Rugged Ridge CB Radio Dash Mount Bracket for Jeep Wrangler TJ/LJ | Steel, Black | 13551.09 | Fits 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ/LJ

Installed this with a Uniden PRO520XL CB Radio. Absolutely no issues with fitment between the door/dash/windshield and no issue with the 520 fitting in the space provided (the bracket the 520 comes with fits right in this mount). This is one of easiest installs (the entire CB install) I have done on my 03 TJ. This kit also came with a CB handmike mount (that really isn't in the description) that fits between the steering column and radio/center console. That was a nice surprise as it is good quality and mounts perfectly with a simple OEM screw removal. Someone mentioned in a review that they wouldn't install the handmike because it would hit their right knee...I'm 6'2" and in actual practice, this is a non issue. I installed the antenna mount (Teraflex passenger rear brake light mount--http://amzn.com/B006D9W29Y ) on the right rear and the added bonus is that I had only about a foot of extra coax (18') after routing everything from the CB to antenna. I took the coax across the dash (under the vent cover that runs the length of the dashboard) to the right front pillar (comes off easily with 4 screws including the passenger visor mount), went inside the roll bar cover to the rear of the passenger seat, down the vertical rollbar until I hit the right rear carpet (pulls away / reinstalls easily) until I got to the right rear of the vehicle. Once here, I installed the other end of the coax into the antenna (runs over top of the tailgate on the right side perfectly) and then took the extra foot or so of coax and pushed it down further between the carpet and right rear wheel well. Reinstalled the carpet and that was it. The coax is hidden the entire time until it pops out of the carpet and over the tailgate to the antenna too.

I looked at all the possibly locations for a CB Radio in my Jeep before buying this bracket and it always looked liked it was going to end up with me drilling a hole. This product comes as a god send to those who absolutely hate drilling holes in their jeep. It uses existing screws to mount the bracket in place, and generally does zero damage to your jeep. Strong material, and makes the radio look like it's supposed to be there, instead of slapped on. The location is also the best spot in my opinion to place a CB Radio. Only problem I had was that the Holder for the Speaking device wouldn't let me put in the original screw as it was too short, nor the one that came with the item as it did not have the correct threading. I simply went to a hardware store and compared screws until I found a longer one.

As stated in other reviews it is too short. It hits the instrument panel cluster bump and sets out towards the door by about a quarter of an inch. If it was taller it would work. I will modify it and use it. But it is a shame that it’s a poor design.

Chunk of heavy metal (steel). Sorta of confusing on which screws to use to mount. Takes 10 mins to mount. Seems to work just fine. Heavy for sure, aluminum would be much nicer but probably twice the cost. Must use a small CB or it will not fit. Would probably buy again

Yes there is a gap between the mount and the dash, but the jeep dash isn't a perfect 90 degree so why do you expect. It comes with no mounting hardware like the picture showes but your cb should come with it. The mount looks good and fit my small cobra CB perfect. If you have a tj jeep this is a cool mount. Took me under 10 minutes to mount. Running the CB wire took the longest time

It's ok. It doesn't fit properly, and it would have been super easy for them to modify it to fit correctly. Not sure if I'm gonna modify it or just deal with the fact that it sits at an angle and rubs against the side of the dash.

Great little product. I didn’t use it for a CB (a mounted CB with roof and doors off is going to walk). I used it instead to mount the winch controller.

I looked for a long time for a place to mount my CB in my TJ that was out of the way and still looked good. This mount is perfect! It bolts up to factory holes. The radio seemed to sit a little unlevel, so I added an extra washer to one side. Just my ocd kicking in. I was a little leary of the Rugged Ridge name, but this product worked out great!
