SS-Y-5392 Egyptian Bastet Collectible Figurine

First of all... Let me just say that this thang is... DROP. DEAD. GORGEOUS. I mean, it was way better than the picture - from detail to the statue itself. Like-WHAT THE LITERAL HECK. I just needed this for a school project, I needed it to go on top of a small bast temple I had made. People are saying this was too small, but in my case, it's perfect. It won't break the temple!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY! WOO HOOOOOO. It is great for many purposes as well. Maybe, you could use it as a cake decoration, a project, room decor, or even as a gift to cat lovers!!!! ------------------------- okay, right now I am finna give some ratings... let me give my 2 cent CUTENESSKSKS: 100/100 Don't ask why I'm using a 100 point scale. The scales will differ based on, based on, based on, OKAY FINE, I'll admit it the scales won't be differed based on anything, SO JUST DEAL WITH IT. -------------------------------------------- Multipurpose: A+ LIKE I SAID YOU CAN USE IT FOR ANYTHING LIKE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA -------------------------------------------- Worshipablity: I don't think that will work... ok, I'm just gonna stop there before I catch a lawsuit -------------------------------------------- Detail: HAH it had more detail than the bruise on my face after my cousin Karen through that shoe at me. Although, the hieroglyphics on the bottom could use some help. -------------------------------------------- Playability: 0.5/5 no -------------------------------------------- Delivery: YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY = 100000/1 AAAAAAAAAAAAA it delivered it to me in LESS than 24 HOURS!!!!!! I was so excited when I got home today to open the package that I tracked the package online, it said I was the next stop-like WOOP WOOP!!! I ran like Sonic ( the good version) to the leasing office without stopping, and when I say without stopping, I mean without stopping. I did not stop, not for anything. There could have been Barney the Dinosaur and I wouldn't stop, It could have been Keanu Reeves, It could have been Billie Eilish for all I care. I DID NOT STOP RUNNING. When I got through the door to the leasing office, I was like "I got me a package so u gon' give it to me or I will take your kazoo from you" well no, I was just like, you know, you get the point. okay. I got the package and zoomed out of there - faster than how you run when it's black Friday, faster than when you're mom is holding a sandal and looking at you - I RAN LIKE HELLLLLLLLL, up the hill and back into my apartment, yodling the whole time. I opened it, danced like a little kid who just got a Nintendo, and wrote this review. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk. You'll see me on broadway.

This bastet figurine is adorable! Of course the paint job isn't perfect but it is quite nice. It arrived securely packed in a plastic bag inside of a foam box with lid inside the beautiful outer box with Egyptian pictures on it. Has good weight to it. Perfect for my shelf. I am thinking of gluing on some small gemstones that I have from broken jewelry to make it extra special.

This statuette is very nice. It came as described and looks just like the picture and the dimensions that are advertised are spot on. No chips, to gold wearing off. It's high quality and pretty sweet looking. I think it is made in China, though, but what isn't these days. If you are owned by a cat or have a cat God or Goddess... this item really reflects your love for them. I got this because I love Egyptology and Bastet, Baast, Ubaste, Baset or whatever name you wish to call her.

I bought this along with the Ebros, and though they were the same price, this statue was 5" and the other 3". But they still look good together, almost like an adult cat and kitten. The boxes they each came in was the same Egyptian Collection and were well packed and arrived promptly and in good condition. I thought some of the other statues had odd muzzles and made the cats face look weird, but was happy to see that this was well represented in the picture and is quite cute. I think this is very good for the price.

SS-Y-5392 Egyptian Bastet Collectible Figurine This little Bastet looks quite regal amongst several other Egyptian themed items. She's a perfect side for an alter or your desktop at work heh. I knocked off a star. Could have been two stars but I'd like to hang on one.... moving right along Number One: After removing the very nicely packaged item, I was excited. The words on the colorful box stated ;Part of the IForgetNowOops Collection. The interior styrofoam was fitted perfectly to the figurine to stop any possible damage. Usually a good sign! Then I removed the Egyptian Bast Collectible from her retail packaging and thought... hmmmmm. there's something kinda strange. Those are NOT real hieroglyphics, or even close to trying at it, around the base. While the colorful gold paint was applied very well, and the black of the cat was a wonderful shade that set off the gold, it wasn't museum gift shop quality. This little Bastet is far better than a figurine you'd find at Big Lots, Wally World, or the local chatzky shop. She's priced right at $10.00 during Cyber Week. Yet, I was afraid to turn the poor kitty over. I knew what it would Say! No n no! Drawing upon the power of Bastet Herself I slowly turned the piece and looked at the bottom. The sticker was there.Oh dear Goddess. Number Two: Made In China. I was right about the psuedo-glyphs and paint work. Damn,, now I can't even bathe her!

Really satisfied. I forgot I already had one. The more the merrier.

This lovely sculpture is everything it's advertised to be. The size is perfect to sit on your desk in the office or on a bedroom dresser. The gold color details are vibrant and stand out. It is very detailed and expertly painted. It's a beautiful piece of art and I will be buying more from this company. Would definitely recommend. I am SO HAPPY with this figurine!!

I like this product when explaining the history and anatomy of feline species to the kids. teenager and adults. I saw the originals in the British Science Museum in London, UK when I was a student at the London University but could not afford the pay for the sculpture of these cats - i.e black cat. Now I have the subject much smaller than the original size in the BSM. but will do as it is well made . It is really ancient work of art which is old at least 10 000 years ago.

It is beautiful statue of the great godess Bastet. Something magical happended to me. A cat was missing and I couldn't find where he was, worried sick. Then I learnt about her eventually, ordered this figure and prayed to Bastet, she brought my kitty back before the statue was shipped!!! It's crazy. She is really kind and looks out for the cats in your home. If you have cats I highly recommend you to get one, she will be your guardian :)
