True MEAT for the WELL SEASONED biblical scholar be s/he layperson or college educated in God's Holy Word. TEN stars if possible
Jay P. Green comes through AGAIN (I say again because he also translated his own full Bible version "The Literal Translation [of the Bible] - the LTV) in what should be described with splendid and stunning verbal fireworks of accolades! The only drawbacks that I can find so far are that the print is VERY small yet the book is huge and it "literally" (pun) weighs a few pounds. It could not be done any other way than this, unless it was broken up into volumes (which would increase their printing costs and shelf space needed to hold this precious resource). If it is needed by you, grabbing a magnifying glass to read this is WELL WORTH the slight hassle. Nonetheless, the obvious and tedious long and many hours of work put into this Bible stand out phenomenally. The quality that this tool provides is due full well deserves ten stars out of five (if that were possible), because this is a work of etymological brilliance. This is already one of my MOST FAVORITE Bible study aides because I used to have an LTV - but I passed on to my daughter. So I KNOW that this Bible will grow more and more on me. I've already got another copy coming in the mail that I am going to give to my pastor to aide him in his weekly sermon and personal Bible studies. The way that the LITERAL TRANSLATION reads is amazing! As far as the Greek translation: the wording is even left in it's original order, which sets it TRUE to the mark of being LITERAL. Therefore, in my opinion, Jay P. Green will have NO WORRIES when he faces God Almighty about how that he expressl translated and had put into print - "God's Holy Word" - because J. P. Green kept it pure and therefore TRUE. One can't go wrong with this purchase if they are getting it for themself or for someone else that GETS INTO THE MEAT OF THE WORD and desires to hold and SEE The Holy Word of God Jehovah written out in fully accurate truth. This Bible is NOT for those newly accepted into Christ's body - not by a lonnnnnnnnng shot. It is DEFINITELY for a more seasoned student in God's Word. *2 Timothy 2:15 (Word for word translated from the Greek states this:) those hearing. Earnestly (study) yourself approved to show to God a workman unashamed, rightly dividing the word (verse 16) of truth. (Then verse 16 continues). *Please see the highlighted text in photo. Then Green's "Literal Translation Version (LTV) of the Bible" translates it out as this: 2 Timothy 2:15 Earnestly study to show yourself approved to God, a workman unashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. All together... 1. I'd buy it again if I gave this one away. 2. It is an awesome copy of God's divinely inspired and thus Holy Word of the Truth that sets us free. 3. Once you get it you'll have a hard time putting it back down after you hold it Lovingly and tightly and when you have it opened up and are reading it. Trust me brother/sister in Christ (or non-believer)... I'm speaking from experience; I crave and need more time alone with God and this - His tool.

It really is a "5".
There is no difficulty reading the English or Hebrew or Greek text in this volume, not even the really small print for footnotes and such. Don't let the reduced text size put you off! This single volume contains everything the old 4-volume set contains, plus a few minor extras. This single volume is a little larger than other books, but not quite as big as, for example, Strong's big old volume. This volume by Green is 8 and 3/4" wide, 11" tall, and 1 and 3/4" thick. The margins are only a little less wide than the 4-volume set's margins. One volume fits in your lap or on your desk and you don't have to keep switching volumes as you study scriptures referring to the OT. There are no scripture references alongside the text, but you can't have everything. Use your KJV or your NASV or your Dake's for that. You are getting everything the 4-volume set has. This single volume is just like the 4-volume set, only with the pages reduced in size. The extra material includes a Preface which explains translation techniques used. Footnotes give references to the Received Text, and also the Majority Text which is slightly different. You get the Strong's numbers over each main word, which makes the volume even more valuable. It is just like the 4-volume set. It is true that the English translation in this volume is not the King James. For my money, it's better, being as close to a literal translation as you can get. The whole purpose of owning a volume like this is to understand Hebrew and Greek idioms and exact meanings and such. This volume gives you that. Don't expect the Hebrew or Greek texts to be crystal clear in readability; they are not, in regard to the tiny (microscopic?) diacritical markings especially. It's all there, but too small to be sure what the markings are exactly. If you know Hebrew or Greek already, you will have no trouble; and if you don't, the diacritical markings won't make that much difference to you anyway. If you must have the exact Hebrew, then buy Biblica Hebraica, R. Kittel, editor. If you must have the precise Greek text, then get the American Bible Society's 5th revised edition of the Greek text, which uses a better and bigger font. If you must have the textual apparatus, you get that in the ABS's 5th edition; it's not in Green's one-volume. But if you are only interested in getting the exact meaning of the Hebrew or Greek, wanting to use this volume to be a study aid in preparation for preaching or teaching, then this single volume is your best bet. Finally, you are getting a bargain in price. As each volume of the original 4-volume set came out, they cost around $50 apiece, for a total of over $200. Here you are getting the whole kaboodle for what I paid for a single volume in the 4-volume set!

I like. I like a lot
Very nice. This book is a tomb and the writing is pretty small, should probably get a magnifying glass to avoid eye strain.

Superb Quality!
This is a very high quality book! My only complaint is how incredibly small the writing is. The rest of the book and what the book is are amazing though. This book is for those who want to study and learn the Truth. Scriptures are clear about the lying pen of the scribes and their lies are extremely apparent in the KJV, to those who study the Word. The Renewed Covenant (pagans call it the new testament) was not written in Greek. It was written in Aramaic, but we've been lied to by Rome and told otherwise. So, in order to study from the Scripture books they gave us in xtianity (KJV, etc) we have to play the "Greek" game to try to understand what lies they are telling us. This will go over most xtians heads as they just believe whatever their predator (pastor) at their circus (ch-rch) tells them. Just the fact they they're even in a circus tells that they have never actually read or comprehend what the Scriptures say. If they did, they would clearly understand that YaHUSHA is our High Priest and we are not to trust ANY man. Yes, that's in Scriptures. So, this book will only benefit those who are willing to face the Truth that we've been lied to about EVERY SINGLE THING, and to try to figure out the lies. This book is worth every penny and I highly recommend it!

Reads from right to left.
It took me a minute because it reads from right to left. After I figured that out it was easier to make sense of what it was saying. I'm looking forward to a deeper study of God's word as it was written in the original language.

Não deve faltar na estante de quem estuda as Escrituras
A obra é uma excelente fonte de pesquisa. As letras são pequenas, mas acredito que se fossem maiores aumentaria muito em volume. No mais, goste!

Hebrew Greek English interlinear bible
Exactly as described. Hebrew And Greek to English interlinear bible. Believe it's based on the Textus Receptus manuscripts which are the foundation for the KJV. Really interesting seeing the original language with its English counterpart texts.... Good quality. Text is small, but there is so much to pack into this book I don't mind it.
