4.4-Pound Staple Floating Pellets for Koi and Pond Fish, Medium

This food really helps bring out the color of the fish. We went back to this after seeing how the fish scale color is not as bright. They really like this food too and the medium size seems the best.

I was worried that it was expensive, but it's a much bigger bag than I was expecting, making it a great deal! I normally buy from my local pet store but didn't have time to make the trip. I appreciate that the bag has a ziplock closure so I can reseal it as needed. My fish have been eating this food for over a year, and have great color and seem healthy.

Hikari foods provide good nutrition to our 17- & 18-year old koi. There’s no waste to cloud the water and they remain healthy & happy 🎏.

My Koi love it and price seems reasonable compared to other brands. I just received it last week Thursday so i'll have to write another review to see how this food helps out color wise for my Koi but so far so good, they all love it. This particular brand does have great reviews in Japan and so far majority of it stands true. I love that this is prime and received it timely :). I would definitely recommend this to other buyers as I cannot say enough great things about how much my Koi love this food.

You can smell real fish from the pellets. Notice that the pellets are hard and medium sized, so the pellets are not for small fish. The first time my koi felt the food was a little strange compared to their soft pellets from the other brand, but they really like it a few days later. The food ingredients have high nutrients and Hikari is a very respectable manufacturer that you can trust.

I go to staple for the nutrition basics for my Koi and Ryukin goldfish Pond. Hikari has several other options to bring your koi's color out, a basic wheat for cool temperatures and easy digestion... I have a large backyard pond and I find that this is a good food for growing your koi large. I also like that they carry the 4+ pound bags. I don't have to order as often. 5 stars even if it costs a little more

Switched to this food in the spring and WOW. Koi grew fast and their colour's popped. What a difference. Well worth spending a bit more on this. Doesn't cloud my water at all and my pond is only 1,500 gallons
