Schaum's Outline of Trigonometry, Sixth Edition

I took trig decades ago. I bought this for my granddaughter. I thing it covers all the major topics of trig if not all the topics. It may not work well as a textbook. But it was great as a refresher or prep for a final exam.

This book is great, used it for my college trig class.

I mean....... if you're already knowledgable in advanced mathematics this book is a perfect refresher. Lots of practice problems, lots of information condensed into this little flimsy book. In my case, I bought this because I was looking for something to help me outline and better understand "important" concepts with reference to a condensed Trigonometry class I was taking. The information in this book is very broad and covers the entire scope of trigonometric applications - not just what a student would learn in a classroom. So, for me, it was too much information to take in. The wording/phrasing and examples left me feeling a little confused and overwhelmed at times - but again, that's because I was trying to use this book "side-by-side" with what I was doing in my regular studies. Side note: the pages are like tissue paper... suuuper thin. Anyway, overall - objectively speaking, this is a good book if you have a general idea as to what you're doing (if that makes sense). It's got a lot of *thorough* information for different Trig concepts and lots of practice problems. Hopefully this is helpful!

Schaum's Outlines like this one were my companions through college. I bought this as a refresher, and it did not disappoint. I can't help but wonder how much more material we could have covered in college if courses were structured along the lines of these outlines instead of the texts we actually used, then skipped a lot of the material covered.

Good examples and plenty of exercises with answers provided. This is a great inexpensive solution for any trig course.

Whether you are starting out on the subject or are looking for a source to refresh on it, this one is a great book. With its first edition written 1954, it has some information that is no longer fashionable. The use of Four-Figure Table and logarithm in trigonometrical calculations are such examples. Other than that, it provides lessons and great notes in all the essentials. Many of the examples are classics that can be found in Advanced level Mathematics (in UK or commonwealth countries or perhaps in similar courses/syllabi in others). Highly recommended!!!

Buen libro para repasar Trigonometria o para aquellos que esten tomando un curso en el tema. Un poco limitado en contenido y no tiene el numero de ejemplos y ejercicios que normalmente se encuentran en los libros de Schaum's Outlines. Tambien no tiene informacion sobre Spherical Trigonometry, lo cual es algo decepcionante. Sin embrago es recomendable como libro suplementario/complementario para estudiantes de Trigonometria Basica.

Trigonometría serie Schaum enseña clara y amenamente lo qué es esta rama de las matemáticas con numerosos ejemplos interesantes y entretenidos. Muy recomendable.
