Helped Clear Up Scalp Bumps After Haircuts
My husband was getting small bumps and irritation on his scalp after haircuts, and this shampoo and conditioner set made a noticeable difference. Since switching to this tea tree shampoo, the bumps have stopped appearing and his scalp looks much healthier. The tea tree scent is clean and refreshing without being overpowering. The shampoo leaves his scalp feeling clean and soothed, and the conditioner helps prevent dryness, which was an issue with other medicated shampoos he’s tried. It cleans well without stripping his hair or causing irritation. We also like that the formula feels gentle but effective, especially for sensitive or itchy scalps. After consistent use, his scalp irritation has stayed under control. Overall, this set has worked really well for us, and we would definitely repurchase it for ongoing scalp care.

Your scalp will thank you
Y’all, I have been using this shampoo set for almost a year now, and it’s been nothing but amazing. To preface, I have fine strands but medium hair density, low porosity, wavy 2a/2b, frizz and build-up prone hair. Prior to getting this shampoo, I had been experiencing some hair loss and I noticed my hair density had changed quite drastically. I certainly wasn’t “bald”, but it was the “thinnest” it had ever been, especially at the temples/hair line. It started with a horrible reaction to the hair products I had been using for years prior (ahem, OGX lawsuit…), which snowballed into developing folliculitis, terrible scalp buildup, FIRST EVER flare of seborrheic dermatitis at the nape of my neck/scalp, and just overall awful hair. From that moment onward, I had tried over a dozen different shampoos and conditioners, specifically ones that were both sulphate (not including a clarifying shampoo that I definitely needed to invest in lol) and silicone free. (*I’m not saying that anyone should demonize these ingredients, but for my fine hair type, I just find that silicone-free is better for me*). Anyways, after months of being unhappy with every different product I tried, I came upon these. Shampoo Notable qualities: - Peppermint for hair growth stimulation, SD soothing properties, as well as overall pleasant aroma and tingly experience -Rosemary oil for definite hair growth stimulation - Tea Tree oil for exceptional SD treatment - Great combination of surfactants like cocomidopropyl betaine and— my favorite— C14-16 olefin sulfonate, as well as many others. -moisturizing ingredients too, such as argon oil, a few polyquaterniums, and more I always do scalp oil treatments the night before a wash, and therefore double cleanse my hair. My hair is always so clean and soft after shampooing, never any residue. It’s also not overly stripped, but still perfectly cleansed and voluminous. Literally my IDEAL shampoo in every way. It’s also extremely concentrated, I’ve had the same bottle for several months and it’s not even to the halfway mark yet. AND I always shampoo twice. Conditioner: Now, this is where this set let’s me down a bit. Do not get me wrong, this is a very nice, creamy, medium-richness conditioner. Not too runny to the point that I’m using half the bottle just to feel like I’m getting somewhere (although it is still thinner than how I usually prefer my conditioners to be— but that’s preference). But this is NOT a bad conditioner!!!! The problem is, there are over 5 different proteins in the entire ingredients list, and barely one or two conditioning ingredients. And for my frizz-prone, low porosity and therefore very protein sensitive hair, that’s a l o t. Someone who’d benefit more from it is a person with color-treated, or very damaged hair. Nonetheless, let it be clear that I’d still pay for BOTH if it meant I could repurchase the shampoo again. That’s how much I adore it. As for my scalp issues and hair loss, I never want to give a singular product credit for something that is governed by many different factors. A mixture of devoting time and effort to scalp and overall health— (no more scalding hot showers, not putting my hair in super tight hairstyles anymore, UV protection as well as no more heat tools, not letting my hair get too oily/built up, scalp oil treatments + massaging before washing, using less irritating products on the skin, clarifying frequently enough, etc)— AND using this shampoo is what I believe truly helped me recover. I have zero desire to ever use anything else again :)

Light scent, works well
Good shampoo and conditioner. The scent is nice--a little bit on the lighter side for a tea tree oil product, but we prefer that. The shampoo lathers fairly well and does a good job cleaning the hair. The conditioner leaves the hair soft and smelling great. Overall, we feel this product is a good value for the money and would recommend it.

