Worked great! I was unable to find any floor switches at the Big Box hardware stores, so thanks, Amazon, for coming through on this…and thanks to the manufacturer for providing a UL Listed product for safety!

Easy to install once you figure it out. Just follow the included diagram. It’s not high quality, but you get 3 for the price of what one would cost at your local home store. So great value. I Installed 2 of the 3. Attaching the wire to the switch housing seems flimsy. The exposed wire sits, but isn’t fastened to the internal housing. No screws to tighten, simply relies on the torsion from bending the wire to maintain contact. Wasn’t sure it was going to work, but does. The switch I did replace, had screws to secure the wire to the switch contacts. Had to replace one of those because someone dropped a heavy object on one and the other was adding the floor switch and removing the knob at the light bulb. As long as it works, I guess I’ll be happy. Just seems to lend itself to needing to be re-attach in the future.

This is just what I needed for a floor lamp whose turn switch had worn out. HOWEVER, this step-on switch is a major pain to install. The reason is that it is very light weight and won't stay put while trying to get the wires around the switch. Plus, the holes where the lamp wire go in and out of the switch are just too small for the lamp wire. Once assembled (I can't tell you how long I struggled with this to get it assembled) it works perfectly well, but the assembly was very frustrating. And, now I have one more to do --not looking forward to it.

We have a floor lamp that curves over a piano and the switch is in a hard-to-reach place. I added one of these foot switches inline with the existing power cord and it works fine. Others have noted that the leads from the wire are just inserted into the switch unit, which is true. My lamp cord is stranded wire instead of solid wire, so I just twirled the strands with my fingers until they were stiff enough to be inserted into the switch. If that hadn't worked I would have just added a dab of solder to them. Once assembled the cord is not going to come out of the housing because there is pressure from internal parts of the housing that prevents the cord from moving. All in all, this is a good value.

Installed these to replace my broken switches, extremely easy and direct! They function perfectly.

I had had a previous lamp who had this kind of switch and it wasn't very good. I was glad that I ordered a couple more and my husband if need be can switch out the old one with the new ones

The floor foot switch works as expected. The reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is that assembling the switch, after the wire is connected, is a bit tricky. It takes a bit of playing with the top and the bottom covers before they align so that you can insert the screws. The previous floor switch, the one being replaced, was much easier to assemble.
