Quality at a good price
Bought this a couple years ago, but have only had the chance to use it a couple times. It works great, but the winters haven't been cold enough to freeze the lakes near me since I got it. So at my house we joke that my ice auger is behind global warming.

Works great and good quality.
This worked really well and was pretty easy to get through about 8" of ice. Later in the season we had about 20+ inches and this was a chore. If you're just pan fishing, I would recommend getting a 6" instead and save your arm. I did make a drill attachment and that made using this substantially easier. I didn't get one of the attachments you can buy on here because if they fall out of your drill, down through the hole they go. I made one out of rebar and welded a nut driving bit to the end, then attached a small board perpendicular to the rebar so if it drops out, the board will catch it. The very first hole I drilled the bit came out as I was pulling the auger back up and I just watched it fall and the board stopped it perfectly.

Highly recommend this paired with a drill over a gas auger.
I ditched the hand auger and purchased the drill attachment for my 18v drill and this thing rips through the ice. I highly recommend this over a gas ice auger. Ive drilled approximately 30 holes and the blades are still razor sharp. Im sure the hand auger works great but I was looking for quicker holes and more time fishing. The fitment is great and it looks and feels like the name brands.

Very impressed with this auger
I am very impressed with this ice auger. The first weekend after it arrived I had it out on the ice and drilled about 5 holes with it. It dug right through without a hitch, and I was impressed with how little effort it took. 2 of the other guys who were with me actually stopped using their own augers and started borrowing mine, and this became the group favorite. All together it drilled more than a dozen holes through foot and a half ice without any issues. My one complaint is that the item was damaged on arrival. It was a return, which I knew, but the damage was pretty substantial. The auger had a very noticeable bend to it on the shaft, so it drills at an angle. It's a minor complaint, though, because it still drills straight down without any issues, it just makes a hole that is a bit bigger around than normal. I was actually MORE impressed with this due to the damage, since it worked so well despite the obvious problem. Overall I highly recommend this product, new or used.

Good item
These work been around for a long time. Ok for use in PA we don't get ice like we use if any.

Very happy, great buy!!!
I was going initially worried about using a hand auger. This ripped through 8” of ice in about 45 seconds with minimal effort. The auger did all of the work. I watched other people with bulky gas and battery powered augers that looked like more of an effort to lug around and didn’t go through the ice any faster. This is a great buy.

Drills a very clean hole... quickly.
This auger is very well made and will cut through a foot of ice in under a minute. The blades are incredibly sharp and you need to be very careful when handling this auger. Use the included blade guard and realize in only installs in one direction. I read reviews where people said the blades came loose. Mine were tight but... I did put blue thread locker on the threads and re tightened them so this wouldn’t be an issue. This is the only ice auger I’ve ever used, but I noticed dozens of other anglers using the same one out on the lake. Buy it and you won’t be disappointed.

it's pretty strait forward
It makes quick work of even the thickest ice with very little effort. You'll definitely want to keep the blade guard on when not in use, but other than that, it's pretty strait forward. I prefer this over a power auger because it will warm you up and get the blood flowing on the bitter cold days. Sorry for the wind in the video. Note: I don't give five stars very often. It's really quite a simple product that is well build and works better than I thought it would.
