Great idea

We purchased this item because it was suggested as an additional purchase when we bought our patio umbrella. The reviews were good and the price was great, so we gave it a shot. Really glad we did. It was easy to put on the umbrella and it adds quite a bit of light. There are three settings, so the amount of light can be controlled to your taste. It takes 4 AA batteries and I loved that a screwdriver wasn't necessary. There are really no instructions on how to open the unit. It has a latch that looks like it will slide to open, but it doesn't slide. You need to carefully pull up the small latch to unhinge the circular unit, so it can open up and be "wrapped" around the umbrella pole. Happy with our purchase.

I e-mailed the manufacturer and received a speedy reply that they would send me a new one... AND an additional free one as a gift! Wow- talk about great customer service, quick and generous! Well, I have 3 of these. The first one I bought stopped working (tried changing the batteries and there is no rust so it wasn't from being left out in the rain). I bought two more because these light up my patio/yard really nice under the umbrellas. So far the other 2 have been working fine. I don't use them a lot because right now because it has been cold at night, but they are super easy to take on and off.

Love this little light! Its 3 levels are perfect for sitting under on a quiet night. The adjuster is easy to use. Takes 4 AA batteries, I’m not sure if I read that anywhere. I’d buy this again.

I like the design and function. The power switch toggles to light just the inner set of LEDs, press again for just the right of LEDs, and press again for all LEDs on. When the light was brand new it was great. This is the second year/ season since the purchase. The battery contact in the compartment took on oxidation in the first season even though I didn’t leave it outside often, though a few nights found it left under the closed umbrella. Now in the second year the light malfunctioned, came on very dim or flashing intermittently after installing new batteries. I took the light apart, simply curious, to find cheap subpar wiring. The wire connecting the batteries through the hinge is fragile and too short. Open and closing of the light stresses the wire and I found mine broken off the contact. I replaced and upgraded the cheap wire and fixed the light. It took more time than the light is worth, but it’s back online for now. If you want a reliable light to go for more than one season, seek one with higher quality.

I have only had it for a couple of weeks so can't speak to durability but this light works well and is just what I was looking for. It gives enough light for people around a 10 chair outdoor table to easily see each other and what's on the table without being either blinding or too dim. It's also easy to put on since it opens and then locks, and the tension is enough to hold it in place. Great light at a good price!

Awesome very bright works

Was skeptical at first but turns out to be a really good lighting. Well design, solid and can fit most umbrella. Highly recommended

Light the scene! Perfect for evenings and nights at the table under the umbrella. We purchased so we could play cards, have dinner with a drink at the table underneath the umbrella at night. Its just wonderful. Easy to install, and the different brightness settings are a bonus.

Comprato per non dover mettere fili volanti con lampadine appese, nella speranza che facesse una luca almeno sufficiente, invece ho dovuto ricredermi...! Alla intensità media produce una luce più che sufficiente ad illuminare bene durante una cena, anche in tardo orario a ormai buio più che inoltrato. Unica incognita, vedremo la durata delle pile... Ottimo acquisto, consigliato!
