A reading accessory worth trying.
Before I begin, please note that I primarily use this light to read a physical book at night. Light Details: The light has 3 levels of brightness. All of them can be used to read a physical book just fine, depending on how much brightness you need. The light ranges from a soft orange to a sepia-ish orange. I found the light so soothing that without meaning to I fell asleep to it before getting far into my book. Battery Life: The battery and brightness can last a long time, especially without usage. Just as an example, I was hospitalized for two weeks not long after getting this light (no, the light didn't put me in the hospital, in case you were wondering, all of you over-thinkers). When I returned home the light still worked at the same level of brightness. Ease of Use: This light is easy to use and handle. You click the head to turn it on and then click the head again to adjust the brightness until it turns off. The light clips on to a book. You may have to adjust the position to your liking, as is the case with many book lights. Charging: This light also comes with a usb charger that makes charging the light quite easy. Flaws: Honestly, the only flaw I can think about is the length of the charging cable. Depending on your proximity to an outlet, it may be a tad on the shorter side. Would I Recommend this product? Yes. I highly recommend this product, especially for those looking for a simple book light. The light is a soothing color that is easy on the eyes. It's easy to use. The battery lasts long. And it's easy to charge. (Now I just need to find a new physical book to read at night and I'll be all set.)

This is my year's top find!
I bought this because I really wanted to read in bed but my eyes always start closing from strain about two minutes in. I couldn't read more than two or three pages before my eyes wouldn't stay open. Something about this yellow light that makes it so much easier to read. No eye strain at all!?! I am 65 years old, so that is a big thing. I can read for two hours and nothing. The battery seems to last forever. I have been using it for over two weeks now, every night, and the light seemed just as bright. I charged it today, just because I don't want it to go out while I am reading tonight! It might have lasted another two weeks??? The flexible neck is superior. You can virtually twist it in any direction to shine the light exactly where you want it. The light is dim or a little brighter or even brighter still. You could use it to light up a room in a black out. Enough to see across the room. I have a bed that has a slat rail across the back (a daybed) so I can clip it on that and read with it there. You can clip it on a book, but I found that to be a pain, every time you had to turn the page you had to move it or pull the page out. This is also a great light to have as a night light in your room to see if you have to get up in the middle of the night. Just clip it somewhere where you can reach it. Touch it and it is on. I highly recommend this light for a multitude of uses. But for reading, the yellow light is WONDERFUL!

Great Light for Night Reading!
Great light! I was originally looking for a light that can be mounted above my bed headboard. Then, I saw this one, thought I might have give it a try. It turns out to be definitely worth the money! Battery: I have had it for almost two months Now, and I have only charged it once. After I charged it for the first time, I used it about 20 hours on the second level brightness, and it was still working pretty well, though I could feel it was a little darker. So I had to charge it. Waaaaay better than I expected on the battery charge. Lightweight: I was worried about having this chunky thing on my book while reading, but it was not as bad as I thought. It’s way smaller than I expected, but producing just enough light you need (just enough for me to ready and not to bother my boyfriend). You do need to clean the clips before using it, otherwise it leaves a dark mark on the book. You also need to clip a chunk of the book if you are using paperback. Bluelight free: As you can tell on the photo I shared, the light does appear really yellow, since it meant to have almost no blue light at all. I haven’t done any professional tests, but I do think it is doing what it suppose to do. If you hate the yellow lights, pass on with this. If not, it is for you! Really easy on eyes, if you are a reader before bed. Overall, better than I expected! Better than the IKEA battery reading light I had prior to this one. If you don’t mind just a little tiny bit of chunkiness, I do highly recommend it. Side notes: I do love my books very much. Can’t stand anything marks, or a little tiny bad things happen to them, and this one does not do any of those, even if you had to clip it on the book. Recommended!

