I just want to say off tops that this is my first projector. I recently added on a 14’x16’ screened porch and was in the market for a 1080p native projector. This review is based on that need and purpose. I have fairly high standards for picture quality. Bought a Panasonic VT50 plasma back in 2012 and had it professionally ISF calibrated. Still love that TV. Point being, I’ve been down that rabbit hole enough to where I can’t go back to inferior picture quality. I quickly figured out that puts me in the $650-$800 price range. Or so I thought. In comes the Yaber. It was named as the best budget projector on one of the dozen best of websites I checked (2 dozen). So it goes on the list. It has a ridiculously low price tag and I think, yeah right. After convincing myself not to buy it numerous times (26), I bought it...with the highest hopes and lowest expectations. On paper, this thing is a beast. It seems to have everything the higher priced brands have and more. “More” meaning, one projector may have this while another has that, but I noticed the Yaber had them all. Immediate red flags went up on my end given the price, but what the hell. I just bought a screened porch I can’t afford, right? I’ve used it now a dozen times or so and it does what it says. Paired it with an Elite manual B 100” screen. I couldn’t be happier with this combo for this price. Used the provided HDMI cable to hook up my old ROKU 3 and it all just works. Zero problems. The Picture Quality is great. Not once have I hesitated to set up the Yaber on the porch when I’ve got a 65” 4k inside. I get the full 100” 16:9 from around 13’ and it’s a real draw for the family. The brightness is perfect for that size room. Colors are distinguishable. I was worried they’d be washed out, but this thing is legit. For outdoor viewing, dusk is about as early as I’ll venture out. She really shines at night. Check my pix for proof. Go Cubs! The Y correction worked as advertised and is a must. I didn’t need the X correction, but it’s there and works. The built in speakers will get you watching straight out of the box, but you’ll soon be connecting it to external speakers. Proof of a review will get you a gift, but this projector deserves my review. I’ve waited over a month to make sure there are no issues. I’m still happy with my purchase and will provide updates if anything changes. Otherwise, I recommend. I just can’t imagine those bigger name brands are worth the extra money given what this can Yaber-dabba-do.

Wow, This is one awesome projector for the price! Great actual 1080p native video that looks like a 1080p tv, but one that you can make the screen go up to 200 inches. It only weighs a couple of pounds and is very easy to mount. You just remove the 4 sticky bumpers at the bottom of the feet to reveal where the mount screws go. I had it up in less than 20 minutes with the -Vivo universal adjustable ceiling mount (MOUNT-VPO1W)-. For awhile I was searching for something decent priced and at least close to tv quality for my new living/ theatre room but had no luck sub 200$. The low lumens and horrible picture quality just didn’t cut it. Then I saw this for under 300$. I have my screen at 120 inches and built a stand for around it so all it needed was the right projector. For us, it was this! It supports 4K and HD quality games movies and videos, and It has a really great picture with everything we use. Even in the daytime with the sun shining in the picture is still great. I also bought an HDMI switch to 5 HDMI ports so we can easily switch between cable box, firestick, Wii, ps4, and our pandora box 6 without always hooking and unhooking HDMI wires from the projector. *Note* This is by no means a 4K quality projector. it is a native 1080p which looks good even at 200”. If you want a 4K projector (not one that just supports it) it’s going to cost you a couple of grand, but if you just want something with good tv quality picture and good brightness so it can be viewed during the day in your living room, this is what you want. *When I say can be viewed during the day I don't mean outside in direct sunlight, but even with the sun shining in from 3 different windows with slightly see-through curtains it works great and we have no problem with viewing during the daytime, or anytime for that matter. The speakers aren’t terrible, but I use my surround sound which I recommended or at least some speakers. The fan being somewhat adjustable is a nice feature and to us, it runs very quiet. I really like that the vertical and horizontal keystone is controlled by the remote and not manually. It works very well to get nice straight edges easily. The only way to make the screen bigger is to move the projector back farther because there is no zoom-in feature on this. That’s the one feature I wish it did have, but it does have an up and down “backward zoom” to ensure your screen fits perfectly in the space you want it. We use this as our main tv over our 4K 70” smart sharp tv (which says something!) I’ve included a bunch of pictures that’ll help with getting an idea of the picture quality. One other thing to note is *if you’re not getting any sound from your fire stick, cable box, or any other device it’s because of Dolby sound. Go to your audio settings and turn it off and you’ll be good to go. Also,* if your video isn’t coming through or it’s skipping in and out of audio and video, try another HDMI cable. I had that problem when I received my projector but it was a faulty HDMI, changed it and it worked perfectly. Very happy with my purchase and so is the family! 5 stars and highly recommended. *2 months in and everything is still perfect! We use this every day and have yet to run into any problems. Great purchase and worth every penny!

