Finger and thumb prints are turned into an array of animals through the addition of simple illustration and photographs in this innovative Alphaprints: 123 book, which has been designed to develop children's counting and number recognition skills. The imaginative, rhythmic text is fun to read and listen to, and the individual ridges on all of the finger and thumb prints are embossed, adding a tactile, interactive element. Review: The Best Books! - I have a 10 month old, and this is the second fingerprint book Iโve purchased. They are well made and just so creatively cute! We learned to count from this book
We love this board book so much that I bought this latest copy as a gift for a baby nephew. Itโs sturdy and has engaging pictures, and helped both my kids learn to count as toddlers. My daughter who is 4 still enjoys reading it before bed. One of the best kids books Iโve purchased over the years!

which is nice, completely unexpected from the price I paid
When I ordered this, I was unaware of the reason it's called Alpha"prints". All the animals featured in the book are made using a finger print. Each finger print is textured and my 2.5 year old son really enjoys running his fingers over them. It's a LARGE book, which is nice, completely unexpected from the price I paid. Turns out there are other books in the series. I think it's very cute and imaginative that they not only use fingerprints, but also other everyday objects to create the animals. If you look on the cover you'll notice the birds beaks are actually leaves and they're perched on a watermelon. Turtle shells are actually bowls and other such things. It's really cute and I would highly recommend.

Sturdy and colorful
Our 2 and 1 year old both love this book. Our 2 year old is learning to count and this is his top book he pulls out to read. Brightly colored and thicker pages which makes is great with how rough kids are.

Great book!
I love this series, and this is a great book! It counts up to ten, and each page has the corresponding number of a certain animal with two descriptive sentences. I love how creative this series is in using fingerprints and everyday objects to make the animals. We also have the Alphaprints: ABC book. I was pleased to discover that there is only one duplicate animal between the two books. If you already have the ABC book, I would still recommend this one!

Creative illustrations and big bold colours
I bought this for my 16 month old daughter after being impressed with the Alphaprints ABC book. We love the bright colours (made even more bold as the images are set against a white background) and we love that each animal uses a textured fingerprint as its base and is then decorated with food, leaves, and other objects (see picture attached). The book counts up from 1 to 10 and the accompanying descriptions are short and snappy so they remain engaging. I also bought the Colours book at the same time and itโs just as beautifully and imaginatively illustrated.

Favourite book
My kid just loves this book. The rhythm and rhyme is good. I swear I read it to him at least 10 times a day so this is how we count to ten as I have memorised it.