Five Years Later - Still Love This Lamp
I bought this light five years ago, and having used it countless times including last night, I just had to pull it up online and write a review for it. I love this little light. Yes, there are likely better ones available now (such as one that is worn around the neck that I may well buy), but this one simply has the versatility that makes it a great tool on the bedside table. Yes, it’s nice for reading in a dark room, which is handy when you don’t really want to turn on a 100-watt bulb at 3:00 in the morning. The amber light is perfect to read by and doesn’t hurt the eyes; you can choose between brightnesses. The clip is a bit cumbersome when attached to a book, and may need to be adjusted periodically, but it’s rigid and it works. Oftentimes, this light’s best feature just happens to be that clip, as when resting on the table, has the width and heft to hold the light upright like a tiny table lamp. This is so useful when waking up during the night to take a pill, find an aspirin, use the bathroom, or whatever else might rouse you out of the darkness. It’s soft light illuminates well and eliminates fumbling in the dark. You need only grasp the top and squeeze to turn it on, no little button to press. In the five years I’ve had it, I can’t even recall recharging it, but I suppose it’s possible I’ve charged it once. It’s compact and easy to travel with as well.

Will not last that long (UPDATED)
Decent light I used it for journaling at night. It’s pretty sturdy and doesn’t really get in the way if you can find the right position for it. Unfortunately it only lasted about a year before it just completely stopped working. Overall not a bad product but I would look for something that will last longer. UPDATE: Added an extra star because it turns out it just needed to be charged, and yes, I did try to charge it before my initial review but it would not charge with my regular charger that I use on my phone. I’m not sure if it was an issue with my cable but it works just fine charging anything else with a type c connection.

It is a must have if you want to get more reading done.
This is one of those things I held off on buying because, well, I didn't read in bed that much. I f I did read one day, my wife could somewhat deal with the room light on while she slept. So I didn't buy it, and I didn't read much in bed. Well I finally bought it and damn, I was being dumb. I know this is a stupid revelation, but I coulda been reading in bed every night. This thing is so cool. the recharging feature means I don't have to worry about digging for batteries one day (that's a must). The thing is super light so it doesn't make my book feel heavier. The orange light is super easy on the eyes, so it doesn't disrupt your sleep cycle like a blue light would. There are 3 intensity levels which helped as I ended up lowering the brightness once my wife turned the tv off. the swivel neck is super malleable and sturdy. you can aim the light in literally any direction and it will stay put. Plus the on/off switch is super intuitive. I love this thing. Now I'm looking forward to reading in bed tonight. I'm officially old. I'm gushing over a book light. (As I've only used it once, I'll be sure to come back and let you know if this thing ever craps out on me, but given how inexpensive it is versus how sturdy it feels, I doubt that will happen).

This product worked great
I looked at many products for reading in bed at night and this one seemed to have a lot of good features: amber light, rechargable battery, could fasten to the book I was reading. When it arrived I had to charge it but was also able to test it once it was charging and could see the way the three light settings looked. I used it last night while reading a hefty paperback, the fifth volume of Jean M. Auel’s Earth’s Children. I found I could hold the book with the lamp attached but I could also rest it on a pillow. The clip held firmly to the book and did not slip and the gooseneck light was able to illuminate the entire two pages. I did not have to use the highest setting - the first two settings were sufficient. I read for 2 hours and it worked fine. It even held to the book well and did not slip when I was reading the end of the book; that is, when there were only about ten extra pages at the end and the back cover. This worked out great. When I get to the end of a book and don’t want to put it down I can still get comfortable in bed and read it. The product was exactly what I was looking for. I also liked the enclosed card that showed the spectrum of light emitted (which was also on the Amazon website). I prefer to have hard data when possible. I liked the product so much and the way it was presented that I am going to check out the company to see what else they sell. I have not had a chance to check out the battery life yet but I am assuming I would not be reading in bed for more than two hours a night and can easily recharge it during the day, so battery life is fine for my needs.

Bought this for my 7-Year old son as a reading light - HUGE hit!
I bought this for my son to read a bit longer in bed before going to sleep- - and it's been a huge hit. The glow of the light is gentle and I am impressed with how long the battery lasts. My son loves having it clipped onto his bed frame for easy use and he can control the light himself from bed. Great purchase for the price! The only thing I wish it had was a battery indicator light - so you could know when it was getting low - that way you could charge it in advance. But other than that it's a clear 5 stars from me ... I plan to purchase a second one so that we can have one charged and then just switch it out when he needs it.
