Fantastic yarn! Not sure why people are returning theirs.
I was SHOCKED to see this was a frequently returned item Iโm literally on here now trying to find other colors in Cotton by Studio Sam! I love the softness the light weight pretty colors the only thing bad I have to say is I wish there were more colors! Love love love this yarn!

Beautiful Amigurumi
I am brand new to Amigurumi (just finished my first project) and this is the only yarn that I have used. I found it difficult to learn on, so I don't think it's a good beginner yarn unless like me you don't mind challenges. In the end I was able to make a very cute Amigurumi piggy. The yarn is soft and very loosely twisted, which once you learn how to crochet with it, its pretty easy to use it, but could be frustrating for someone used to larger tightly woven yarn. I love the colors and have bought both sets. The yarn is small but plenty to finish a single Amigurumi with quite a bit of left over yarn. I used a 2.25mm hook, anything larger will leave visible gaps in between stitches. There are 10 indivdual strands. I love that it is cotton and the beauty colors. Perfect for patterns that call for a small hook. The pattern I used was from Amigurumi Treasures.

Good
I actually ordered twice as it suited my crochet lantern needs. It does split like crazy so you need to be careful. Colors are vibrant and nice feel to yarn. No complaints and my hanging lanterns look great.

Soft, cheap, very cheap, super cheap, hard to work with (no seriously)
First things first, I make a lot of stuff but bought this specifically for amigurumi, send help and hugs I'll be needing it. Product application is relevant. I got this because my fancy yarn is stuck in customs and I wanted something to play with. It went... ok. Detailed review because this seriously is for a certain type of person and if you're like me and 'advanced' means 'bring it on, you can't tell me what to do' I'll attempt to save those of you with similar defiant streaks some of your wallet. Pictures: -the cakes, very hit and miss on cooperative, some went ok some came full of snags. Snags can't be worked with, requires tie off. You can see where I was hesitant the first few, and I've wound so so many cakes in my life -quick chain test, managed a snag out of the gate even slowly. You might want tweezers or a yarn needle on hand if you have issues properly separating a stitch because it will show. -example of snarls that came out of the bag this way -the not fixable yarn pile I had to cut out when winding When the reviews say 'not beginner friendly' it's not a challenge, it's a nicer way to say 'no seriously this is loosely wound string'. It's says it's a 3 weight. I'm going to say bold claim because it's more like a 2. There's a reason there are yarns in this category that cost a whole lot more. If you're like me and you've been crocheting since you were a kid, you'll be fine. Its soft, so that's good. It's snarl city but doable. Amigurumi is going to make my cry a lot, so pick your pain tolerance, but more straightforward stuff will go easier. You're going to split it, period, that's how loose it is, but if you give it your full attention you can work it. Wind your own cake though, that's a 100% need. Was not kidding about that yarn needle or those thin pointey backwards tweezers (name unknown, like the weeding tweezers for cricut, where they start closed and pressure opens them) being on hand. Overall, if you can tolerate the big list of downsides, this is excellent, very soft and very affordable. If you look at this and go ehhhh I'm probably not on that level, spend your money elsewhere. Imagine a handful of thin strings, now imagine half heartedly twisting them together. Now crochet with that. If you aren't screaming right now, get it. If you are, keep screaming all the way to etsy for some classic Gazzal baby or yarnart jeans and pay a million in shipping and wait a month because this is sort of thing is just hard to get categorically. Tldr, I'm going to use it, I'm ready for frustration, do not do without winding a cake even if you only look for the big snarls, if you aren't totally confident then lean and then fall off the fence the other way or you'll be throwing this out a window.

Beautiful and soft
I ordered both sets that were available from this brand. The yarn is nicely colored and very soft to the touch. My only complaint is that of the 2 colors, one from each set, within the first 10g of each ball I ran into 2 to 3 knots. While I know knots can happen , I shouldnโt really have that many so often so soon. It really was disappointed because otherwise this cotton yarn is really lovely.

Little baby soft yarn
Personally like all the colors. Not hard to crochet, very soft cotton, no tangling but quite small yarn each. But it fit my needs.

Soft and vibrant
I really enjoy working with this yarn. It is soft and drapey, which can be difficult to get with some cotton yarns, and the colors are great. The colorset I bought is fairly heavy on cooler colors and skimpy on warmer ones, but ultimately this is a great set to get if you'd like a decent selection of colors in something larger than those 10g balls. The yarn is a bit splitty, but that's neither unusual nor particularly difficult to work with if you aren't a complete beginner. All in all, I do recommend this brand.

BEWARE - soft yarn but lots of knots and poor gradient in-person
The yarn is very soft and easy to work with, which is why it's a 2 star review rather than 1 star. Every ball has at least one knot in it (two ends tied together) which has made using this yarn for weaving particularly challenging. The gradient between the pinks, purples and blues is lovely, but there's a huge jump from the green to red which is not as easily apparent from the photographs. Contacted seller to complain and got told I bought it for 'a good price'. Used to weave a baby blanket for my first niece.