I purchased this projector because I was looking for a newer projector to replace my old Dell 5100mp projector. I saw this on amazon and decided to give it a try. I was looking for a projector that was less than $500 and could display 1080p. My normally use my projector to watch football games and movies so I was looking for a projector that would give me a clear picture for both. I project onto a 110in pull down screen. My old dell projector was mounted from the ceiling at about 14 ft back from the screen. I also purchased a universal ceiling mount for this Yaber projector. If you are going to ceiling mount the projector you will need to take off the plastic knobs that are underneath the projector. The knobs are on with adhesive so you will need to pull them off. Once you pull them off you will find the holes for mounting. As I mounted the projector on the ceiling from about 14 ft back the image was huge! It was at least 150 in or more. This Yaber projector does not have a lens shift to make the image smaller. Instead, it has a horizontal and vertical zoom feature to fit your screen. Once I got the image lined up with my screen I decided to test out the picture. I have DIRECTV so I turned to a football game to see what the picture would look like. As long as the image on the screen is close up the picture looks crystal clear. However, once the image gets smaller the picture looks pixelated. You can see this on the two pictures I posted of ESPN. I didn’t like the way the image looked while watching football. So I decided to see if maybe when you zoom in that you lose picture quality. So I zoomed out to the normal size which gives you a image between 150-170. Everything looks a lot better. However, for the size of my room I did not want that image size. Also, I wasn’t trying to buy a larger screen when there was nothing wrong with the one I had. Next, I decided to put on a movie on Netflix. I must say, the picture looks awesome when watching Netflix and Blu-ray movies regardless of image size. I didn’t see any pixelation when my image was 110 in or 150+. So if you are only going to watch steaming content or Blu-ray movies then you will love this Yaber projector. As far as the sound, I have my projector hooks up to an Onkyo receiver so I don’t worry about the speakers on the projector. Brightness The projector is advertised as having 6000 lumens. This is definitely not the case. My old dell 5100 mp projector has 3300 lumens and is brighter than this Yaber. When watching the projector during daylight, the image becomes washed out. My dell protector with 3300 lumens is clearer than the Yaber when watching during the day. See the attached pictures. But if you are watching this in a theater room or mainly at night you will be fine. Remote Control The remote is decent. It’s hard to take off to put batteries in. It seems like you are going to break it. You have to pry the back off to put batteries in. Besides that I think the remote is fine. It functions just like any other remote. Connections There are plenty of connections on the back. There are two HDMI ports which is great. You also have two USB ports, av in/out and pc connections. The only connection I tested was the HDMI port. Lens cap There is a lens cap that comes with the projector. It’s pretty flimsy. It would have been great if the lens cap had a string on it to stay attached to the projector but it doesn’t. Over all this is a great projector for the price. If you only plan to watch streaming content or Blu-ray movies then you will love it! If you plan on watching regular tv it won’t look as clear. Or just don’t zoom in and use the actual picture size depending on the throw distance. I decided to return this and go with another projector. I have to have a clear picture when watching regular tv.

