Are the Straps wAterproof?

Not sure why they’d need to be lol They’re like every other strap on any other dry bag.

What size backpack should you get if you plan on using it for school? I would have to fit my 17 in laptop which is in there majority of the time.

35L. Limited interior pockets. Pretty much just open space. I place my laptop in a zippered neoprene sleeve for transport.

Are the zips nylon? Will they rust after contact with salt water?

Hi and thank you for your question. BackSåk's zipper pocket features a nylon splash proof zipper, which will not rust. We do recommend cleaning the bag with fresh water after being exposed to salt conditions to remove any salt build up, this can be done by simply hosing the bag off and letting it hang dry.I hope this information was helpful!