Very satisfied with ingredients and hair health.
I don't usually leave reviews. But wanted to leave my experience seeing all the bad skin reactions. I was surprised seeing all the reactions and a little weary upon buying this. I chose this one as it has very clean and ingredients and the price is very reasonable. I was using a previous shampoo that had argan oil and other ingredients that weren't too good. I had used that one for years because I liked the smell (although it was fragrance) and I do believe the argan left benefits for my hair health. After reviewing dozens of shampoos, I finally came across this one and was shocked of the beneficial natural ingredients in it for the price. It did come with the conditioner lid slightly loose and had some oil residue on the bottle, but not much of the soap itself had spilled. I have now used these on myself, kids, and my husband has used it. With myself, I have very long thick hair. You don't need much of the shampoo. It foams just enough to rub in well. I do feel like it leaves my hair feeling clean and healthy. With my kids, one has very thin hair that I am trying to help grow healthier and thicker. The other has thick hair. Even after them using it once a few days ago, their hair is still shiny, healthy and moisturized looking, and what I would assume is the argan oil- the smell is still there. Which I like, though I have seen a few reviews saying they find it funny smelling. My husband had even admitted to using it and told me to feel his hair 😆. He has thick hair and very sensitive skin to certain soaps. He didn't seem to have a reaction and left his hair soft and healthy looking. I do wonder though, if those who had had a reaction if it was either because of the tea tree oil one or if they had an allergy to one of the animal ingredients without knowing it. One being peg-75 which is sourced from an oil in sheep's wool. Or even the quaternium-18 which can be sourced from tallow. Or maybe even the coconut oil, as I know that can be a common allergy as well. I just wanted to note that to maybe help someone. Overall, I am very happy with this shampoo and plan on continuing to get it as long as it's available.

There’s good and bad
Update: I have noticed a significant increase in breakage in my hair after 2 weeks of use, hair shedding seems to be increasing. Unfortunately will be returning. So I don’t hate this set. What I loved: the shampoo smells amazing. I also have a very sensitive scalp and after several washes, my scalp seems to approve, though does get a bit dry by the end of the day on wash day. Which is somewhat normal for me if I don’t work a small amount of conditioner on my scalp to act like lotion. The next morning after a wash day my hair is pretty soft. So far it also doesn’t seem to effect my box dyed red (from dark brown) hair. Started using this the second wash after dying my hair and the color is still bright. Things I’m meh about: I was a little let down by the tingle mentioned in other reviews. Nothing major, was just hoping for more. I haven’t had it long enough to really be able to tell, but I haven’t noticed a difference in dropped hairs. I shed like a husky, I also don’t brush my hair daily due to texture (wavy with some curl) and wear it up loosely for work. So far seems to be about the same size hairball at the end of my showers. Where my hair isn’t dull, it doesn’t seem to have as much shine. Things I’m not a fan of: the conditioner STINKS! Not sure if I got a bad bottle or what but after my shower tonight, the conditioner went in the trash. At first it reminded me of raw shea butter with a faint hint of peppermint. Wasn’t what I was expecting, but I thought I could live with the natural smell. The next time I used it, it seemed more pungent. Tonight I didn’t notice the smells until it was already on my hair, but it was so bad I had to rinse it out immediately. Now that’s all I can smell on my hair still. I notice while my hair is soft, it’s not as full. It doesn’t seem to effect my waves and curls though. By the end of the first day and into wash day, my hair does feel a bit dry. My hair tie gets tangled almost every time I take it out. I also can’t wear my hair down the second day. It doesn’t want to lay right where this wasn’t a problem with my last wash set. Combing it out after a shower is also more work than it’s been in the past. Which surprised me because it feels very smooth when rinsing. So over all the shampoo is pretty great. I really like it and would buy that again if I could buy just that. The conditioner, I’d consider trying it again in the case that I got a bad bottle but definitely wouldn’t buy it again.

Great product for gray hair. Hair is shiny, silky. And, feels light.
I really like this shampoo. It isn’t very sudsy. So, I use one pump of it with my Garnier fructose shampoo. It works great. I make sure my hair is really wet (after rinsing out shampoo). Then one pump of conditioner. I rub it in both hands. Just to try to even amount all around. My hair is silky. It doesn’t make my hair heavy. I will buy it again!

Ok, but a bit expensive in my opinion
For some reason, it seems we change shampoos and conditioners more frequently than the weather. The wife likes to try different types and brands in a quest for finding one that she likes the best as well as she changes because she feels it prevents the hair from become tolerant to the beneficial effects. To me, this shampoo/condition has a pretty strong tea tree smell instead of a peppermint, which I would have preferred. I am not sure if this is because this product has sat too long on the shelf or the brand has inconsistent quality control standards. It does have a minty sensation on the scalp when put on and seems to lather well. The shampoo seems to clean well and the wife likes this brand better than the Pura D’or brand she recently tried. The quality of this brand seems better. I also think this is a bit expensive for shampoo and conditioner. Long term we will see if this is a brand we stick with and is effective or whether we will move onto a different brand. 4 stars