Very impressive! I was skeptical about giving this a 5 star review, but after reviewing my test results, I am ok with 5 stars. This is my 3rd projector. The last one was an Epson 2030 1080p. That thing set me back $1200 and served me well for years. But, I had given the Epson away and occasionally missed having a projector. I also didn't want to spend a lot of $ for something I didn't use a lot. Then, I saw the Yaber 1080p projector on Amazon and gave it a try. I used the standard picture setting for the attached animated shots and the "soft" picture mode to lower the contrast for the computer shot. The animated picture with the better contrast was taken in a dark room. The other two pictures had a 100 watt overhead light on in the room. Both were with a 60" diagonal frame. The good: I can't verify that it puts out 5000 lumens, but it is brighter than my old 2000 lumen Epson. I did not encounter any of the 1 and 2 star review problems. HDMI 1080p BluRay video shows flawlessly with no jumps or stuttering. Picture is actually native 1080 and looks good even in a room that is not dark. Focus over the entire screen is good but not perfect. There is a little fuzziness at the edges if focused at the center but this is not noticeable in 1080p video and text on the edges is still legible as can be seen in the computer shot. Although the image will use less pixels when not set at 0%, the digital zoom (actually a shrink) function is a nice feature to get the picture to match the screen without having to move the projector. The LED light source produces good color rendition and should last many times longer (70,000 hours may be a little optimistic) than conventional projector sources. The built-in speaker produces adequate volume and actually sounds good...much better than I expected, eliminating the need for a sound bar for videos that are mostly talk. Zero cool-down time. Short start-up time. Lots of user-adjustable settings. The gray area: The description on the Amazon page mentions "Updated an advanced and silent cooling system with 3 fans running simultaneously". I cannot tell if there is more than 1 fan but whatever is in there runs at a constant speed which can only be set higher using the remote. I measured fan noise on the "Low" (default) setting at 42-47dB at 1m. Not exactly "silent", but maybe something was lost in the translation to English. I don't know why anyone would use the "High" fan setting as long as the projector is running well on "Low". The high setting adds another 3db or so to the noise. My sound meter may not be calibrated so absolute numbers might be off a bit but fan noise is higher than the 25-35dB of 2x-3x more expensive projectors. My old Epson was 27dB and I needed to actually listen for it to notice the fan noise. But then you are paying a lot more for less noise. Noise is not offensive as long as you are not sitting next to the projector. Conclusion: Overall, of the features I tried, everything seemed to work as advertised. I have not tried the VGA analog input, just both HDMI ports. I would recommend (and have recommended) to others as a great value for those not needing a perfect video picture and/or no significant projector noise. Also works well as a business projector displaying text legibly at typical laptop resolutions in a lit conference room.

If I had to use one word to describe the picture, it would be WOW! I purchased this projector to use on my new outdoor patio. Initially, I had many concerns buying a product from a company I was not familiar with. But given the price, I felt it was worth the risk. I don't write many reviews, but I have been so pleased that I want to let other people know. I also wanted to give it a month or so just to make sure I did not have any problems. I have been using the unit for about two months now and am very happy! First, the unit was incredibly easy to set up the first time. I unboxed it, set it on a table, plugged in a Roku stick, and started watching Netflix. The real surprise was when we took it outside and set it up on the patio. I also purchased a large movie screen and built a frame for use outside. The picture was crystal clear and bright, and with the adjustable size I was able to project a screen that was roughly 135" diagonal!! We have been doing movie night with the neighbors, and watched a couple of ball games. The pictures I have included show a movie at "normal" size and a baseball game with the image size increased. My mate is standing in the picture so you can appreciate the size (she is 5'5") As you can see, the clarity is incredible! It will support any HDMI input, and I have used it with a Roku, Apple TV, and Tivo mini. It will support a laptop via HDMI, but I have not used it for that - yet. I showed a friend of mine the setup/picture, and he is thinking about using the same setup. He wants to use the "reverse projection" feature to do a background movie for some of his video conferencing presentations. Be advised - Our yard backs up to another road in our development and so people are always walking by. If you are sitting on your outdoor patio, drinking a beer, enjoying the fire pit, and watching a ball game on a 135" screen, people will stop and want to watch! This is clearly one of the best investments I have made!

