Easy to use
Good quality and accurate readings

The meter CANNOT work!!!!
The battery compartment is too small to fit the two AAA batteries. As all of this type of battery are the same length the fault lies with the meter. I am not an electrician but to me the terminals are wrong as well.

Limited use
My first attempt to use this didn't give me a result I was understanding. Then I read the manual. There are limited cases where this device will measure amperes: 1. It has to be alternating current; 2. You have to put a single conductor into the loop. So, it is not possible to go around the house and snap the loop around the power cords of appliances. It is also not possible for me to get a reading from my car battery. Home appliances readings won't work because those cords have two or three conductors already, and the current will be flowing in opposite directions. If you get any reading at all, it will be very small. Which is exactly my first experience. Reading from the car's battery ground connection won't work because that is DC current. The one place where I can use this is at my home power supply entry point, after the utility meter and before the circuit breaker box, I have two separate conductors of single phase supply. Clipping on either one of them shows, the current my apartment is drawing is about 2.3 amperes.

Does what's required.
Wanted it to carry out checks on the current draw at my energy meter. My bills had got too high, while our consumption hadn't increased. The clamp on readings matched the current ratings on my appliances. Needed to verify this before I ask for a Meter change. Never had any problems before I changed to a smart meter.

It's a multimeter and a clip on ammeter instrument
Ammeter readings are accurate (clipon) Also has test leads and can be used to read volts ohms and a digital readout. Handy.
