Can these be used in a sonic bath?

Yes. I used this with Hangsun ultrasonic denture cleaner, my braces are noticeably cleaner.

Would this work as well with cold water? I was advised by my orthodontist not to use warm water as it melts the plastic out of shape

Can these be used to clean Blocks?

Don't see why not! They're ok for things to gin the mouth, cannot be too harmful.