So I wanted a projector for some time now. I finally decided to splurge. I asked my community which one I should get because I knew a few people use some out here to host movie nights outside during the pandemic. This is the one I was told to get. I waited a bit to try it out because we had Christmas decorations over running our house. So once it was all packed away I finally tried it in the house. First was in the dining room in a corner so that’s the weird angle you see in the first picture. But my light was on even though it was dark outside. Then I tried it without the light and even better. The next night I tried it in the living room on a free wall. The picture gets huge! The wall color is a light grey so not a white background. The picture was still bright! And if you look at the right corner you will see my window. I had no blinds at the time and it was a bright sunny day! The picture was still good! Then once it got dark you could see even better! It was fun watching cartoons and movies on such a big wall! I haven’t tried it outside yet because I don’t like the cold but I can’t wait until summer to enjoy outdoor movies in our own back yard!! There is a school behind us so there will be lots of street lights but I think it will be ok still. Will update in the summer. At this time I’m super pleased. Sound is just fine for us but I think you can hook up speakers to it as well. Pay attention to the directions. There is a hint in there about Netflix and if I would of paid attention I would of realized I had it hooked up correctly. I use mine with a fire stick. Works perfectly! It’s worth the money! I’m so happy I asked neighbors on their opinions. Since I got this I have shared it with my friends and other neighbors and five of my friends have purchased one! Some are using them for camping. How fun!

(EDIT: The projector lens started to “burn our” with a fuzzy blue blob overtaking the picture. The company sent us a replacement projector and after another year or do it happened again. Not recommended for long term use.) Overall this is a very good projector with one (fixable) sound problem. Due to a licensing issue, products made by the company will not play Dolby sound. We hooked up our Apple TV and while there was sound on Amazon prime, there was no sound on Netflix because Netflix uses Dolby. The workaround was to go into the settings on our Apple TV and switch the sound from Dolby to normal stereo. Once we did that it worked fine. We thought we might have issues with our other devices (Roku, Blu-ray player, Xbox) but all of those were fine. So basically if you are OK with only stereo sound and can make adjustments to your settings if necessary, it should work. Also, I wish the volume was a little louder. We watched a movie with the volume all the way up to 100 and while it sounded fine, there were a couple of quiet scenes where I wanted to turn it up louder and couldn’t. So we may eventually buy speakers for that reason. But they are not a necessity. The fan is very quiet. One other thing to point out: if you use the keystoning feature, which is a necessity if hanging from the ceiling, it will throw off the focus somewhat. You can either have the top of the image super crisp and the bottom of the image a little blurry, or vice versa. This is the third projector we have used and in my experience this is coming across all projectors. It’s a physics issue, not an issue unique to this device. I adjusted the focus halfway so it is just slightly blurry on both the top and bottom, and barely notice. Picture is great! Very bright and colorful. We can have all the lights on in the room and still easily see what is happening on the screen (though it is a little washed out of course). In the dark it is fabulous.

Since we have a scale of 5 stars, I had to discern the five most important things that I care about wrt projectors. I had tried out and returned the projector made by Vankyo called Leisure 3. Before you read any more of this review, please understand that I benchmark quality against old school favorites like BenQ and Optoma who make DLP projectors that start off at $500 and go into $5000. Starting off with the first and probably the most important one is picture quality. Picture quality and brightness of lamp are intermingled from a observers perspective while separated out from a manufacturer's perspective. I can discern the high pixel count in a dark room , but don't care for it as much when I can't even see the picture properly in a partially lit room. In a dark room , the quality is great making it really a go to choice for anyone wanting to use this as a fixture in their basement/game room with dark shades. I use it outside my home and this is where the second quality of brightness impacts me the most. I have come to the conclusion now after several reviews and personal uses that LED brightness can't match a traditional lamp even if the lumens are much more. All in all 4 stars for quality of picture and 3 stars for brightness. The third important part is that of ease of use and here the projector marvels with easy adjustments for keystone and focus (the instructions don't clearly specify, but watching the supporting video provided on Amazon makes it easy to know that the lens is actually part of the focus ring mechanism). The fourth aspect is sound and here I give 3 stars because it is not too bad, but at the same time is not loud enough for a large hall that can seat 50 people. If you are thinking home theater, get at least a 5.1 system to go with this. Lastly, I look for quality of build and it definitely gets 5 stars on that. Overall, I tend towards a 3 star rating. I believe this is more of a rating for LED lit projectors using LCD vs DLP ones uses traditional lamps.
