This Trickler has proven to be an excellent addition to my bench. There are a few calibers I load that require extreme precision and this has made the job much easier and safer. The weighted base keeps this Trickler very stable and it is perfect to walk up a load to the exact recipe. It appears to be cast aluminum in construction... no doubt this will be long-lasting/durable. Worth the price.

First off this does not come with a allen wrench to tighten the powder drop extension or weighted base which is disappointing. Assembly is very easy and simple. Once the product is assembled it takes quite a few spins to get it going. Once primed the powder drops easily both flake and stick were tried. Cleaning is simple, just remove the oring off the tube and shake out any powder that remains. Since the weighted base made the trickler to tall I ended up filling the bottom with lead since it slightly wobbled on my bench. Another thing is it appears to be made from aluminum so no worries about static clean like with a plastic trickler or corrosion issues. Turned out to be another great product from rcbs

I took some time to study the various tricklers in this class. While I believe they all have limitations, the RCBS had the least. Pros: - Weighted Base: Not your average weighted base; this one will stay still. - Angle Option: You have the ability to adjust the angle of the trickler, if needed. - Nozzle Extender: If needed, you can extend the reach of the nozzle. - Fine Touch: While not perfect, it does allow you to get down to 1-2 pieces at a time. Cons: - Like others, "stick" powder (vs. ball) can jam the mechanism on occasion. A little extra umph on the turn breaks it free, but could cause you to drop more grains than expected. - Prime Time: It took a bit to get enough powder in the extended nozzle to start trickling. Not really a con, but worth mentioning that you need to be patient. I used it to load .300 WM cartridges with H4350, RL19, and IMR4350. All worked fine. This is a great little unit!

The RCBS Powder Trickler allows a reloader to accurately meter exact powder loads into the scale pan. Pros: It has a weighted, heavy base to keep it from being knocked over by a bump. It comes with an extension tube so that it can reach nearly any powder scale set up. Allows the addition of powder on the scale to reach an exact powder load, which enhances accuracy through powder load uniformity. Being made of aluminum, it doesn't tarnish and can be washed with hot water and dried when changing powders being run through it. Cons: This is a minor complaint. The auger is kept in place by pieces of plastic and the knob is also plastic I wish the auger was held in place by metal spring clips and that the knob was slightly larger and made of aluminum.
