with every scenario. However, not something I would recommend to others. Also page 10 has an error with the answer page in the back. The names are mixed up Tony/Tim. I just found it to be poorly thought out and answers poorly explained.

Fun and different
Fun for the class. A little redundant.

every story is about thieves
Fine if this is what you want your kid to focus on but a mix of stories about different types of scenarios would have been more well rounded.
