Crystal Growing Kit

Despite the picture, be advised that you will only receive one little kit...and i mean little! The item itself is good enough, but it was meant as a birthday gift...had I known that it was just one little item I would have ordered something different.

This is...fine. It's underwhelming, but all of the crystal growing kits are the same. It did grow crystals and it happened quickly. My daughter was happy. It's EXTREMELY small, which I knew before I bought it so I wasn't disappointed. It has two rocks in it and each one is about the size of my thumbnail. TINY. Just be aware. The truth is that all of these kits are underwhelming compared to the pictures, so this one is at a good price point for a kid who is dazzled by the pictures and just really, really wants to try this.

If you think you're going to see these crystals with the naked eye, think again. Maybe you can see them with a microscope but we don't have one. You can can get the same effect from putting colored salt water in a pan and letting it dry out.

Fun option for a stocking stuffer.

Bright colors, quick chemical reaction. The volcanic action fun to watch and now sits on kids bookshelf to proudly display.

I ordered this for my 8 year old and we followed all the directions and it didn't grow anything that looked like the picture on the box. There was just a little bit of crystal on the rock. There is also only one package that comes in the mail not three like it is pictured.
